LEMONS. literally one of their staff drove a car to be taken off lot and said NOTHING till we drove it ourselves, breaks on their last legs bout to go out along with the engine! UNSAFE CARS. THEY KNOW THIS AND WILL NOT DISCLOSE. Takes advantage of desperate people!! death trap cars! unsafe! believe the rating and reviews as i regret not taking them serious.

Overpriced. Cars with flat tires. Poor service. Will charge u 1000 for a loan and it won't come off the balance of the the car. Won't call you back when you call them about a vehicle.

I stopped here because they had a model of car I was interested in. Despite being the middle of the day and during their regular posted hours, the door was locked and no one answered. I attempted to call their phone number and emailed them as well with no reply. The car I was interested in had no price posted on it and their website didn't list the price either. Aside from the vehicle I was interested in, most of the vehicles on their lot looked like trash, and I'm driving a 20 year old vehicle with 300k miles, so I don't expect perfection. While I was standing at the door trying to call them, someone walked out of the back shop area, but they totally ignored me. Update: I specifically asked for the price of the vehicle, and finally got a response almost two weeks later, and guess what they didn't provide? The price! Guessing this is a scammer place that preys on folks down on their luck, so I would recommend staying clear. I won't be back, that's for sure.

I figured I'd delete my last review and write a new one every since they fixed my first problem it was great and now I can't even talk to Leah that has the answers to my questions I need to no I been calling for 2weeks or so and the lady work keeps saying she's not in or she's on other line just a excuse after another I called today 9/9/2024 20 min on hold they hung up called back she said can I put u on 5 min hold b4 I could even say anything 1 hour later was still on hold and it hung up now busy signal like always so idk this place is starting to be a joke

This place is a joke and I really wish there was an option for zero stars because it doesn't even deserve one. They've got my husbands truck set for automatic payments and me and my husband both have tried multiple times to stop them. Mind you, this truck has been taken back and in their possession FOR 2 WEEKS NOW, BEFORE LAST PAYDAY. AND NOW ITS NOT EVEN ANYWHERE TO BE SEEN ON THE LOT. I let it slide when the payment came out last week, but i need to figure out how to stop the payment from coming out next week & the following weeks after that. My husband is no longer working & my check next week is short& i won't have enough money to cover the payment. I can't close our bank account yet because I'm still paying off a loan through them. Can anyone please tell me if i take my husbands name off the bank account, will that stop the payments? Scotts won't tell me and no one else that I've asked knows. If this payment comes out again it will overdraft my account. And if that happens i will make sure this situation gets publicity, & a lot of it. Because none of this is right. PS MY HUSBAND FORGOT TO TAKE OFF HIS PLATE THAT DOESN'T EXPIRE UNTIL NEXT YEAR, & YOU GUYS HAVE MADE THE TRUCK DISAPPEAR. HE NEEDS THE PLATE BACK.

This place is a joke. Do business with them at your own risk. Bought a truck there. It needed the left blinkers fixed. More than just a bulb. Leah told me she would get it ordered and they would install it. I called days later to ask about the part and was told they don’t have any mechanics working there! It’s been weeks and I still don’t have the part. No one has called me. When I am spending $21,000 on a vehicle I appreciate a little bit of follow thru. Any place that can’t follow thru with what they promise does not need my business. Hey Leah, I’m still waiting!!! Only been pulled over and once for not having those lights so far. Go somewhere else that really wants your business! Just an fyi. I have married. The account is under my married name of Papke. And it’s been a month and I’m still waiting on the part for my truck!

The receptionist is difficult. She acted like we were an inconvenience to even talk to. She wouldn’t take her earbuds out to help us. She had the phone hanging from her shirt. We had questions and she never called us back. PS… send your husband she will treat him different than she treats you.

I understand repoing a vehicle that got behind on payments, but refusing to give someone personal property out of their car after taking it while inside a gas station is ridiculous. Obviously the person wasn’t making payments because they was unable too so what makes someone think they can afford almost $800 to be able to just retrieve property? Will NEVER recommend Scott’s Auto to anyone again.

For new readers. I accidentally got behind on 2 payments and when I did make a payment via the phone they DIDN'T tell me I was behind. Not a peep. No bill was ever sent saying that I was behind. Apparently because the phone company doesn't do this it is every where. I find it despicable to treat buyers like this. This could hurt you financially. But in school we were told buyers be warned. So they repoed my car without warning, again this is my experience. $750 for the repo and then my 2 late payments. I want to make it clear that this is how they do things. They will leave you stranded anywhere. They did this to my friends. They will also use your negative posts here to determine if they will help you out or not. I was told they would evaluate my posts here. I would go somewhere else if I could. Sadly I had no where else to go. My experience is my experience. Being told on the phone up front would have been the right thing to do. But they didn't and I paid for it.

This place is a joke don’t go buy nothing from them. I called the same day I got my car an told them it was making noise an they said I couldn’t bring it back. A week later I had to have to towed from Louisville cus the alternator went out they still didn’t do anything. I called an told them about it the lady said bring all ur receipts in an I would get my money back. Top it off they lied about the radio an said it was the one that come with the car so I took off work went to Seymour to get it looked at for them to tell me it not the one that goes in there. Needless to say they got the car back an i left with nothing but in the end I got the better deal.

The people who I dealt with were nice. However, I got a car with a bad battery. I would think they would give you at least a 2 year old battery, mine was 5 years old. I had to buy a new one shortly after getting back to Bloomington. People just make sure your "as is" has a good battery, at least. Maybe ask for one. All their stock can be found online. Their prices are higher than other places probably because they do fixes on cars that have been in an accident. (Just know that. Because other places are $5000 cheaper) and to get your proof of payment you HAVE to give them your credit card number and info. They just cannot send an email without it.

Won't let me but id give them Half a star don't come here. They lie through their teeth about payments and vehicles. Car said it had A/C it didn't. Car said ran great it didn't had to spend over $800 to get it fixed. And when I tried getting a different car they wouldnt let me said I had to get the one they gave me.

I wouldn't take my dog here. This place is a joke. The only thing they're decent at is lying. I suggest you don't take your money here. Customer service is non-existent if you're lucky. If you do get to talk to customer service you'd have a better time talking to your ex-wife that hates your guts. These people are crooks, they only see you as a next victim not a client.

Amazing customer service! They are definitely helpful and good merchandise. Bought a 2013 Chevy equinox with low miles and great condition! Leah was very helpful during the whole process and was quick and easy as far as purchase process!

I would definitely leave negative stars if I could! My son amd daughter in law bought a car from them today. Didn't even make it home and it over heated. Which is less than 25 miles. Ultimately it's a blown head gasket. Contacted the dealer again...less than 3 hours after buying the car and was told its "as is you're stuck with it". My son checked oil, antifreeze everything. It was all clean. I'm sure they made sure it had fresh fluids before they got there. Life is hard enough on these kids starting out! Why be a crook and make it harder!

Absolutely love scotts! Theyve done my family amazing! Have never gotten a bad vehicle! Super friendly and helpful staff! Would recommend this company to everyone!

Ive been going to Scotts for about 10yrs now, and i have to say i wouldnt want to go anywhere else. I love the familar friendly faces. They work with you on payments if something comes up, they are very understanding and caring. Great variety of vehicles to choose from. We've gotten a car, SUV, and a truck from them. You are going to a used car lot, there will be a few things youre gonna have to take care of on your own. All in all think we may go back and take another look around, see whats new.

Just got a car from here. It runs good and was a decent price. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

This place is horrible bad practice and bad cars, I got a 06 jeep liberty and it has been a pile of junk and it has a oil leak and it has a rag stuffed in it to stop the leak, traction control is out and it locks up my tire, the key won't come out of the slot, door don't open, um no tank for wipers, overall piece of junk, also been trying for a month to exchange it and still can't get anything else and was there today for 3+ hours with no results. Leah is a terrible terrible manager, won't call you back, blows you off and thinks it's ok ,. Horrible service here

Would rate 0 if i could. They decide to repo with no warning and leave me and my fiance stranded in seymour ( we live in freetown) at the grocery store with no way to get home. They also refuse to give me my belongings out of the car. Worst company ive had the displeasure of working with..

I would give this place zero stars if it would let me! Scott’s sales is very unprofessional! I’m paying on a truck I got this summer and the very next day I had issues with the truck, I hade to replace the starter the next day!! And not even a month later the transmission went out and I had to play $1,600 to get it rebuilt and when I called Scott’s to see if they could help since I only had the tuck a little over a month. They told me to bring in recipes and we round talk more. I called then a few days later and they would just ignore me and avoid the question by saying we “We will find out more information and see what we can do.” They told me that twice within 3 weeks or so. And On top of everything else they forget when I make payments and they have called me several time trying to take make me pay before my SET payment plan. This place is an actual joke! And if I were you take your money somewhere else!

This place is a joke. Sold me a faulty car that I had to spend 600+ dollars to fix to begin with , didn’t take my payments out then took my car and tried to make me pay a 700$ tow fee WHEN THEY DIDNT TOW THE CAR TO BEGIN WITH , the keys were in it . Then when I go to get my belongings because I don’t want to mess with this joke of a place anymore my mom gets called rude names and is cussed out before we walk out the door . It’s absolutely ridiculous , over priced for cars that are falling apart and staff doesn’t care about their customers . I would never recommend this train wreck of a place to ANYONE .

Went in Wednesday and took home an awesome ride. Been to Indy and back twice in it. Zero problems. Down payment was low and monthly payments are affordable. It was nice going to a lot that doesn't have a goal of screwing folks. They clearly explained the possible reasons for repos and the consequences and cost of getting your vehicle back. Even signed a paper about it. I see the bad reviews but if you pay on time or COMMUNICATE that you may be late, and keep insurance, you'll have no worries. And if you buy a used car anywhere, there's a possibility of issues. There are no warranties here so test drive it or have your mechanic do it and quit complaining. Great service. Great ride. Just got a 07 Dodge Caliber 3 weeks ago. Drove it around town just fine, drove 30 minutes away and the car shut down on me from transmission problems. Been calling for a week now and the lady at the front desk was so unprofessional and rude and continued to hang up on me multiple times. Worst service I’ve ever experienced, regret the day I went to Scotts. My advice, do not do it.

This place is a joke! How professional is it to hang up on you when they just repod your car right before your payment? The last dealership I've been to where I paid my car off never tried screwing me over. Never had my car repod once. However this place charged $750.00 every time they decide to repo the car a day before I make my payment. I have been patient with them after they tried saying I made a smaller payment than I made even when proving with bank statement. They also recently tried saying I hadn't made a payment in a month and when I proved that was false through bank statements, their excuse was that they hadn't put it down in the computer yet! (So watch out, if you don't have bank statements, that's how they screw you. I've struggled a few times but I always made my payments. They try to say the car is stolen when you argue with them defending your rights. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Also, every car I test drove were falling a part and only had the choice of that car I got from there. I soon as I drove it off the lot turn signals were out, we learned it has a bad wiring problem and everything was falling apart. The last 9 months the headlights haven't worked. One would work while the other one wouldn't and both decided to go out. We completely changed the whole headlights and still they wouldn't work. That car needs the junkyard. I tried to be civil and I was patient even when I felt I waa getting screwed over. I just gave them the car back. It wasn't worth fighting over and their business is terrible.

Bought a 2008 Dodge truck here. Had it 5 months ( if that ) and they up and decide two days before our payment is due to repo it( for no reason) . They took personal belongings and refused to give them back. Couldn't explain why they repo'ed it or anything ( said it was none of our business). Unless you wanna pay for a car they will take away and pay for a lawyer I advise to not buy from here

Worst buy here pay here I've ever been to. Got a car from them, was a lemon. (Obviously). Brought it back to them because I could not afford the payments of $160 every two weeks ($6,495 for a 2005 Scion XB with 100,000 miles) which is ridiculous in itself. Plus pay for everything needed on it. Then 2 months later I get a letter saying I owe them $9,032. DO NOT COME HERE!
