The folks working at this facility are very polite, courteous and professional. I like to bring them donuts or other treats to show my appreciation. Saying Thank you always is easy and goes along way!
Never did I expect to be yelled at when dropping off oil. One of the ladies has the worst attitude. They were fast at taking the oil out of my trunk though.
I’ve been coming here many times to dispose of hazardous liquids and I am very grateful that this place is nearby. They function efficiently and quickly and you’re in and out in no time. The staff has always been very friendly and professional, except for the older and heavy set guy who seems to be the team leader. This past Sunday this guy was on a power trip and was just rude and condescending. I can see the other workers feeling embarrassed and ashamed to have to be working with this miserable and bitter guy.
I have dropped things off there for several years and noticed that guidelines can change overnight. So I keep aware by reading the Dupage county list of recyclables every year. Last year I had hearing aid batteries shipped from England. I spoke to the sales person there she explained that those batteries have been redesigned to be thrown in the garbage. It seems that along with the huge weather change and the Space X activity we need to keep on our toes as people are now demonstrating about the global warming and the carbon foot print. Once again as during the Cold War there are some countries that only care about money. And controlling other countries for various reasons.
Got to this location at 905 am with 5 boxes of hazardous liquid. People there were professional, courteous and efficient. I was out of there in 5 minutes. Excellent!!
Very friendly and helpful staff, relieved a great strain by taking lots of old oil, car batteries, and other icky stuff found during an estate clean up!
I've never written a public review but felt compelled to write one for the guys that jumped in as a team to take a burden off my hands (hazardous waste). They got me in and out of their facility in minutes.
Though they had to be sweating up a storm in the 90 degree heat, they never said a thing.
The people seem to be very helpful and have great knowledge of hazmat waste. The seem to really care about our environment. I tried to tip them but refused and kept the line moving
I am grateful for this service in Naperville. I brought some old wiring in, CFL bulbs, and small AA used batteries. They do NOT accept old batteries or CFL bulbs, which was surprising. Batteries are one of the most common haz. waste there is! Since this is a City Household Waste Company, I was surprised. I have no idea where to go now.
Great service! Be sure to check the list of accepted items, but I dropped off a battery, CO2 fire extinguisher, fluorescent lightbulbs, fertilizer, motor oil, and cleaning chemicals.
Easy drop off, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They explained what they couldn't take and why, and their reasoning was clear and sensible, agreed with the information we checked on the site before dropping off our household hazardous waste items. Arrived about one hour after open, had to wait maybe 1-2 minutes for one vehicle in front of us.
Employees were fast and efficient. Not a bad drive from Champaign. Ifound that if spray paint cans are empty that can be taken to metal recycling. The staff is an excellent resource for questions you may have about hazardous waste.
A very easy, fast, and pleasant experience. Stay in your car while polite and positive employees take care of unloading. There's no need to be tempted to throw toxic items in the garbage when you can take them here instead.
On Sat. Nov. 3rd, stopped at the recycling center with some hazardous waste materials - the staff on sight worked quickly to remove the items from my car. They were very friendly and seemed glad that I chose to recycle responsibly. Thanks for this very important service - and thanks to the staff on site. They were great!
