WOW, WHAT AN AMAZING SHOP!
I called two shops to get a quote to replace a starter on my wifes car. Both quoted $680 before tax. Then I called Wood Auto Repair in Whiteland and was quoted $610. I made an appointment and dropped it off this morning. They called me a few hours later to confirm the starter was going bad and that it would be $587 all in. This is also one of the cleanest auto repair shops that I have been to.
Took my car here because I thought I had a broken hose, hoping for the best, but ended up being the power steering pump which was my second thought. Called me the morning I took it in and informed me of the situation. They had it fixed and ready to pick up before end of day. Highly recommend.
Super honest, my parents have told me multiple stories where this place does right by them and is more than fair. Trustworthy and they’ve always done great work.

6 years ago I took my sons 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix in took be looked at because I had coolant leak. They told me the engine needed to be replaced but they would be interested in buying for 500$. Turns out I poured gasket seal in and problem solved. 63,000 miles later still running strong. My son has taken it to Florida 3 times. The only issues we have had was a new battery and brakes. Needless to say better watch them if you use them.
Took my truck to a local dealership and they charged me $175.00 to diagnose the problem but wanted $1900.00 to replace the heater core. I was suspicious so I shopped around some and came across this fine company. They quoted $1300.00 for the same service but promised to re-diagnose the issue. They called me back after checking it out and explained they were able to get the heat working by flushing the system. Total charge for repair and a new fan relay and cabin filter was $204.18. Not to mention how friendly, engaging, and professional they were. I highly recommend this company and will be using them in the future. Thanks Woods for restoring my confidence in true customer service!
Kind workers and nice people. Explained to me what they did and what was going on. Had a drop box so we could leave our car the might before. Asked how we wanted to get the car. Were able to solve the problem within a day (we made an appointment). Building is easy to miss, but worth finding!
They charged me for a ac test in which I told them not to do because it would become inconclusive and they couldn't find the leak. They told me the would do a CO2 leak test and did a uv dye leak test and wasted a week of my time. Awful management and mechanics
Took my truck in for an alignment and they called back and said that my tie rods were bad and that there was a flat tire. Then after I picked it up my truck was still pulling to the left. The mechanic there said he just drove it down the street with the steering wheel at dead center and it was driving straight, so basically they were saying what that I was lying to them. Horrible experience.
Fantastic customer service. I reached out to multiple repair shops about getting my brakes repaired. Wood Auto Repair was the only shop that responded to me. They even got me in early! Great service and great prices. Highly, highly recommend.
These folks are excellent. They hire great people. They get the job done, and I know this will sound like a cliche, but they actually do go the extra mile. And they are nice! What else can you say?
I love this place! We drive all the way from Geist, because it's hard to find a good mechanic at a reasonable price anymore. I highly recommend them to everyone who asks!
Does not charge you for anything you don't need... unlike Edwards transmissions.. they're always polite, and always take care of my car within a short time period. I won't take my car anywhere else.
I just recently experienced my first car break down and I took it to these people. They were awesome,affordable, honest, and fast. I would definitely recommend coming here than any other place to have a vehicle worked on. I'm definitely coming back if my car breaks down again. :)
I've heard lots of people say that it's hard to find an honest mechanic. Well I was lucky enough to come across Wood Auto Repair over a decade ago, and they have been my trusted mechanic ever since.
I've had many bad experiences with mechanics. They didn't explain what was wrong, just told me what needed to be fixed. Or worse, they spoke to my husband and completely left me out of the conversation. Hey buck-o, I'm the one paying for the repair, and I'm the one driving the car. Talk to me about what the problem is.
I've learned a lot about how cars work by being a customer at Wood. Not only do their mechanics make a point to talk to ME about my car, they actually explain what's broken and what it does. It's not just "Oh, you need to fix this." It's, "This part is broken, and this is how it's effecting your car. And if you don't fix it now, this is how things will get worse." Or, when I'm lucky "Well, this is broken, but it's not urgent. Just fix it next time."
My 2000 Impala has over 250k miles on it. And it still runs like a champ. And I am absolutely certain it's because I've been taking it to Wood for regular maintenance since it had 65k miles on it. And I recently bought a new Honda and I wouldn't trust anyone but Wood to work on it.
