My dad has been going to BL Duke for a few years now and always has the best experience. The staff is welcoming and professional, never leaving disappointed. He especially speaks highly of Ish, who has been the biggest helping hand.
I have only been here once with a small amount of scrap, but the employees were very polite and helpful, even guiding me through the process of getting my cash for the scrap I brought. I do wish they had means of weighing smaller drop-offs, since they weigh your car before and after you dump your scrap. It's definitely aimed for big trucks full of scrap, but its nice that its still possible to get a few bucks even if you have a small amount.
Hey, looking at myself. I been through there a few times. With people. Happy they do deals like they do. Excepting the scap they selected. To them that dont scap junk throughout the city. Cause I wouldn't know we're to start from. Reasonable people with a reasonable location. Thanks for your help.
Maps brought me to the charging stations in the parking area. Some boy came up and accused me of stealing electricity, while I had my card out trying to pay. He left us alone for a moment, then came back to say it was for employees only. Not a problem, really. Listings can be wrongfully added to maps. The oddest part came when that same kid tried to follow me after leaving. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish, but I'm happy he pulled away before we decided to do something about it.
Omg this is my first time here and I will NEVER be returning again the workers are so rude like hello I told you it was my first time I wanted to know where to go what the procedures where.
I used to like this place until today. I get it it’s almost closing time but 5pm means 5pm to me. Nothing says anything about last call or anything. I pull on the scale at 448 after i just hauled trying to get there. They ring the bell, cool ya know. As im unloading fast cause I gotta hit the small scale with a couple things one of the guys says the small scale is closed. I look at my phone and its like 7 minutes till 5pm. I says it isn’t 5 yet. He doesn’t respond and walks away. So i get done go weight and now its 456pm after I weighed out and I started heading to the small scale and dude says it’s closed. I says it isnt 5 yet. He looks down at his phone and says it’s close enough. I felt discriminated against cause their demeanor was very unfriendly and they didn’t like me or maybe they didn’t like my 60k truck. Not sure but post something online about 10 minute step down or say it closes at 450pm. I don’t have time for this nonsense. Might have to get a lawyer. We’ll see.
No clear direction on how to use the drive up scale. Lady managing the scale house was rude and not helpful at all. Berating customers is not a good business practice.
