Manny did a wonderful job helping us tow a friend’s large truck from our residence to their apartment. The truck did not start and was parked in an awkward spot at our home, which made it challenging to pull into position to tow, but Manny was fantastic and patient, also knowledgeable and friendly and did a wonderful job towing the truck. The towing service was also very reasonably priced which was a pleasant surprise. We would recommend this company to others and we would happily use their towing service again.

Early one morning, I experienced a catastrophic brake failure on my F-150 while heading to fish Lake Michigan. I reached out to several towing companies on Yelp, but none were available on a Sunday. Thankfully, Lake County Towing came through when I needed them most. I left my truck key in a secure spot, and they promptly towed it to the nearest Ford dealership.
When they arrived, they found there was no place to drop it off, so they brought it back to their shop for safekeeping. The next morning, we coordinated another tow to Frankfort, IL, where the truck was repaired.
I can’t say enough good things about Angel and his team—they were professional, kind, and incredibly helpful after such a scary experience losing all brakes on I-294 North. They went above and beyond, and thanks to them, I still managed to catch some fish that day.

Lake county tow responded quickly when our car broke down in the middle of the night driving back from Chicago and died in North Chicago, they arrived within 10 mins and towed it to their shop, where Mike looked at it the next day and gave me a quote before doing any work and prices were beyond reasonable once approved my car was ready the next day and back on the road, the best hands down!
I am an Interstate Car Hauler. In the early morning of January 7, 2025 I had to accompany a police officer because I was OverWeight. The officer called Lake County Towing to take my RAM 3500 and my 3 Car Tariler to their Yard. Around 10:30 AM I arrived at this Yard to pick up my Truck and my Trailer where they demanded a payment of $1284.40. Wow, I couldn't believe it. It was only about 8 hours. I think they take advantage of people's situation and that it was far from my State. I think they were abusive with that price. When I asked why that price they told me that they had to take the Truck and the Trailer separately and that they used 3 towing for it which I don't know why. I see in previous reviews that a professional driver went through a similar experience.
had to have my car towed from the middle of the street after an accident hitting a deer. doors and hood were ruined and couldn’t get too many items out of my car before i left. just got my car back and it’s were STOLEN out of my vehicle. stole cash and my aux cord!!!! who does that!!!!! shame on you guys.
Mike was so patient with me and my car. He was incredibly empathetic and I definitely felt like he was one of my uncles. He had my car ready the he said it would be and she's driving so smooth. My axel and ball joint broke off and I just knew it was gonna be an arm and a leg it wasn't!!! Extremely reasonable price from a good man running a great business highly recommend
It’s funny how my review about racism was removed , my car was towed here a few months ago after an accident I was treated extremely poorly by the staff only given a short time to get my property when a co worker told me they were supposed to give me more time , they told my mom she couldn’t come to the car with me and made her wait in the front when the same co worker told me she was able to come back there if she wanted , they also threaten to call police on me when J brung this to their attention I called in to speak with a manager and he was along with the whole thing , if your African American stay way from this company they have no respect at all please don’t remove my review again or I’ll leave it everywhere possible . They also told me if I continue to call them they file a harassment report on me . Mind you I’m a young black male , maybe I intimidated them with my appearance .
This is not only a towing business, but a very reputable auto repair shop. They provide excellent customer service and will get your repairs done right! If you're looking for a honest mechanic, check them out!
My lady requested the car be towed up the street to the house but company worked with the sheriff instead she also went to the place to get the car back but was charged a large amount for a wrecked car. I was sentenced to 63days for a first offence. I called there office asking if I can retrieve my belongings they said yes but when got the there they only keep the car for 43 days then they crush it and throw away the belongings my son's bear was in there and my sister's Ashe's can't believe they are able to take People's things legally and get away with it.
This was the absolute worst towing company. Our family car was in an accident and totaled. It was a sad experience so a few days later we went to clean out the car. The man at the door was extremely rude, would not let us drive our car back to get our stuff. He had the worst attitude and chip on his shoulder and he walked us back to our car through tons of mud and ice and water. Our shoes were coated in mud. Then he said he we have only a few minuterò. Lean out an entire SUV. We had to clean out our car in a short time and try to walk it all back over 50 yards through mud and water and ice - even though we could have easily pulled our car up! Use anyone except them. That man was the worst and should be fired! And when he saw my wife and I struggling to make all the trips - instead of offering a helping hand he said you have one more trip and I am locking up! DONT USE THEM!!!

It was late at night and my car died. No tow company was able to pick me up until I called Angel from lake county towing. He came right away and took me to my destination for a good price. He even waited for my ride to pick me up. Absolutely great service!! Thanks again for your help!!

Lake county towing is very good. They are very professional and they keep their words. Actually I used their service last winter and totally forgot to give a review. After a year I am giving this review, that itself shows how well they treated me. I liked their customer service and how they interact with their customer.
My daughter got a flat at midnight but was able to exit the tollway safely. Her car, however was inoperable. AAA was unable to help us but a call to Lake Co towing yielded quick, professional results. David was able to come withing 15 minutes of our call and promptly loaded my daughter's car onto the flatbed and transported to our repair shop. He was very friendly and professional!
Just had some brake work done on my vehicle through Lake County. These guys got me in right away despite being booked up and were fast and professional. Very straight forward and no upselling. Ron and Mike are great! Highly recommend for any vehicle service you need done and I will be passing their info along to people i know.
I broke down in my GMC Acadia (alternator) on 41 on a busy Sunday afternoon. After going through my insurance I was informed the tow company on their list was going to be two hours before they could get to our location. I called that tow company and they recommended Lake County Towing (that should tell you a ton right there). After my call to Lake County I spoke to Alex (Lake County) and they had a wrecker there within 20 minutes. Awesome service and price!! I was from out of town and they treated my family and I great. Many companies would charge an exorbitant price in this situation as they know you have very options!
In addition their service department fixed up our vehicle with a new alternator so we could continue north on our vacation. Mike (service manager) even pulled his crew off of another job to get us on the road sooner. The price they charged to fix the alternator was less than 1/2 of a chain repair shop located in the same vicinity. A good friend of mine owns a service garage and he looked up the alternator repair billing duration (3 hours) on my vehicle and told me what would be an extremely fair price. Very professional on the phone. The tow truck driver arrived promptly. All I needed was a jump because my car has an issue that the dealer is unable to fix unfortunately. He was able to get my car started without jumping it and did not charge me for it. Great people, great service!
Horrible customer service, came in to pick up my vehicle. The "secretary" was busy eating *stench of doritos), watching a movie and taking care of kids *1 almost smacked me with office door.
Anyway, I was given a quote of $210, they proceeded to cheat me out of another $35 for a clean up... I saw the scene after the crash and there was definitely no clean up done! At least they waived the additional storage fee of $45, since the staff failed to inform me of the 12/noon pick up time. On top of that its $10 to use a debit card!
The lot *side parking is hot mess broken glass everywhere. This place is a joke!
Great customer service! Alex was great! Reasonable price. Another place wanted 125 from Zion to Waukegan and this place charged me 85 (used credit card 75 for cash). Took 30 minutes to get to me.
The only reason they get a star at all is because they tow 24/7 and someone always answers the phone.... My experience with this company was terrible!!!! They towed my car on Saturday night. I called and asked for it to be released, they said I had to wait till Monday. I said ok. I called at 10:53am to double check that they were open because today was a holiday and that I had the necessary things to get the car out because I live over an hour away. They had been closed since the time my vehicle was towed so I wasn't expecting to receive ANY sort of storage fees... When I called back at 12:59 to asked how much it would be, I was informed that a $45 storage fee was added AT NOON!!! The middle of the day! The first day I could have gotten the car out! AND THEN they tell me I could have gotten it out Saturday night for an extra $75... I asked that SATURDAY NIGHT AND WAS TOLD NO! I was very upset by this... Then the lady tells me that it's cheaper this way... SERIOUSLY?! You could have told me when I called the first time, you were going to charge me a storage fee and I would have made plans to come get the vehicle sooner! She says I didn't ask her about fees... oh ok so I didn't make it clear that I was coming to get the vehicle TODAY and making sure I was the right person to do so but no need to tell me how much it cost so you can charge me extra?!?! Oh, and NO IT WASN'T CHEAPER... Having to have my husband drive out there Saturday night to come get me, back home (over an hour away) then BACK OUT THERE TODAY and back hone... When I could have just gotten the vehicle Saturday night and been done!!! Bad and shady business... Dealing in technicalities to get people out of more money!!!
Needed a flat tire change at 10:00 on a Sunday nite. They wanted $95.00 cash, 100.00 if I wanted to use a credit card. They initially said it would be 30 min., then they called back and said it would be 90. Thank goodness I got someone else to help while waiting. I called and cancelled. I think the charge was excessive and so was the wait.
