I was at store # 03957 on 1767 west Ogden Ave. 151 with Bill & Mark and they were very nice and helpful because I needed help with installing my new light bulbs and they were able to help install my new light bulbs. Thank you so much Bill & Mark!
Had to go to another Advance Auto just to pick up a water pump gasket... this is one item that need to be kept on the shelf at least two or three... if you don't want people to shop online, you guys need to step up your inventory.
These guys are great. Went in for windshield wipers and they quickly gave me the various options without pressuring me to take the highest cost option. Then they came out to the lot and put them on my car (as I had tried before and it was just too complicated for me with this model car). I’ll go back to them for anything I need with this car!
I stopped in today at the store on Ogden in Naperville for some assistance with a license plate light issue. Bill, wearing a tag that said General Manager, went absolutely out of his way and beyond the call of duty to assist me. I'm disabled, I know next to nothing about cars, and was in a bind. Bill was friendly, knew what he was talking about, incredibly helpful, and went out of his way to make sure I was set to go. I had come directly from another parts store (not Advance) in the area where I was treated horribly, and Bill more than made up for that with how good I felt leaving the store with my issue resolved to my satisfaction. When I need parts assistance again, I am 1000% going back to this store and I recommend anyone else do the same.
My "simple brake pad change" turned into multiple trips to this lovely location for a whole new passenger caliber and brake bleed. Thanks to the young men working, it was a fun and easy experience. Buy your car parts here and not on Amazon.
I walk into an empty store with three employees working. Not one employee attempted to greet me or offer to help me search for the item I needed to buy(wiper replacement)
I went in to pick up an online order. The young man who assisted me brought the parts to my vehicle. I asked him if those were the correct parts because all the boxes looked the same. He replied: Yeah, they should be. I told him I needed to be sure because I had to drive a long way to my mechanic. He went back inside & checked in the system what matched my receipt & sent me on my way. Just for me to arrive to my mechanic(over an hour away) & my mechanic opened the boxes to discover I was given old, used rotors in a box that was taped as if they were new. I had to call the guy & tell him about the problem & I had to drive to another advance (15 minutes away, delaying my repairs being done)to swap out the old rotors for the new ones I purchased for online pickup. This location can use better customer service, GREET EVERY CUSTOMER, not look & act as if the customer is a problem for them & oh yeah, GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE NEW, CORRECT PARTS THEY PAY FOR! Not to mention another occasion I called this location to check for a part over the phone(which they had in stock) so I explained to the guy that I had a TRANSACTION # from another store to swap out that part for the warranty. I told him I would send my son to pick up the part. When my son got to the store, Chris(the manager)& the guy who I spoke to over the phone wouldn’t give my son the parts. Gave my son a hard time & didnt use the transaction # from the store I purchased the parts from. There’s a very unwelcoming spirit I get at this location whenever I shop here. I only go here because it’s closer to me & they were the only store who had parts for my online purchase at this time. After all this, I probably would never come back. I think this would make them happy too. They don’t like servicing me anyway. That’s how they make me feel at this location.
I would like to commend the store manager, Mike,at the east Ogden avenue store for his excellent service, going above and beyond for my problem tonight. First of all, it was raining and second of all, I had no windshield wipers. I had purchased a set of wipers from Advance several days ago, but couldn't figure out how to install them. Tonight, I was doing my part time gig delivering pizzas and, of course, it started to rain. I turned my wipers on and all that came up was the arm for the wiper on the driver's side. I forgot I had removed the original wiper and when I couldn't get the new one on, I said a few curse words and left it as is. So tonight, Valentines Day, on one of the busiest nights for pizzas, it started to rain.I panicked when my wipers didn't work and drove about 5 miles with no wipers. It was hairy and scary. I was able to make it to Advance and went into the store. Fortunately, Mike was working. I apologized because of the weather and asked him if he could help. Without batting an eye, he said sure and came out with me into the rain. He expertly attached the wiper, and said "do you have the wiper for the other side" and proceeded to attach that one even though it was still raining. THAT, my friends, is SERVICE. I hope Mike is rewarded by the company for his distinguished service.
Super nice service. The young man not only helped me pick the right wiper blades for my 18 year old car, he also very kindly put them on for me. I know lots of auto places install wipers for you, but this young man (sorry, I don't recall his name) went out of his way to be polite and helpful.
Staff was very helpful to me in deciding which wiper blades were best for my vehicle. They also installed the ones I chose! Perfect example of genuine customer care :)
It was a great experience my man Dustin hooked me up! Telling me about the different tools for checking air pressure in my tires he help me solve my problem.
I just stopped at Advance Auto parts to pick up new wiper blades. The cashier had short gray hair and glasses and was very respectful, friendly, and helpful. The worker was even nice enough to put on my wiper blades onto my car! Amazing work ethics!
Justin did a great job helping me to select wiper blades. I know it sounds simple but for us mechanically challenged it isn't . I'm glad I stopped here and spoke with him and I will be returning again
They typically have the best discounts as long as you buy online - you can have parts shipped out pick up in store. If you're a DIYer, the rewards program is also worth it. Staff knowledge is typical hit or miss, so be sure to do your own research.
The 1767 w Ogden store seems to have more parts available in store than the others, not sure why...
I love this place. Everyone is always so friendly. I went in today with some annoying issues about my rims and tires and Edgar was more than patient with me. He never got annoyed with me, which I was technically annoying myself lol, but he stayed patient and was a true professional. Thanks Edgar!
I had mixed experience here. While the staff was very friendly and helped me find the wiper blades I needed, they gave me one that was correct and one with the wrong adapter. Thus, I had to return to the store to exchange it, which they did although I didn't have my receipt with me. Thus, while I was annoyed that I had to waste more time, they did fix the issue without questions. Otherwise, the store is well organized with a good variety of merchandiser.
I go to advance auto parts all around the country. Illinois, Indiana, etc. I went in for a bad battery replacement for my sons ATV that kept coming from a bad batch from the manufacture. Chris graham at the store took great care of me and was probably one of the most helpful employees of this company I have ever came across. I will be 101% more likely to shop this company than others since this guy was professional and very friendly.
I was visiting Naperville last weekend and had some car trouble on Sunday. Thinking it was the battery, I went to this Advanced Auto Parts to get the free battery test. The gentleman at the register came out in the rain to test my battery. Although it was clear that my battery was bad, he said that he was unable to determine if it was just the battery or if it was caused by my alternator. He did not want to sell me a new battery if there could be a problem with the alternator as well, so he jumped the battery to get the car started again and encouraged me to go down the road to a car repair shop that could do a more thorough check. I really appreciated his honesty and assistance. I would definitely recommend this shop.
Employees are very friendly, and have a wide knowledge on vehicles. Prices on parts are fair, and typically a quick in and out with everything you need. Seems like a wonderful place to work, because of the friendly/funny staff.

Staff is very friendly and cooperative. They helped us selecting good product as per our budget n convenience. Person helping us was didn't forced or try to talk us into buying high priced product. She told us plus and minus points of all products and she let us decide what we want
Went to get oil and filter. Had issues with items being in stock, coupons in the flyer, and overall being helped or even greeted.
The store front is small and feels cramped. Most of the store must be warehousing parts.
The Advance Auto on east Ogden is more spacious and had what I needed at the price I saw advertised.
