Kevin and his team are fantastic! They went out of their way to pull parts for me I needed quickly. I was under time constraints and Kevin made sure all the parts I requested were waiting for me when I arrived. Even when I requested additional parts after I arrived, they were able to pull parts immediately and I was on my way faster than going to the hardware store! Fraudulent Charges and Zero Customer Service Rating: 1/5 Beware of Rock City Auto Parts! I ordered a $45 ABS control module, but they charged me $2800. They never sent the part and refused to respond to any of my inquiries. When I tried to dispute the charge, they altered the purchase order to show the higher amount. This company is running a scam operation. They have no regard for their customers and engage in fraudulent practices. I have all the documentation to prove it. Do yourself a favor and avoid Rock City Auto Parts. They will steal your money and leave you with nothing but frustration.

BUYER BEWARE READ YELP REVIEWS!! I will start off with saying we are a professional automotive service center with a long history of good business. We purchased a transmission from this company in February. When our driver went to pick it up he was told they misplaced the ticket but would email a copy. To date still no copy even after asking Kevin for it. We installed the transmission in the customers vehicle in March had it reprogrammed and went to drive it only to discover the transmission was no good. We called the yard spoke with mike who said he would call us back later in the week when he had another unit pulled. A week goes by and we never heard anything so I call and get Kevin who says nobody knows anything about the previous conversation including mike. He also informs me the trans is no longer under warranty they only offer a month even though when i purchased it mike told me three months. I did the math it was 5 days from a month when i first called so that makes me wonder there. I have been told several times owner will have to call me back and they would have him call. No phone calls I even went so far as to pull phone bill records to see how many times I have called and how many they have called back for those who want to know the score currently it is me 39 calls made them 0 returned. All I would like is for them to either refund our money or give us a replacement unit as I still have not gotten one for this customer. Stand behind your product don't dodge the warranty. I hate typing this because this is a small business like myself but with where I am in this situation I feel others need to be warned so as not out what I am currently out in finances and time.

I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with Rock city Auto. I purchased a transmission for my 1966 Ford Thunderbird listed around 650$ with shipping. At the same time, they requested for card information and charged me the exact amount, however, within a week without any order and permission they charged my account 2044.38$. When I contacted their customer service, I was met with unhelpful responses and a complete lack of accountability, on top of that I tried to contact Rock Auto to resolve this issue, they blocked my number, effectively shutting down any possibility of communication. This is nothing short of a scam! They refused to address my concerns or offer any form of compensation. It is clear that this company has no interest in customer satisfaction or ethical business practices. To make matters worse, Rock City Auto continues to operate as if they are a legitimate company, despite scamming customers like me. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from Rock City Auto to think twice. Save your time, money, and sanity – go to a reputable dealer instead. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. Rock City Auto is a scam, and they should be held accountable for their fraudulent activities. Do yourself a favor and avoid Rock City Auto at all costs!

Dishonest and Unreliable - Stay Away! My experience with Rock City Auto Parts has been a nightmare. I placed an order for an ABS control module for $45, but they charged me a staggering $2800. Despite numerous calls and emails, they never shipped the part and ignored all my attempts to resolve the issue. When I disputed the charge, they submitted a falsified purchase order with the inflated amount. This is blatant fraud. I have all the evidence and am ready to take legal action. Rock City Auto Parts is deceitful and untrustworthy. Avoid them at all costs if you don't want to be scammed!

I ordered a steering gear box And it was damaged so I didn’t take it but this place told me it was a used part and made me feel bad for not taking it when I took my old part back to the truck and came back in for my glasses which I left on the counter they said they were never there but I know they were I also found the part elsewhere for 1/2 the cost and not broken

Bought an engine for a Jeep, paid to have it shipped out. The engine was bad, knocked like the crank was broken in 2 pieces. Called Kevin and assured he have another engine sent out. After about 5 promises of "It's on the truck on it's way to you", we finally realized after 2 weeks that there was no engine on the way. Also, that's when they started ignoring the phone calls. Needless to say, we had to get another engine somewhere else. I had to file a chargeback on my card to which they fought. They said since we said the motor was "in working condition when we signed for it off the freight truck" that it was now OUR PROBLEM. How can you determine an engine is in working condition when it's on a pallet? Mike runs blocker for Kevin and goes along with the lies and deceitful practices. Kevin is never there when you call. After calling and getting heated, Mike hangs up because he doesn't want to hear about it either. They never ran the engine before they sent it like they stated. They have my money for now. Check out Yelp reviews for a better insight to how they operate. Next step is to talk to the state attorney for Illinois and see if this is the type of transaction they allow. EDIT And they then bash my integrity for ripping ME off. Lowest of the low Attached are pictures of the inside of the oil pan and engine. The piston was broken on the #6 cylinder and the skirt ended up in the oil pan. Clearly proving they never ran this engine.

I came for an alternator. I gave them the wrong engine size (it happens) so the alternator didn’t fit. I thought I was out $50 and would have to buy a completely new alternator (the one that actually fit), but the guys at Rock City Auto were very understanding and easily swapped the alternators out. I was very surprised and left very satisfied. 10/10 would recommend to all of my family and friends in need of affordable used auto parts

Mike went above and beyond reaching out to his other sources using my vin number to make sure I was getting the right part ( transfer case) before I left the buisness. After a rough day dealing with life's curveballs. I called them up and they gave me a price over the phone and just like they said "if it doesn't work bring it back and we'll give you another one." I had a rough day dealing with LKQ and their ridiculous warranty that you pay top $$$ for and they don't follow through, And on top of it you have to pull the parts yourself. Thank you guys for helping me out and get us back on the road. You had the part pulled for me and ready on the counter waiting for me when I got there. I purchased an Audi engine from them; they told me it was compression tested. Ran perfectly for 500mi until piston rings went bad in one cylinder, rendering the entire engine un-usable. I called them, and they told me that "Kevin" would call me to sort things out. I never got a call back, and they had excuses every time on why he hasn't called back. It wasn't till they completely blocked my number; now, when I call it, it sends me to voice mail. Do not do business with them; they will scam you! This has happened to many people before and still now. Scroll down and you will see other similar reviews. Also some reviews to "help" their rating. BEWARE!

I own a shop in New Windsor, IL and we took the chance to get an engine from Rock City Auto hoping for the best. Put the engine from Rock City Auto in for one of our customers and it ran, but had a loud type writer noise coming from the camshaft/ top of engine. We called them back, only to get a half sarcastic/grumpy answer on the phone once we described our issue. At first Rock City Auto made it seem like it was up to us to diagnose and fix the issue, when they claimed to stand by a warranty. We refused to repair the engine they sent, as it is money from our pocket and was their responsibility to send an engine that was " running perfectly". They eventually agreed to send us another engine. We wait one week...no phone calls with updates and no engine. We call them---their response is " the engine is being taken out right now-itll be shipped tomorrow". Wait another week....no engine and no phone calls. We called again today and asked for a tracking number for this next engine, they gave us the tracking number and all was well. Check the tracking number and its from our first engine (the bad one). We have now attempted to call back at least 20-25 times and left voicemails with no calls back and no attempts at making the situation correct. Coming from a business owner, I would NOT trust this company to stand by any garbage they sell. They are more scam artists than they are a business. We have a 78 year old woman stranded without a car because of these people, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. ALSO- NO WE DID NOT BUY THIS FROM ROCK AUTO PARTS ONLINE, THIS WAS A USED ENGINE FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Kevin also made it known he was more concerned with me deleting my review than resolving this issue. Kevin is a narcissist who has no value in customer service as many of the other negative reviews show. He took it upon himself to leave negative reviews on my business..if only Kevin put the effort into actually being a good person he could have a good business!
