We pre-weighed 61 lbs of crushed cans and sat and watched as cans were added to the scale and the scale not change. We got paid for 46 lbs. They stole 15 lbs of cans from us.
Scale operator is slow. Will make you wait in the scale for 20 minutes while he loads. They don’t display the weight when you scale in. Scale is too small so if you have a trailer they have to weigh them separate and do math. Got annoyed when I asked for a receipt. Checked the empty weight against theirs at a cat certified scale and there was a 500 lb difference. Shady stuff happening here.
I don't normally write reviews, but I have been here several times in the last few months and gentleman that runs the Mendota site is great. I highly recommend recycling metal here.
