Last week my wife and I were going to Indianapolis for my annual liver transplant follow up and while we were on the interstate the serpentine belt broke. I was able to get it into the Autozone parking lot where it died. That is where we figured out that the alternator went out and that is what broke the belt. Later we found that the belt breaking broke the tensioner off as well. Thankfully they had all of the tools and parts that we needed. Chris helped us figure out everything that we needed and came out to check on us several times to see if we needed anything else. This is the first repair job that I have had to do since my liver transplant. Thankfully my wife is very mechanically inclined and did everything she could. Chris gave us the direction that we needed. Everyone was absolutely wonderful to us and we really appreciate all of the parts being in stock and the knowledge provided. We were in and out in 1.5 hours. Thank you!
I recently sent my son to AutoZone in Gas City. We are not mechanically inclined at all they installed our battery for us free of charge and they also fixed his windshield wipers free of charge and they were so kind and considerate I want to give Mike and Jason a big thumbs up and thank you.
The atmosphere is...a very well kept and stocked store. A very pleasant and efficient staff get you exactly what you're looking for. Came in with a car battery needing replaced, they got a new one found and up to the counter in minutes. If you're in need of quality auto parts and friendly staff who can help with anything you need....this store is the place!
Sarah is always happy to help me anytime I go in there for parts for my jeep and even helped with getting me batteries for my golf cart! Definitely makes car troubles seem not so big anymore!
Always very helpful when im in there. Sarah is always very helpful when im in need for parts and if the store doesn't carry the parts she will go out of her way to help find the parts else where. Would definitely recommend you speak with sarah when shopping at the Gas City Autozone
The staff here really helped me out. I had brake issues and had to get off the road ASAP to fix. Jim made sure I had everything I needed. He really went the extra mile to make sure I could get back on the road safely. Huge thank you to Jim and this auto zone.

Of the two stores in Grant County, the Gas City location always seems to have the part available and in stock. The location 4 blocks from my home, not so much.
Employees were very helpful. They went above and beyond. We ran into problems with our vehicle on a Sunday on the way home from a long trip and were still 4 hours from home. Got there when they opened: 8:30a. Amanda helped us figure out what was wrong and even called around to see who could do the auto work for us... on a SUNDAY. We drove 5 minutes to a very friendly mechanic and were back on the road by 11a. Great experience in a stressful situation.
Went in and was having a hard time finding what I needed. Phelesha was awesome and was able to quickly get me what I needed, and applied a Military discount. 5 star employee!

Needed a tool to change lug nuts and bolts on tire, kid gave me wrong tool three times before I finally got it right very unacceptable but generally a good place to be

I have had excellent service at this store. We are always greeted by the friendly staff when entering. We always ask for Amanda. She is very knowledgeable. If they don't have the parts right then we always have it that day or the next. We have several vehicles and always rely on Amanda to help us get the right parts. Excellent customer service here.
This is by far the best experience I have ever had at any AutoZone location. I was traveling to Kokomo from Fort Wayne and had a light come on that my battery was not charging. I stopped in gas city at AutoZone and Jason Tested my alternator for me. It was bad and I wasn’t going to make it much farther and would have had to tow my vehicle along way while being stranded out of town. I was fortunate enough to end up there at closing time and was able to get my alternator replaced. Jason hands-down has the best customer service out there for any AutoZone employee and I have been to many AutoZone locations. I highly recommend supporting this AutoZone location and shopping with Jason for any questions you may have because he is very educated and informative.
Went to get a battery and they installed it quickly and for free! Fast friendly service and I got a discount because the last battery was still on warranty. They keep your warranty on their computer which is great because I had lost it.
Parts are getting to cheap seem to be from China. Replaced CV Joints and 6 months later had to do it again, They fell apart, same thing on front wheel hubs, they lasted 3 months then replaced but found out they had very little grease in them. Injected more grease through the seal and they are still good. Like I said they need to get better parts. The original bearings lasted 200,000 miles the second set lasted 3,000 miles.
