When to Quaker haven when I was a teenager, I had never done anything by myself before I was so worried if I would fit in. The connections I made as a teenager has carried through into my adult years. I am so blessed to have been able to go to this camp. I had the time of my life.
Absolutely amazing experiences every single time. So many beautiful memories within this magical place. Directors & staff are fantastic. 10/10 If you ever get a chance to attend or send your child, please do. You won't be disappointed.
Such a nice camp... Really beautiful with lots of shade and large beach, playground, boats and seating at Dewart Lake. Lots of camping sites as well as cabins and house lodging. The ppl who run the camp are super nice and have allowed us, if we call ahead, to play disc golf there. They continue to expand what they offer and I'm sure the kids who get to go to camp here have a fabulous time... We also enjoy sitting on shore for Boat-in Worship on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Our family has had a couple of events here including our daughter's wedding and we loved every minute we spent there. Highly recommended for family/friends events and getaways! ?
Overall it is a good place but I’m only giving this campground a four star review because I was applauded by the lack of proper bathroom doors. Warning there is no privacy in the bathrooms! The stalls only have shower curtains as a “door”. They need to install proper doors.
Update: doors have been installed and they look great!!
My best friends wedding was held here yesterday, and I can’t say enough great things. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were all just so kind and helpful. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Thank y’all so much for letting the newly weds have the perfect evening. I wish 6 stars was a thing, 5 is not enough.
Our family stayed in the Friendship Lodge for 2 nights. Very accommodating! Most of the beds are only twin or double but comfortable. Each room has a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked. We really enjoyed the huge living room for visiting, relaxing and eating our meals.
Real nice place! Enjoyed it there. Have a good swimming area.. and plenty of Kayaks, and canoes, and paddle boats.. also have a small sailboat and a larger one that four people can easily fit on!
It is a nice little camp ground, with half hookup for rvs. It is definitely not like a normal camp ground, but if you are looking for a quiet little spot without all the extras, then this would be perfect.
What a wonderful place to host a youth group! Spent a week here with 120 young people and it could not have been nicer! Beautiful lake front property, grassy area for games and lounging, a big gym and outdoor field for activities, and much more! You can't find a more welcoming and helpful staff than at Quaker Haven! The food was fabulous as everything was made from scratch! 10stars for the kitchen staff! This would be a great place to host a larger family reunion as well.
We just hosted a youth camp there for 120 kids. It was amazing. The food was fantastic. The camp was the perfect size. They had lots of activities for the kids to do during free time. The staff was just incredible. Plus, they had a camp dog named Oscar who was just adorable. Definitely come here with your youth groups!
It's a great place to visit and spend some good valuable time with friends and family. There is a grocery store close by to pick up some last minute stuff. They have a playground for children and a game room for another kids. They have basketball, tennis, Canoe,and paddle boats. Cabin's for any size family or get together's!! Make time and memories with your friends and family before it's to late!!
We camp at Quaker Haven every year, and we love it. It offers plenty of recreational options for a weekend. Dewart Lake is nice enough for swimming, fishing, kayaking/canoeing, and other water sports. There is a disc golf course that runs around the campground. The gym is great, although I don't think they run the AC in it anymore, so it gets warm. The lawns are set up for soccer and softball with plenty of area for other outdoor activities.
We thoroughly enjoyed our sibling reunion here at the Oak ? lodge, and the country setting! We so enjoyed the whole setup, including the pingpong game, and the adequate room sizes and furniture for comfort and relaxation. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The clean lake added so much to our pleasure, with a long, informative, relaxing pontoon ride, not to mention the nice $2 fee! The driver was truly a "Friend"! We know where to come again!
Camp Quaker Haven is trully a wonderful place and great for families. Our church organizes a camp/retreat every year. It is always a blast and the camp staff are quite delightful. They are very accommodating but also hold the campers (and parents) to a certain standard of respect. I will be coming back for years.
