Very disappointing experience. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, he had an attitude the entire time and even threatened to charge me just for phone calls. That’s not how you treat customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or respectful service.
Twice I took my car to them to be fixed and twice they did NOT fix it. 2nd time charged me for repairs NOT made, and left my car without oil, placed receipt and keys in vehicle but not the parts I purchased. I’m super disappointed with their ‘service’ I will not be using or referring them to anyone ever again.

My old car was parked out front of our house and decided it didn't want to start up in 7 degree weather with a snowstorm on its way. 🤦 Our street is on the plow route and when I asked these guys if they'd have time to come help me get it moved into our driveway they said of course and tried to not even charge me anything to scoot it in and get it out of the way of the street crews!
Greatful for their willingness to serve their community, set up our street crews for success before a big storm, and especially for saving me from freezing my fingers off trying to get the thing started up! 🤣❤️
I have had this company move my floor scrubber and my personal vehicles moved for at least 3 years

Quick repairs, great pricing, and friendly customer service. My work is neighbors with them, and they have always helped my coworkers and I out in a jiffy. They are all about taking care of the local neighborhood, and Wood River is blessed to have them here.
Hearing all these amazing reviews I had my car towed to this shop and 3 weeks later they keep telling me my car is being worked on but refuse to tell me @ what costs for parts and labor I just want to know what is wrong with my vehicle and they refuse to tell me but constantly claiming that it’s being worked on
Best auto repair shop I've been to recently Very helpful and everyone there was very polite. They new what I needed and got a great price, finished work quickly. I will be back if need any repairs done in future!! Not sure if everyone's names but thank you Barry 👍
Recently had a great experience with Bill and Joe's towing my vehicle actually broke down in their cottage hills parking lot on Thanksgiving. Instead of placing it in impound or doing anything that could have hurt me financially. They gave me ample time, leaving my broke down car in their lot and then bought it from me outright when I got my paperwork together. Thank you Bill and Joe's! You guys rule!
The owner was over all friendly. However, I had went in with my friend. (Her car was towed) I started asking questions about how much they cost per hour for storage and stuff like that. Owner switched up very quickly and said “why are you asking questions when it’s not your car? I could raise her price to two days if you wanted me too”. However her car wasn’t even there for more than 12 hours. She came home after midnight. This seems very un-business like when I was politely asking… he also made her pay with only cash. So I find it weird the owner got defensive when I was asking about pricing.
450 to tow car 95 for use of a flat bed 85 for cleanup 75 d a day storage total 1500 gave them title could not afford to get my car forgot my plates called them to get them was told i was not there priority these people was the rudest people to deal with i would never reconmend this towing copany to anyone i feel like i was taken avanage off
why no one should buy or deal with this business. About 2 years ago my girlfriend bought a ford explorer with the 4.6 liter v8 seemed to be a good car rust free one previous owner clean but after a few days of owning it check engine light came on (cylinder six misfire) and this is where all the issues started to come up they had the car on and off for about 6 months (they just kept throwing parts at it) replaced all 8 coils and plugs checked wires running from coils but couldn't seem to get the check engine light to come off. After 8 months of her owning this car I decided to have a reputable shop (pro automotive) do a compression test and found cylinder 6 had very low compression (40 psi) after getting that information we went to biil & Joe's shop to ask if they had done a compression test which they assured us they had. So we asked for the maintenance records and they could not produce any maintenance records for the car. They said there paper work was messed up at the time and would have to find it later we never received any paperwork they had no proof they did any work to this car besides the parts I saw on the top of the engine, I would not recommend anyone use this shop the tow service or purchase a car from them. Unless you want to waist time money and replace a headgasket.
They went above and beyond to help my daughter get her car towed back to town and then they got it fixed for me. All while being so helpful and polite. Will definitely use them again. Thank you!!
I hit a pothole traveling to Arkansas from Michigan on the evening of March 4, 2023. It busted my front tire. It was around 9:30-10PM Saturday evening. I pulled over and was in Fairmont City. Had been calling all over looking for help. Eventually I got Bill and Joes on the phone and spoke to Steve. I was going to spend the night and he mentioned I may want to go to Pontoon Beach, which I did. First thing Sunday morning, Steve came down to their shop and met me there and changed my tire and got me on my way again. Such a nice and professional guy. Didn't even charge me enough to do the work. Didn't try to overcharge simply because I was in a pickle and out of town. If I'm ever in this area and need any kind of help, I'm calling Steve. Wood River residents, you need to support and shop at this business. I wish more places like this existed where I live with good folks like Steve who would help you any way they can and not expect anything in return but a thank you and a hand shake. Thank you, again, Steve! You saved my weekend!
