Robert, Angel, and team were fantastic to work with. I was in Naperville from out of town when my car had a sudden zero oil pressure failure. Robert and team took in my car and did some of the best troubleshooting and documentation you could ask for. They stayed in constant communication with me, talking through each step. My car had a very rare failure, but this team was able to diagnose accurately and make a sound repair. You will probably find cheaper shops, but don’t waste your time. Your money is very well spent here and I couldn’t recommend them to enough people!
It is rare to find a mechanic that breaks all the stereotypes and dare I say goes so far to become a partner in the care and maintenance of your vehicle. I've been taking my cars to Naper Auto Works for over 15 years.
Today, I'm writing a review because I want to share a recent story of how the team at Naper Auto Works really stepped up and worked tirelessly to solve a tricky issue with my car. They truly went above and beyond the typical good care and service on this one.
I originally brought in the Jeep because the engine light came on with an oil pressure sensor fault. The team serviced it and addressed what was diagnosed as the oil pleasure sensor.
However, a day or two after the repair the light came back on. When I brought it back in for them to look at, the light had reset and wouldn't come on. Sometimes the problem seems to go away when you bring the car to the mechanic. But it never went away.
Any other mechanic would just let us go on our way, but Robert reached out and give me some direction on keeping a log of what I was doing when the engine light came on, and when it cleared.
Independently he researched possible causes to the intermittent issues I was having. After sharing my experiences, he arranged for me to bring the Jeep back in and the team worked on it for a couple day.
Conclusion: the oil pump also needed to be replaced. Nobody goes the extra mile anymore. Naperville Auto Works stood behind their commitment to resolve the original issue and didn't charge for all the extra time and effort to fix the problem - completely. I am proud to be a customer and have Naper Autoworks as a partner in the service and maintenance of my vehicles.
And of course, a very special thanks to Robert for your thoroughness and tenacity to get to the bottom of issue.

We had a great experience with Trevor and Naper Auto Works. They have been our go-to mechanic for a decade now. They were incredibly thorough with their inspection and took the time to explain everything clearly, and even followed up with us days later. There was a small misunderstanding with our service, but they went above and beyond to make it right, fixing the issue at no extra cost and even giving us a couple of free tires as a gesture of goodwill. Highly recommend!
In today's world with all the crap going on - rising tariffs, supply chain and politically created issues - it's very difficult to know what things should or will cost. Hence, it's even more important than ever to do business with honest businesses and business people.
I had my vehicle serviced today at Naper Auto Works; standard maintenance stuff. When I got the bill it appeared high to me but in light of the aforementioned issues I just assumed things had gotten more expensive so I paid the bill and left. Cudos to Robert at Naper Auto Works. He apparently felt similiarly. A few minutes after I left he called to let me know he re-reviewed my bill and determined there was an error and wanted my credit card number to process a credit. Realistically if he had not done that I would have never been the wiser and would have over paid. So, in addition to the great work Naper Auto Works does, I highly recommend them because they are honest business people and take care of their customers.

These guys always do you right! I was just heading out on a road trip and I got a screw in my tire. They took me right in, fixed me up and I was back on the road in 20 minutes. Said this was pretty standard operational procedure for tired plugs.
Trevor was great to deal with, coordinated tow truck, got us in for evaluation of issue the same day, called to discuss, emailed specific details and quote which made it easy to make a decision. After test drive found another issue and quickly completed that repair at a competitive price. To top it off their repairs come with a nationwide two year warranty! I recommend Naper Auto Works as a great repair shop to go to.
I'm so glad to have these folks to handle my audio mechanic needs. They're quick, do excellent work, and will even give me rides to and from my home while they're working on my vehicle. Was charged $160 by them just for a diagnosis of the issue (30 minutes of driving the car around). Also was told by manager he would send a detailed breakdown of the $4500 repairs he recommended but he never followed through. Starting to lose trust in this small business I have been coming to for years.
Trevor took care of everything for me. He also found out my battery was now 6 years old and replaced it immediately. I’m sure he saved us from having a dead battery coming up soon in this cold. This was my first time going to Naper Auto Works. I needed them to check my brakes. I spoke with Angel over the phone and Trevor when I got there. These guys were awesome! Angel and his staff did a thorough job inspecting my brakes. I was pleased how well they handled my concerns. Very respectful and helpful to meet my need(s), of service. They are close by me and I plan on going to them for future services. Angel truly lives up to his name. (An angel)

Was quoted $800 by another shop to replace two headlight bulbs. Naper Auto Works quoted me about half and when the job was finished it was about a quarter of what they had initially quoted. Most places would just take the money and run however, they showed integrity and only charged what they had to. Excellent service, will be using them for any car issues going forward.
I had my back breaks fixed beginning of this year somewhere else, and took my car here for new front breaks and they quoted me 1200 for my front and back rotors and break pads. A little over $600 for front and a little over $600 for the back. I took my car in somewhere else. They called me saying the back breaks are PERFECT, and they only charged me $350 for my front breaks. So definitely will never be brining my car back here. I went to Naperville Auto Service Center on reflection drive, for my $350 breaks
You’d be hard pressed to find a no nonsense, straightforward, and genuinely caring staff that are willing to troubleshoot, diagnose, and give you a solution straight away. I called from out of state for my brother’s headlight for his 20 year old Acura, and he was back on the road the same week for our upcoming road trip.
Not only did they help diagnose his issue, they had the part ordered and helped resolve his issue the following day, at literally less than a third of the price quoted from the service dealership.
Simply put, Naper Auto Works is the ONLY alternative to the traditional dealership service experience, which by most accounts, is terrible, time consuming, and offensively expensive.
Ditch the service advisors and save yourself the headache, and way more cash so you can spend more time driving your car rather than fixing it.
Don’t second guess it: you’re in good hands here.
Lost opportunity - I came in to review naper Auto works for my daughter who has an older car with 265,000 miles. As a prospective client I would have thought they would have explained their process to me. That they produce a report and send it to your phone. They didn't even ask what oil I needed in my car which should of been 5w-30 as the car is older. If they would have explained their service then maybe I'd be a more willing to spend more money with them as most of their reviews are positive. Customer service is key and I did not get customer service.
In all of my experiences with Naper Auto Works, they are very honest and knowledgeable. The last time, they saved me several thousands when I brought my car for a 2nd opinion of an issue. Very helpful, trustworthy and friendly. I will continue to bring my vehicle here and absolutely recommend them.
I have had several mechanics over the years with a variety of experiences. However, Naperville Auto has been the best. Their people are friendly, will answer any questions including in my case some clueless ones, and provide me with top service at a fair price. I've now been with them for several years and have two very old cars and they have enabled me to avoid buying a new car prematurely and saved me money in the process.
Another shop had just done a dangerously bad brake job - forgetting to reattach a whole caliper assembly, which caused the brakes to fail completely while my pregnant wife was driving. We limped into Naper Auto Works and they fixed everything, but more importantly they worked directly with the other shop to get paid and didn't charge us anything. We've continued to go back and they have always been up-front, honest and communicative, and I've never had any concerns with the quality of their work. Glad we found them!
Naper auto works were so helpful! They explained everything throughly, their texting function is convenient, and they sent everything that was wrong with my vehicle plus an estimate via text. Great customer service, I’ll definitely be returning with future repairs!
Great diagnostics report! I took my 1999 Jeep grand Cherokee to Naper Auto to have a priority list of items that needed to be urgently fixed. They were very professional and provided me a detailed diagnostic report prioritizing items for me. It was a great help so I knew the list of items that were a safety issues that needed to be fixed right away.
They also knew that I had received some repairs from another auto shop as I keep a binder of my past work orders.
This is what really set this place apart from others. They suggested that I double check with the other auto shop if there were any under warranty to save me money.
It was definitely worth my time to take my Jeep to Naper Auto. The diagnostics report alone was exceptional and allowed me to easily see certain repairs that needed to be done.

The people at Naper Auto Works were professional and service oriented. I brought my car in to diagnose a problem. They determined it was the alternator and fixed for me.
While they were at it, they fixed my battery post, which was loose. They also found an oil leak that had haunted me for years - they were able to fix for a very reasonable price.
They went over an above the service that I expected. I will recommend to others!
The team at Naper auto has always impressed us. Their communication is excellent - phone, text, e-mail. Their process of taking pictures of issues to help us understand and providing well detailed commentary of the issues is excellent. On this visit, they even managed to squeeze us in earlier than initially anticipated. If you've had a bad experience with an auto shop (I certainly have), just know that Naper Auto is the exact opposite.
This place is the real deal. Excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who are able and willing to explain every service they recommend to you. They do a thorough multi-point inspection on every vehicle that comes in, and I've brought my Pilot into them twice now! Had to turn down some repairs for the time being, and they totally understood--I do plan on coming back for those in the near future. Happy I started coming here and will be a returning customer!!
We started going to Naper Auto Works a few months ago after an unpleasant experience with a car dealership and used car purchase issues. Everyone we have talked with at Naper Auto Works has been a pleasure to work with and takes time to explain repairs needed. They do not sales pressure you to do all with them immediately (we can handle most light bulb changes). We feel confident in their mechanic expertise in making sure our cars are running well and safely. Love the online scheduling - makes it easy to plan appointments!
I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone at Naper Auto Works. They are very diligent, do a great job communicating about issues with your car, and have been exceptionally fair on pricing. I trust them with all of our auto service needs.
I found Naper Auto Works on google maps and read great reviews so I decided to call. Jim was so helpful and even told me to bring car so they could tell me if my car needed the oil changed or not. The service was amazing! Not only did they change the oil on a Friday close to closing time but were also concerned with the damage my car had with a recent accident. There were wires hanging and were rubbing on the tire. I thought it was amazing on their part that they took those wires and tied them away from the tire so they would not get exposed and mess us the electrical system. I explained that I have the repair work already scheduled with a different shop. The fact that they did this for me at no additional cost, really won me over. I will definitely be back to have them work on my car again and would highly recommend them. The service is professional, quick, and they really care about customers! They even have a free shuttle service to one’s job if the car will need to be dropped off.
