Awesome and friendly

Quoted .08-.10 cents per pound for light ballasts, it's also pretty standard on line at that price. They tried handing me .01 per pound. Beware!

Quick and easy

Drove in and immediately got a flat tire, found 3 nails in my tire. Don't drive in to their customer entry.

Worst place ever, they robber me in 4500 lbs of scrap, gave me a penny a pound where everyone else was 3 to 5 at the current rate and I've been going there 10 years. Called the manager and tried to tell me I got paid top dollar as I should have gotten nothing. Never going there again

Thanks to the entire staff over at elgin Recycling. Clean yard, great prices paid on all scrap. The drivers call to let me know they're on the way. And last but not least my account representative Jill, always checking in, Making sure all is well.

Got 40 cents a pound on over a thousand pounds. Waste of time ride people and cheap i wouldn't recommend going here to anyone.

All Scrappers stay away from this place or any of the Elgin recycling place these are robbers they quoted me $0.30 a pound over the phone for aluminum when I get there tell me $0.04 a pound because aluminum has oil and dirt on it. I spoke to someone called Mark and their headquarters and he said that he's apologetic and he will have someone take care of it I get back there still $0.04 a pound I took same aluminum to another scrap yard not far from there and I got $0.35 a pound. Seriously stay away from these places they will rob you.
