I took someone in to turn in cans. I did not see the 1st bag get weigh. They should make sure person sees them weigh each bag before throwing them in the pile. Other than that, service was way and quick. Each person smiled.
1200 # of scrap steel, aluminum, and stainless steel , there was a stainless grill,patio heater 8 rotors and all the rest all I got was. $42.00 wow I won’t come back here again !!!
Been there over a hundred times. They have always been good to me. Never any bad attitudes like some places. Prices have always been comparable or better than others.
First time here. They were incredibly helpful especially with explaining the process to me for future visits, even though they were busy they were very patient and I really appreciated that.
Been taking scrap here the past few months and they have the best prices around, for example i had 2200 pounds of batteries and they paid 27 cents a pound while i called other places and they paid 19-22 cents a pound. Will keep doing business with them
I shopped around and found Berlinskys had the best price around and when I was ready to bring the stainless steel in, I called to verify the price and what time they opened. They assured me that someone would be there on Saturday and would know the price I was quoted and I was told it was 2 cents higher than my original quote. They had me weigh in and then told me where to park truck and unload. They also had 2 guys help me unload my truck. So from time to unload till I had check in hand it was under 1 hour. Very happy with service. I will be back soon with more stainless steel and aluminum. Thanks Ken

I had to take some left over scrap that my son had accumulated for several years to the scrap yard. I’ve dealt with Berlinsky before and had a good experience so I decided to take the scrap there. Again, a good experience. The folks there were fast, efficient, helped me unload. Can’t ask for more.
I sent people here all the time. But I will no longer do it!! I came here looking for 5/8 plate. They had it. Had to buy 150 lbs. min...no problem.Can you do me a favor and cut it 4'x8" No!! Absolutely not...I will not allow my people to cut it.... Yeah well I will no long send my scrap to you...10 minutes of cutting traded for tons of scrap...bad business.
To your reply...So now you are kind of calling me a liar...You did say "No. I will not allow my people to cut that steel. I would have to charge you an absorbenant amount of money to do that...Absolutely not." So...other than the fact you would have to charge me an large sum of money, why would you not allow your people to cut the metal?? Your people told me as long as I got permission, it would be no problem. That is why I asked. You said "No".. So am I liar??? I will be sending my business elsewhere and you can bet I will be mentioning this too...Call me a liar..... Thanks... but I was there, and now I hear you.
Horrible customer service. Was told that the cardboard that we were bringing to them had to dry and flatten. Also, the idiots there thought an aluminum ladder was steel and said they wouldnt take it. Then, after we asked what kind of metal it was, they tested it with a magnet and went "oh, I guess it is aluminum." They didnt take any of our steel.
Great place. Staff was really helpful unloading all my scrap materials. Competive prices. Just which they had a better unload area. Have been to other places. That you drive in. And then through and out. Got alittle confusing on who was next in line. That being said. I would recommend this place!
They had the best price for lead acid batteries. Problem is their scale is definitely not calibrated. They didn't use a small scale for a small amount of scrap. They shorted me 40 pounds and they're only answer was well that's what the scale said. I know for a fact the batteries that I dropped off weighed 40 pounds more than what they paid.
The scrap industry has gritty people, I get that. However, one of the workers lifted a magnet full of mixed scrap above me. He could have easily killed me. I looked at him like "what the f***", and he started laughing. Well laugh about this Berlinsky, I'll go to American Recycle where the prices and service are better.
The workers are rude and love mocking people, I brought in 6 bags (two bags with ALL crushed cans) and somehow got less than I did when I only brought in 4.
For being my first time going to a scrap yard I go it handed to me. I brought in a complete exhaust with 4 catalytic convertors on it and some misc other car parts. An they tell me that they can't pay me for the catalytic convertor s because they weren't cut off. The guy said to go in the office an ask them if they will pay me for them an the Spanish lady was not to friendly an said it wasn't there problem. Well it is your problem when I was told the day before just to bring it in how i had it. So next time loose the ignorance an tell your customers before hand the right way. That's for stealing form a last time customer. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
