Oil change took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Told me lock key for my tires didn't work although last time I had an oul change, they said they did a tire rotation. This key was purchased by Jaguar after I was told by pepboys the 1st time I came for a oil change. So I am assuming they charged me for a rotation the last time and not do the job since the lock key is the same one from the last time I was here. The manager was rude and disrespectful to me telling me to go to the dealership for a correct lock key. He dismissed me when I told him this is from the dealership. I paid 250 dollars for it. It is the same lock key that was presented to them on the previous oil change. They didn't say anything and charged me for the tire rotation. Very shady. Managers name was Ike. I will not be coming back.
I had a tire I bought at a different Pep Boys that was too far away for me to reasonably return within a day since I work during the week. The system seemed to not want to accept the return, but the manager Ike tried everything he could and eventually contacted IT to get the return accepted. He went above and beyond my expectations and did his best to help. The customer service here is by far the best I've seen from an auto shop.
Big fail since beginning.we had a return visit to fix some issue with the blower on cooling system. First the Advisor was not ready for us. We returned after the part supposed to be purchased. Then he gave us the new appraisal that was not in line with the original one. Just the check in took over an hour.
Then we got the call that they did not have the needed part and have to buy it form the dealer store and cost went up add $110.
Then when time of pick up came they called that they have lost the freon and it's got to be recharged of course on my expense.
They not supposed to touch AC, they did not price it as needed service, they recharged ot previously and I paid for it. Now they wanted me to pay one more time for their mistake.
Very incompetent crew, lack of reluctance.
I took the car as is and won't used those guys ever again.
I recharged the coolant on my own.
I made an appointment at a location that recently closed. I saw a note on the door & one of the locations to go to was Naperville. I went there & I got in. My right rear passenger side tire is repaired. Thanks Pep Boys!
I took my car in for a Lyft inspection. The guy there acted as if he was doing me some favor when in actuality I was paying for the service. When he was finished he ring me up and gave me the form. When I asked if he could store stamp it, he said he didn't have a stamp. I know this isn't true because I had another Lyft inspection there 3 weeks ago and they put a store stamp on it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't rejected by Lyft. I just thought he was very rude and treated me like I was an idiot.
Went in for an alignment on my pickup after putting a leveling kit, newvstruts, tires, and wheels. 2hours later said each side was equal but not at factory specs. Then the said they thought it was a tire pull. They rotated the front tires and it still pulled to the right and they told me to come back Saturday or Sunday, they would have a mote experienced person then. They broke the socket for my lig nuts, and noticed on the way home the steering wheel was not aligned. After making they appointment for today, they called and told Mr that they did not want to do the alignment because of the leveling kit... I will never return to Pep Boys...
I came to this place for my lifetime free tire alignment, and they told me that the suspension control arms and ball joints on both sides were broken. I trusted them and agreed to the replacement.
However, after the repair, my car started making a noise it never made before. I brought it back, and now they’re saying the shocks are bad and causing the noise.
The truth is, my car was never making any noise before they replaced the control arms. It only started after their work. I feel like they’re just trying to upsell unnecessary repairs and make customers spend more money.
Please be careful—don’t go to this place. They might end up messing up your car and pushing more repairs you don’t need.
Uber car inspection was quick in 20 minutes. My car was new without problem. But the price also not expensive which is has to be not expensive. Cuz its quick inspection.
I found a nail in my tire and I called shortly before they closed and Abe and Andy were AMAZING!! They were SO kind and let me come in and were quick to work. So truly appreciate the kindness they showed me and my daughter tonight, thank you!!!
Went in and got a reasonably priced oil change done. Abe provided great customer service and made me aware they price match on tires. Helpful info since I will need to replace my tires soon.
I had a nail in my tire and didn't notice it until around 6 pm on Saturday. Although they didn't have a replacement tire and the nail was in a place that they couldn't patch, Abe and his team were SO kind. They put my spare on and didn't charge me anything. Would go back again to get other services!
I moved to the area late last year with no support systems (and, let’s be real, no knowledge of cars whatsoever.) I was driving down Ogden yesterday when my tire popped and went completely flat. Going into a complete panic, I went to the first place I could, and I’m so thankful that it was here. Manny immediately took me in, got my tire changed for a reasonable price, and was incredibly kind the whole time. I would recommend his team to anyone.

I came in less than an hour before closing for a tire Replacement. I was politely greeted with a smile by Ibrahim who not only took care of the problem, but explained thoroughly why i needed that tire and everything i needed to do to prevent it from happening again. Got my screw in my tire and it couldn't be patched.. They were sup er friendly and professional. They originally installed my 4 Cooper tires. I recommend them hands down when youre ready to buy new!! Fast service which hard to come by.
I called in last minute today desperately needing two new tires installed, fully prepared to be turned away due to how close it was to closing time. To my surprise and appreciation i was told to come on in. Abe and Alexis both provided excellent customer service and professionalism. I highly recommend this Pep boys location.
I went in for an oil change and then paid extra for a cabin filter replacement. The guy showed me the dirty filter, which had leaves in it, so I said go ahead. On the way home I noticed a noise coming from fan. I returned to Pep and said they'd possibly done something wrong. The guy said they'd check. Half hour later he tells me that the blower motor had to replaced and quoted $450. I said I'm going for a second opinion, mostly because I believed that they had done something wrong. He wanted to charge me $75 just for diagnosing the "problem" and I said I'm not paying.....and I don't.
I get another opinion from somewhere else and the person says to me that Pep didn't replace the filter carefully and leaves/debris got into the ductwork and were causing the noise. He said the blower wasn't faulty at all. Anyway he cleans everything out and the blower works perfectly, just as it did before the Pep visit.
On top of all this aggravation and wasted time that I got from Pep, the new person doesn't charge me anything as he said it was a 10 minute job!!

The woman on the phone was polite and professional. But when I arrived and followed her instruction to pull up to dock 1, I was met by an older man with a cigarette hanging from his mouth who aggressively stormed up to my car, yelling at me to back out. There were no signs or barriers saying not to pull in, I followed what I was told. I calmly said “my bad,” but his disrespectful tone and hostile approach were way out of line. If this is how customers are treated over a simple misunderstanding caused by unclear directions, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
This place is amazing!!! I have a fleet vehicle that I needed a lot of work done. I need brakes and rotors, 4 new tires, a ball joint replaced, oil changed. They communicated with me on the entire process and my vehicle was done the same day!!!! I highly recommend this location. Great work!!!

I came to this service to get an oil change and wheel balancing. They told me it would be ready in two hours, and they would call me. However, I waited until closing time, and no one called. I had to call them myself. When I arrived, my car was still on the lift, but fine, no big deal. They told me everything was “just fine.”
After the wheel balancing was done, I had to drive 150 miles the next day. When I got home, I noticed that one of my wheels was rubbing against something. And the following day, I had to drive another 150 miles with this issue.
I returned to them and told them I basically had three wheels instead of four. The manager who greeted me showed no sympathy at all and was outright rude to me. On top of that, they lost my wheel center cap.
This is absolutely terrible service. Avoid this place at all costs. I do not recommend it.
I recently went in for an oil change and expected the experience to be like every other place I’ve gone to. I was waiting for them to tell me all of the things I needed to replace or try to upsell me on what I was there for. But it never happened. At one point I finally asked about if I needed a filter or anything and they said “you can replace it but it’s not time, you’d be wasting your money.” I was so pleasantly surprised! I feel like I’ve found my new place where I can trust them to service my car without trying to leave me for broke.

The whole team went above and beyond to ensure the right parts were used and when the initial repair didn’t fix the issue, they worked extra hard to re-diagnose and fix the issue. This has been my second time visiting this particular Pep Boys. Both times I have had very positive experiences. Manager Anthony has been excellent and honest in his advice on how to fix my car for both brakes and new tires. I was never upsold or told I needed some other mystery repair that I didn't come in for. I got exactly what I asked for and he explained the pros and cons of certain products without just recommending the most expensive option. I really appreciate this, and it makes going to the mechanic less terrifying since other places you can go in for an oil change and they tell you you need a new engine! i will definitely return and recommend this location to family and friends.
Came in to get my Pacifica serviced and they did a great job. It was almost closing time and they still managed to get me in and out. These guys seem to actually care about people rather than just money. I will always bring my car here. Anthony the manager always goes the extra mile to help out. Never seen a manager who is so involved in every aspect of the service

The team was so professional that I drove from Indiana to Naperville to get my car serviced. Surpassing at least a dozen other locations. This location is pretty big, but the parking lot needs some love. It is not ideal for low riding cars to drive through.
The service was pretty good, but we didn't end up getting anything done there. The store itself is pretty neat and organized. Would come back, but I cannot recommend their service center since we didn't get anything done. Overall, I have used PepBoys several times before and I would recommend their company for good work at a decent price.
