my sister was taking the driving test and this hispanic lady, what kind of person doesn't have her name tag, this grumpy lady started yelling at my sister for no reason. and started saying words in spanish that I understood clearly and what she said was really rude. So rude, so unprofessional. I usually have a good experience here.
Despite the anxiety we have about going to a DMV, they are actually quiet efficient and the processes are fairly streamlined. Yesterday may be an anomaly, but I was in and out in 25 minutes.
There is a very rude guy that works at the front gate. He should not be working in a public state facility communicating with people. Made a mistake wasting my time coming in here. After he refused to let me in I went to the DMV in Addison and got everything done in like 20 min and was able to drive my car same day. Shame on the management at the Schaumburg location!
If you didn't know, all of the Suburban DMV offices are by appointment now - it's backed up a few weeks wherever you're looking. Now, the good part... for my DL renewal with a vision screening - I was in/out in around 15 min!!! And, this was at 9am!! Later I went back to renew my plates & was in/out in 5!!
From the moment I entered the Schaumburg facility...Til it was all complete...EVERYONE kind, informative. and so nice... Each was so helpful..They deserve a great BIG Thanks for doing such a good job..

I had a very disappointing experience with one of the representatives, Kyle, at the Schaumburg DMV. He was extremely rude and arrogant during our call. Without my consent, he canceled my appointment, didn’t let me finish my question, and abruptly hung up the phone. This behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone representing a public service office. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future.
Very well run facility. Believe it or not the staff on hand was receptive, helpful and very welcoming to the citizens who needed their professional service. Thanks everyone at this suburban location.
Today, I accompanied my mother to the Schaumburg Secretary of State office to obtain her state ID. During the photo-taking process, I pointed to the blue circle on the camera to help my mother, who has difficulty seeing. At that moment, the staff member taking the photo unexpectedly slapped my hand.
She later apologized and explained that employees are instructed not to allow anyone to touch the equipment. I clarified that I was not touching the device—only pointing to assist my mother.
After my mother’s paperwork was complete, I reported the incident to the supervisor and requested that they review the camera footage. I did not expect to be physically struck while trying to assist my mother, especially in a government office. It was an upsetting and unprofessional experience.
The employee in question was a woman with an accent, glasses, and brunette hair. Despite the incident, I want to express my appreciation to the supervisor on duty today for taking my report seriously. I hope steps will be taken to ensure better customer service and appropriate conduct in the future.
5/20/25. Went to update the tillte in my car ,I been in window 21. I been attended for a black lady, with a horrible actitud , dint answer my question ,she said I highlighted. Allready and I told you exacly what to do ,that was her answer.. + horrible way to do her job ....I dont know ,what this people is doing here...
I took my daughter to renew their state ID. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Everyone she spoke to was very friendly. The whole process was very fast & efficient.
I loved how the employees were kind & helpful . These were the people who made this visit extremely wonderful - Gianna - ( spelling ? )John & Alexis . They should get a bonus of at least $5.00 an hour more .

Line was wrapped around the former REI and took 2 hours to get in the door.
Additional 1 hour once inside, waiting for pics, waiting to review paperwork, wait to pay.
They would periodically review paperwork and confirm people had what was needed for their transactions. Most people are getting real IDS which takes longer or renewing drivers license. Car stickers are faster and don’t wait in the queue. Also high priority service for seniors, pregnant, and persons with disabilities. Go to door don’t wait in queue.

Not sure how they could go faster. Everyone was friendly and helpful. No food or drinks once indoors.
