I always have a great shopping experience at Advanced Auto Parts. I really like the New Lenox and Ottawa, IL store where I used to live. Both stores are well stocked, have what I am looking for and the staff are helpful when choosing an auto part. The prices are reasonable. The staff will even go out of their way and install the windshield wiper blades and the air filter for you. How great is that?

There is a guy working at advanced auto who goes beyond!!!!! His name is Dan . He went out of his way and put a bulb in for me . I have no one to help me and I am so greatful !! Also the store is well stocked I found a product I couldn’t find anywhere else . I’m going to spread the word ! The New Lenox location

Adan was super helpful in helping me change out the correct fuse in order to fix my car’s cigarette lighter that didn't work

Trash. Disorganized and not a single person willing to help. They just stare at you while you rifle through the chaos.

Alex and Tyler, at the New Lenox, IL location are wonderful associates, they both were friendly and went out of their way to help me get the parts I needed. As a woman and a new owner of a Jeep Wrangler you can imagine my troubles, lol Kim K.

I was driving home from work when I started smelling coolant. I then noticed a puddle forming on the passenger side floor panel. My heater core had exploded and I was loosing coolant fast. I drove to this advance auto and they were able to help get me back up and going. Adan worked with me to insure I got what I needed to fix my issue. Adan was super respectful, knowledgeable, and resourceful. He was quick with coming up with a solution and the parts so I could perform a temporary fix on my vehicle, he was able yo get me back on the road while I wait for a replacement part. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would.

I'm visiting from out of town and Dan was very helpful, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile for me when my alternator stopped working and found one nearby so I could get back to enjoying my family visit. Thanks Dan!!!

I use it as a UPS drop off point. The staff seems real friendly and are always happy to just help me out even though I'm not there for auto parts.

Edit: This has gone down hill severely in the past 2 years!! Save yourself aggravation and money by going to any of the numerous competitors across the street. Everytime you walk in here they trat you like you are bothering them. Staff is very rude and NOT helpful. It's a shame they let the store be run this way. It's a culture in there, not just one employee. They are overpriced alon their merchandise as well. The employees here are great!! So helpful and friendly. I have never been talked down to here no matter how small the question. I highly recommend Advanced over any other auto parts store in the area.

There are numerous auto parts stores in the New Lenox area but don't assume they are all the same. The prices might be comparable but I have to tell you I only go to Advance because of employees like Steve who work there. He goes out of his way to help people like myself who aren't mechanically inclined. He was so nice in helping me over the phone find the right part when I honestly didn't know what I was doing. He never made me feel stupid, or never rushed me off the phone, and made it seem like my problem was his as well. Then when I went to the store he came outside to my car to look at it to make sure it was the correct part. This is the type of customer service that nowadays you rarely see anymore and for the most part is a thing of the past unfortunately in this day in age. Well Steve displayed to me that even though it's rare, great customer service does still exist and I thank him very much for not just being a great employee but just as importantly a great person. Thank you Steve! I will not shop at any other auto parts store in the area and will refer my friends and family to Advance at this location because of the kindness Steve showed me.

I don't know if previous customer ticked him off but someone gotta tell the guy there working today to smile a little and be approachable. Seemed like a bother to ask him to email me the receipt over a couple small items. I mean goodness.

Stopped in for oil and a tire plug kit...the gal working the store said she was by her self. It's understandable.. very polite..but didn't care for the wait..

They are awesome people to deal with. I took my car their i needed a new battery. Asked them for tools to remove my battery and they did not hesitate to help me out..

I’ve been coming to this location for 10+ years and have always had an amazing experience. Tonight topped that when two gentlemen (Dan & I didn’t catch the other guy’s name) working there helped me change my headlight after me struggling for an hour at home doing it. I didn’t even have to ask for help, they offered. They are awesome! Give them a raise! ;)

Ordering online is the way to go! Sometimes there's better discounts and you can use your speed perks rewards (perks members). I have gotten some items almost for free that way.

Only reason this is a 1 star is because I couldnt rate it lower. My battery on my car died this morning and wouldnt jump with the aid of another car but was able to use a jump starter kit so i could get it to Advance Auto. As soon as i arrived, one of their employees seemed very uninterested and i asked about having a battery in stock, he tested the battery with their equipment and told me my starter was the issue. Fast forward 2 hours and i find out he lied so he wouldnt have to change it for me on a 90 degree day. The reason i know this is because after i get a hold of a local mechanic i know and he is able to check it out, he tells me that i should try out Autozone and have them test it because he was fairly certain my battery was the culprit. I ran over to Autozone and they were the most helpful and friendly employees. They use the same equipment as Advance Auto to test my battery and DING DING DING, I need a new battery. Autozone, you have gained a loyal customer, i will never be going to Advance Auto again.

Its... alright. I only go here for the sole reason that they have stock. The staff don't seem to know what they're doing but some are pretty nice to talk to. It's a solid Meh from me.

I went there to pick up a UPS package. Then I remembered that I needed a new hose for my windshield. Even though they didn't have the correct size, the person who helped me was very helpful and even cut a couple of hoses for me to tey great place for car parts. They took good care of all the other people there.

Fast and fiendly service! And they also help put my rather large heavy order into my truck which I totally appreciated!

Went in the store today, my wiper blade was torn. Mike sold me the blades I needed, and he went above and beyond. He went outside in the rain and replaced them for me!! Great service!!

Manager is not a very friendly guy. Very educated with vehicle repair but i find myself going to autozone because i feel more welcome in the store. Yes his position requires knowledge but he is still in a customer service position and that he 100% lacks.

Got the parts I needed and they applied the internet coupon with no hassle. Very nice helpful people

Very friendly and helpful staff. They offered me information, everything I needed was in stock, and provided excellent customer service.

Big selection, if they don't have what you need they will have it next day, even engines and transmissions. The best knowlegable staff for helpfulness on finding parts and info on helping you change the parts.

I come here a couple times a year, and I have had great service every time I've been here. I usually order online and pick up at this store, and there have never been any problems. Through the years of shopping at this store, I have nothing to complain about, so 5/5 for this place!
