I needed my bumper replaced and got two estimates. National Shop. Parts = $338.14 Labor = $ 1,107.00 Total = $1445.14 + tax Lake Bluff Auto Body. Parts - $268.28 Labor = $615.10 Total = $883.38 = tax The Chain/national shop charged more for labor and included parts that did not need to be replaced. Customer service and quality of work at Lake Bluff Body Shop is flawless. They even washed and cleaned the inside of my car. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend Lake Bluff Auto Body to anyone who is sick of being hosed by big box chains. really nice autobody shop! They have done a fabulous job on my Toyota Sienna 2015. They put all new parts, painted exactly the same white color and shade, painted so nice, really professional done. Not like Mexicans bodyshops. You can trust them. The owner Paul is very nice person. I highly recommend this place for any bodyshop repairs. I recently had my car serviced at Lake Bluff Auto Body and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and care. Short and sweet story, I took my 2013 Mustang GT here to get her looking perfect, as she had cosmetic issues from front to rear. After putting what I can only imagine was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the repairs, she looks absolutely perfect. Long detailed story on everything Lake Bluff Auto Body did to get my car looking perfect. 1. The biggest reason I had taken my car into the shop was for a door ding I had been gifted with over 2 years ago, when I was stationed in Mayport Florida. Because of where the ding was located, on the body line right in front of the driver side door handle, the rear quarter panel needed to be painted as well as the door to properly blend the paint. The issues arrived when the technicians discovered 4 layers of bondo under the rear quarter panels paint, as well as a hole and massive gash in the quarter panel, that was caused by a previous shop doing a crappy job on previous repairs that I was unaware of for the car. After discovering this damage, and talking it over with Ben (And my wife), we decided to greenlight replacing the rear quarter panel with a new one. Now after all the work has been PROPERLY done, you wouldn't ever know what this cars been through. 2. The car was delivered to me (Bought from Carvana) with a front license plate holder. I have the car registered in a state that doesn't require front license plates, so I found it to be an eyesore on the car. So I removed the plate holder one day, only to discover an absolute mess under it. There were holes where the screws were drilled to hold the plate holder, mismatched paint, and flaking paint where the holder was located. There was also flaking paint around the upper grill area, indicating previous work being done to it. After talking it over again with Ben and my wife, it was decided to replace the front bumper with a new one that the shop prepped, painted, and installed there. 3. On the rear of the car there is a black plastic piece attached to the trunk that had serious paint fading and flaking from over the years being exposed to the sun. It was another eyesore to me, especially because I love this car and how it looks, so I had them get that repaired for me as well. Since this part isn't produced by Ford anymore sadly, they sent the part to a local specialist who has worked on Mustangs before, and she went ahead and repainted the piece to the beautiful black that it was when the car was new, and I couldn't be happier with it. Lake Bluff Auto Body also cleaned up my rear bumper of all the scratches that had magically appeared there over time as well, giving it a show car worthy rear end. 4. Ford used aluminum hoods on these Mustangs, and if you know anything about aluminum, it doesn't like to be touched by any other kind of metal. Well the hood had damage on the paint, both at the front of it, and even worse at the rear. The damage looked like the paint was bubbling up, and this is due to the aluminum being embedded with other metal compounds. This causes the aluminum to degrade over time, and start rejecting paint, which is what was happening to my hood. There is no true fix for this, as once it's embedded it is always going to be embedded (I've done enough preservation on a Navy ship to know this.). So once again, we decided the best course of action to make the car look perfect was to replace the hood with a new one, that they prepped, painted, and installed all at their shop. They even painted the hood's grills to make sure they matched 100%. 5. On top of all the work they had done already, they noticed some bad paint work on the driver side front fender. They said they could fix it, so I said go for it. They fixed it and got it to blend perfectly with the hood. Did I mention they did the same for the passenger side, because they did and it looks amazing! In the end there was a lot, and I mean a LOT, of work done to my car, and they did all of this within 2 1/2 weeks! I couldn't be happier with how the car turned out. 10/10 would strongly recommend bringing your cars here!

I was extremely pleased with my recent repair at Lake Bluff Auto Body. Ben guided me through the entire process of replacing my front bumper. Ben was knowledgeable - offering insight on OEM vs aftermarket parts, payment options, including all aspects of the insurance and out-of pocket pros and cons, and the details of the repair process. Ben always delivered on his promises; he called when he said he would, delivered the car on the day he said it would be done, and was more than willing to answer all my questions. We have 3 cars in our family, and I will undoubtedly use Lake Bluff Auto Body for any repairs we might need in the future. I highly recommend them!

I had an amazing experience with Lake Bluff Auto Body! They truly understand what great customer service means. They walked me through everything—from insurance details to repair options and costs—and made a stressful situation easy to manage. Even though they were out of network, they handled most of the insurance work and I didn’t pay a penny more than my deductible. They even helped out with a buffing job on another car at no extra charge. On top of all that, they finished the repairs two days earlier than expected. Highly recommend!

On Mother’s Day weekend I had the unfortunate luck of being victim to a Rear End collision. I had no prior knowledge of Lake Bluff auto or their services but based on past reviews I decided to take my SUV in for repairs. After picking up my vehicle I can honestly say I’m 100% satisfied. Ben & Paul both treated me with the upmost respect and held professionalism all the way through the repair process. I also have to commend the both of them for being attentive to my phone calls & emails. If you want the job done right, I definitely recommend going here for any auto body repairs.

Fantastic shop. I hit a deer a while back in my BMW and took it here for repairs. Replaced the headlight, front bumper, and hood. Terrific paint job, panel gapping is perfect. Very good customer service, the shop was very good at communication and the work got done pretty quickly. Definitely recommend if you need body work done.

I was in a car accident in October, and was looking for a body shop to help me repair my car. It had a lot of damage, and I was worried it was going to be a long time to repair everything. I called this place, and Paul made everything simple and easy from the drop-off to the pick-up. My car now looks like it was just driven off the lot, and I couldn't be happier with it. Excellent customer service, they cleaned my car on the inside as well which I greatly appreciate. If I have any future issues, I will be coming back here.

My car was sent here for warranty fixes due to factory defects. Two paint chips, and to realign a panel to prevent paint chips from occurring again. After a week and a half I was informed my car was ready. The paint chips had not been touched at all. I just have to trust them that the panel fitment was fixed. I brought the car back to the shop and responsibility was dodged by the owner himself. When I insisted something be done about the paint chips, the owner begrudgingly took my key to fix it. The result was worse than what I could have done myself at home. No concern was shared by the owner and the only solution was to leave the car there for an undetermined time to have the whole panel repainted. The chip should have just been lightly sanded smooth and touched up while the panel was off. In person it doesn’t even look like the color matches. Awful.

My 2008 Lexus was rear ended and I was looking for a place for repair. I first took my car to one suggested by the insurance company. Their fix was to plastic weld the bumper back together. This to me seem like a band aid fix rather then a proper repair. I then started looking at other repair shops close to where a work and I came across Lake Bluff Auto Body. My first interaction was with Mark who did a great job explaining to me how the bumper would be replaced rather than welded as well as how they would go about fixing the dent in the quarter panel. He was very knowledgeable. I then dropped off my car a week later with Paul (the owner), he then took the time to go over again what approach they were going to take to fix my car and well as answering any and all questions I had. Paul too showed he was very knowledgeable when it comes to cars and car repair. Very much appreciated the extra time he took explaining the process as well as his excellent customer care. Oh and the car....they did a great job! Looks as good as new! Highly recommend! Thanks Mark and Paul!!

Paul and his team are fantastic! They found a replacement door for my 16-year old car that looks better than the original door, replaced my front fender and mirror and got it all done in a few days. They helped me find an affordable rental car as well. Honest, professional and excellent team, I highly recommend them!

I had to take my car in because the bumper had been hit. Given that it is a brand new car, Paul made sure to take an approach that would help maintain its value when proposing repairs. Him and Mark also helped set up and return the rental I needed while they worked on my car, which took away one stressor in the whole process. These guys are direct, look for the best way to take care of your car, and do wonderful work. If I ever find myself needing to do body work in the future, I will immediately bring my car to them.

Paul (the owner) and the team have always been professional, timely, and flexible and they've always offered competitive prices.
