I got a tow from somewhere that was 14miles. Before I used them and got a quote for 150 over the phone and then when the guy came and I told him the quote he said he wasn't sure if that's what it was going to be. When he got to my house he charged me for 24miles and it was 250 dollars. I said it wasn't 24 miles it was 14 which way did u take and he said rt 6 n I said that's the same way I went n it's 14 miles. I pulled it up on my GPS n he said oh well mine said 24miles. I called the office and I was told someone will get back to me in 20min. 2 hrs go by I call again n the guy said he didn't get a chance to look but if I was over charged he will reimburse me n he will call me back. That was on a Friday. I waited til Monday and heard from no one again. So I call again and again I was told someone will call back and never did. This was last week. And here itvis Tuesday the following week n I am still yet to here from anyone. I was overcharged. Smh. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone again. Smh. Not professional at all. Smh. After reading all of these reviews I see they are scammers. I think we all need to report to the Better Business Burero
I was a little skeptical first but the owner and workers were fair, cost conscience, and fulfilled everything as promised. I’m definitely keeping this place in my contacts. Most places don’t do good business anymore, but mighty does. Our truck broke down while heading to California. We were using this load to attend our son’s wedding. Mighty’s got us in, and assessed the problem. They got us repaired same day I was amazed. Really appreciative.
The tow guy and the owner did an exceptional job with communicating with me the price as well as ETA. I had a blown tire and needed it to be changed, the tow guy came and got to work right away. Had a little trouble with a piece on my lug-nut so it wouldn’t budge at first, but he did everything he could to get it off, after finding the correct tool in my truck; it was a success and I was able to get the tire changed. Super nice dude, and as a woman, he didn't leave me hanging on the side of the road. Once he got the piece off, it took him no longer than 5-10mins to change my tire, and I was on the road right after. I highly recommend them! Great people. Very understanding and helpful!
Outstanding work. I don’t know what I would have done without their service. I was on the highway and I blew a tire, I called and he sent a nice gentleman (Zach I think) and he put my spare on, which my spare was no good so he towed me to the nearest tire company and the rest is history but he went out and beyond, great customer service and me being a single mom with kids in the car, he made me feel very comfortable and I was relieved. Best tow company I’ve came across yet. I will definitely use them again if I need one. Decent price, great customer service, boss was very concerned and made shore I got to safety! I appreciate their work.
10,000 dollar charge.... It's funny reading these reviews and the company replying back it's funny everybody has an issue with the towing company but then the towing company turns around and says it's everybody else's fault, my experience in life is is everybody's got a problem with one person it's usually not the group of people it's the one that's saying everyone else is wrong, before you contact any tow or wrecker always read the reviews my boss got scammed by these guys and I told him to go read the reviews first and go figure you guys got a one star sad very sad

If I can give 0 stars, I would!!! They are NOT HONEST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH!!!!! I called for a quote and they said 125 for hook-up, and 4 dollars per mile! They charged me 10 additional miles for coming to my location, Fuel Surcharge of 10 percent of my total, and added 3 miles in addition to the 16 actual miles they went to drop off my car. A very special friend of mines placed a card on file and we were lead to believe the card would be used to cover the charges for the tow. However, when we arrived to the location to drop my vehicle the company added the charges I mentioned, and would not use the card placed on file for towing charges. They asked my friend to Zelle, and he didn’t have zelle. They asked for a picture of his ID and Credit Card to be sent to them because he was not with me in person to prevent fraud, however, that request is highly inappropriate as it can be the basis FOR FRAUD!!! They were EXTREMELY RUDE TO HIM, by saying this is 2025, when he advised them that he did not have Zelle!!! I HIGHLY DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT SNARKY INAPPROPRIATE COMMENT!!! My friend is an HIGHLY AWESOME MAN that treats everyone with respect!!!
We asked the repair shop to cover the charges and add it to our bill, which they agreed to do!! Please consider another tow company that’s up front with the cost and are not RUDE to their customers!!! Do. Not do business with this business unless you want to be lied to about the cost and disrespected!!!!
I requested a tow they gave me a price of $195 plus $4 per mile. My drop off destination was 3.2 miles away. While my truck was on the bed he said the price is $280 if paid in cash $300 on card. That price was never discussed. When I tried calling to get some reassurance he said I’m the boss you spoke with there is nobody else. I would not recommend this company to anyone. This company need to be investigated for scamming. Terrible communication and customer service.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They quoted me one price initially, only to dramatically inflate it at the end without warning or justification. When confronted, they showed absolutely no remorse for their blatant dishonesty. This kind of predatory behavior is unacceptable and should not be allowed in any legitimate business. Companies like this erode trust and take advantage of people in stressful situations. They deserve to be held accountable for their actions and frankly, they have no business operating at all. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable towing company—you won’t find that here.
The person that did tow was very nice and respectful, but the charge they charged me for the tow to me was an insane price almost 390.00 to pickup a truck from my mechanic in Joliet I’ll to Minooka unbelievable
Completely dishonest people who told me the cost of towing was $125 when I called them only to give me a bill of $268 upon putting my car on their towing truck. When I questioned the astronomical increment, they started telling me about charge per milage and eveything they didnt tell me when i called to request their service. After going back and forth, they eventually forced me to pay $200.
I feel robbed and utterly disgusted with these people. Will never recommend you for anything. Not only did your dispatchers lie about timing, even the driver was the same as they all kept lying about their arrival time. They keept me waiting for 5 hours before the driver eventually showed up and yet had the audacity to charge me double what we agreed on the fone. Very shameless people.

Bait and switch company. I was quoted one price and then when came time to drop off my vehicle it was $250 more and they would not release my vehicle until I paid. These people are thieves. The man who towed me was absolutely wonderful though, this was not his doing at all.

Hello. My brothers and sisters. These people are scammer. Their only intention is to scam people money. They don’t know nothing about truck. They diagnostic my truck and said my fuel pump needs to replace. They told me if I get fuel pump from them is $7000. So, I went to freightliner parts for $3100. After they put new fuel pump again my problem of truck is still their not starting. We call them leave voice mail, text, and email them nobody respond. So, I took my truck to different shop to fix they fix my truck with few hours and they told me the issue is not fuel pump. Now, my truck is on the road. These people are taking advantage of our language. I will aware you guys please don’t ever call these people. Please check the reviews before call them. Because, I did mistake therefore I am giving you awareness from getting scam and extortion. I am taking legal advise and action.
I would advise to get a contract/ invoice in hand before you agree to do business with this company. I was verbally told $375 an hour and later told they needed to use another piece of equipment that ended up being $1500 an hour, which totaled in $6000 and I was expecting to pay no more than $2000. I was then told I should I of asked about the price again. I understand my mistake in this as well but if a price changes that much the business should be more transparent with their rates. The driver’s dispatch I had on-site had informed me that they were bragging about charging us over the head for very little work, which was disappointing. We ended up having the pay the next business day so they held my steel hostage and tried to get the carrier to sell the material to them. Even after payment was sent we had to wait to get access to my steel material. I later looked at the reviews and understand that is unfortunately how they operate their business. Other than the massive rate difference their work seemed fine and if they were more transparent with their pricing I would have recommended them to others. So just beware of rates and ask for an invoice beforehand when doing business with this tow truck company.
I called and spoke with customer service about an issue with my trailer and they told me to come right in. I pulled in and they fixed the issue stat. Very professional and even gave me directions to get to my destination. Will definitely return as well as recommend!

I had a truck sitting in the ditch with the trailer they just pulled me out on the shoulder not even one hour work they told me 550 for the hour when I called and they gonna count the driving to get to me so all in all $2000 they wanted $12,000 and they wouldn’t release my truck and trailer after fighting with them for hours finally, they accepted to charge me $7000
I am restoring my 1970 Buick, GS 455 convertible, it was scheduled to go back to the body shop after I installed the engine, trans mission, rear end, all new front end parts with the painted frame. The tow truck company out of Joliet, Illinois Was supposed to ship the car today. Trying to beat a bad storm coming in. They were not reliable and couldn’t do the job. The car was being pushed out on the street because another restoration was coming in. I called them the last minute and they were out within one hour to pick the car up, Captain Bob highly recommends Mighty, towing and recovery. They sent me a message that the car is now at the body shop inside. Why was I happy!

Worst experience of customer service and over charge I have ever experienced. I had told the company on the phone that I need pressure hose replaced going from steering box to pump. Even sent video and photo. Sent them VIN number and make model of truck as well. The guy showed 2 hours late without the hose. He went back and got the hose and then charged me 2 hours extra. Charged 90$ for steering fluid which cost 8$. Charged 125$ transaction fees. Even though when i first called they told me there is no extra fees besides parts and 195$ per hour fees
Our Driver was top notch. He was professional and tried to help us get our vehicle started before he hooked it up. He got under my van on the ground when it was 6 degrees with a wind chill and tried to get the starter working. No complaining.
When dealing with the dispatch office make sure to ask for a time frame. It took this place too long to get to me, and they weren’t very forthcoming with info on how long it would take them to rescue me. I waited for an hour and 45 min. But the driver made up for the frustrating dispatch guy.
STEER CLEAR! Their prices may seem good on the phone but turned out to be a bait and switch. We were quoted $91 to tow the car 2 miles away from the house. When it came time to pay the total was $195 but they were SOOO nice to give us $30 off for the pricing discrepancy making it $165. Tried to get an answer from them on the charge vs quoted price AND an invoice for 5 days. After calling numerous Times they said they stand by their outrageous price and still no invoice. The guy I talked to gave some BS excuse saying paying with credit cost more and not having the keys requires skates so it costs more. Mind you ALL of this information was provided at the time of quote including that we can pay by cash or credit and they said either way is fine and never stating there is fee to use credit. Please save yourself the headache and go somewhere else it will be a lot cheaper and a lot less stress.
Well, long story, short, I should have read the reviews before using them, they quoted us one price and charged us something different, when I asked about it, it was almost like he got caught in a lie and told me that they will charge the credit card what was originally quoted. After I sent them our credit card information, they charged the WRONG amount, when I called and asked about it they went against their word, I was told they would send me a credit for the difference, as they were NOT authorized to charge our card that amount, and they were FULLY aware. I sent a few emails and FINALLY got one back from Mike saying he would process the credit when he got back into the office, which he never did. I also never heard back from him, SUPER disappointing, will NEVER use them again. It is very unprofessional & wrong to charge a credit card the wrong amount, especially when they were told to ONLY charge the credit card the amount that was agreed on over the phone. They might say the reviews are fake but they are 100% true.
In response to your comment - No - we did NOT agree on that price, Mike told us he would take $40 off and never did, you were told you were NOT authorized to charge our card that amount and you did anyways.
Very friendly and likable when you first call. But that's just part of the scam. They want money at the cost of your safety and provide false quotes. They held me on 294 for 2 hours after they said the driver is right around the corner. Not a safe place to be stranded then strung along. I was quoted a hook up fee plus $4 mile for the tow. After being towed the driver tells me they also charge for driving to the tow site and that he came 50 miles! Then changed it to 30 miles from garage. The actual tow was 4 miles. Of course calling them again is useless as the stonewall you.
Unfortunately I learned the hard way to listen to peoples reviews, This is the first time I ever write a review because in my mind we all have different opinions. I thought people or businesses should have a second chance, Well on this one I was SO WRONG!!! This was a horrible experience, by far worse of the worst. When I called I asked how much they charged, I was told $135.00 per hour (that was a lie) I also asked if there was a minimum of hours? they said no (that was a lie). I was told they would be there in 40 minutes (that was a lie). When they finally got to where I was at (3 hours later) I was told they would charge another $150 to remove the trucks shaft, at that point I was frustrated at the whole situation so I pretty much had to agree. ( I mean after a 3 hour wait) .... To top it off by removing the shaft they also broke a screw (that I had to get repaired and pay for) when they finally got to my location ( 40 minutes away from where my truck broke down) they charged me $625.00 !!!! I was literally stunned!!! How do you people come up with those numbers?? After arguing over the total they discounted $25.00 yes only $25.00 from $625.00. So I paid $600.00 for towing from Mighty's outrageous service charge. Unbelievably but true. This is not fair for me or anyone these people have made a fool of. They are dishonest and unprofessional.

My suggestion is to carefully pay attention to all reviews and NEVER use these people for anything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! I will be filing a complaint on BBB website as well.
SIMPLY THE WORST! Please think twice before calling this company. they lied to me and cheated me out of your money! They made a bad situation worse! When I called to fix the problem they hung up on me, lied to me saying they would process a credit. I never received an invoice that was ledge-able to process for a claim. Called them at 6am and they said will be there 45min to a hour. Tried calling them back after a hour and they stopped answering. Had to call another tow company to come. After when the manager and the driver stopped answering they had some lady that kept on calling and still Insisting for me to give them a chance to come and tow my truck after they had me waiting for four hours. I told them no that I had someone else coming. Long story short they still showed at 11am about 2 minutes before the other tow company and got in front of my truck and did not let the other tow company tow my truck. They said I canceled and had to pay $395 for a cancellation fee. I had to get the state police to have them move there truck. 5 hour of waiting and still wanted to get some money. You guys really need to work on your business or will soon be shutdown.
Horrible service and very deceptive! We were told they would be there in 25 minutes, they came 1 hour and 20 minutes later. We asked what the tow would cost, they said $65 plus a $4 feet for something. When we arrived to our house the driver said it would be $329. We were blown away! We called the manager, he said that if we didn't pay they would impound the truck. They claim that they were under the impression we told them our truck was a 1500, which was false. We clearly explained to them It was a diesel 2500 truck. They said that because the truck is a 2500 it's considered a medium duty truck and costs much more. We understand that, but they never told us anything until the truck was delivered. The driver even sent a picture of our truck to his manager upon his arrival. They could have told us that upon their arrival or over the phone but no, they don't tell you till it's too late. I would have happily paid for their time and fuel for coming out if they had told me it was going to cost $329 to tow my truck 11 miles to my house. Mightys highway robbery. I HIGHLY ADVISE TO CONSIDER USING ANY OTHER TOWING SERVICE, OR JUST PUSH IT HOME!
