Ok. So this Dude is straight Forward. Honest to the T. He's old school With new school understanding. This is his own shop. It's not some big box business mechanic shop. Which I like that. Cause you're actually communicating with a person. Not some Corporate teleprompter. Shawn knows what he's doing, And he makes you aware of what he's doing.
He's not trying to upsell you on anything. He'll tell you What needs to be done.
If he finds alternative problems. He's gonna wait until you say yay or nay. He's not gonna just start putting crap on your vehicle without your go ahead. He's a straight up honest dude. And as long as I have to live in Illinois he's my go to guy. Truth is I wish he franchised, and trained people In his character. When you get to his shop you might be surprised to see some old school tow truck rusted up. And weathered looking signs. But that's just a sign of character of somebody that works hard in the shop And has appreciation Of history.
Hey you can take your car anywhere but in my opinion, If you're an honest person go to an honest place. This place won't lead you wrong. And prices are more than fair.
My coolant tank busted on an 8 hr trip from Iowa to Illinois, 7 hours into my trip. Broke down in Mazon. It was the end of the workday for most. They took my car in immediately, and repaired the issue on the spot after normal work hours. I woud have been stranded in my small car with my dog if they were not there still or worse, if there was not a mechanic at all in such a small town. I am grateful! Thank you guys for your help!
Shawn the owner at mazon auto works is a really great guy. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I had something going on he always took the time to help me out. I will definitely be going back there for all my work that I need done. I also would definitely recommend to others. Thanks Shawn.
Shawn sets the standard for what great service looks like. Came in broke down unexpectedly from traveling from out of town without notice and he had parts in less than an hour got me in immediately and the job done fast and done right thanks Shawn
U r very greedy man. Charging someone 40 dollars to change tire. During freezing weather. Also going plug tire for 40. That very sad that u couldnt just help w out being greedy. Didn't want it free but that sad. .
Shawn is a good dude. Was stranded with a dead battery at 7 AM a block away from his shop. He drove over to give me a jump so I could drive to his shop, had a new battery delivered fairly quickly, and installed it with no labor cost. Honest and fair.
The owner has gone out of his way multiple times to help me. He is an old school kind of guy with integrity, skill, and pride in what he does. Could not recommend more. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Life saver!!! Stranded with 2 flats.... owner found us 2 replacement tires and drove to Morris to pick them up, took them back to his shop and changed, came back and reinstalled. If you need quick and polite service, check this auto shop out. We are grateful.
