Told my son his engine was seized and was junk. I trailered it to honesty automotive in Dixon and Josh had it up and running without any issues in less than a half hour. That’s just sad.

Had the same issue twice in the same week. Fixed a second time for free which was okay. What’s NOT okay is them saying “We can’t guarantee the part”. Really? Get a new parts supplier instead of giving people ticking time bombs.

Jim has been serving our vehicles for over 12 years. This Small Business is very reliable and has helped us with very quick response to repairs. Very truthful and honest. This is my first place to go to for any auto or truck mechanical issues.

They claimed to have fixed a problem that was not fixed. The owner tried to tell me another part just happened to go bad since they “fixed” it a few miles ago, and this part just happened to cause the exact same code that they had just “fixed.” The owner was rude, argumentative and dismissive. Save your money and your stress levels. Take it somewhere else and get it fixed right the first time.

Wouldn’t tell me a price before he started working on my truck then ordered a bunch of parts before I said I wanted them to work on it

Jim stayed late to make sure that I was able to get my vehicle. I phoned ahead letting him know that I wouldn't be able to make it in time before 5pm. He was very kind and friendly. Thank you Jim's

I've never had a more unprofessional experience with a mechanic. I had them tow in my truck because it wouldn't start and they were supposed to just look and see if it was a quick fix, I never heard from them again! I finally stopped in to see what was going on and they gave me a drawn out story of them looking for the problem, but not finding it yet. I left and again, never heard a thing. I finally got a call from a different shop saying that this place had dropped it off with them and asked them to look at it. I was never told it was even being moved. Now I'm responsible for Jim's putting in an alternator that my truck didn't need and I was never even told they were going to put one in. Disgraceful!! These people should be ashamed of themselves for how they conduct business.

I took my car to Jim's - it had died once and was running strange when idling. When they started it up it ran fine - but instead of asking me or informing me of the cost to attempt to diagnose it they went ahead and drove it for 30 miles (it did not ever give me a problem when I drove it) then they did other tests etc. they never found anything but I was billed $70 for their efforts. I should have been told what they planned to do and about how much it was going to cost. they were not upfront about their pricing and when I had a conversation with the owner about it - during the first part of the conversation he actually laughed at me, and at one point walked away while I was talking to lock the back door. Pricing should be upfront - no one should be charged $70 with out first approving the cost. That is why some auto shops have "diagnosis" pricing so that the costumer knows what it is going to cost. I don't trust a auto shop who is not upfront with their pricing and not willing to see what they did wrong and try to make it right.
