If only ALL AutoZones were run like this store! I had an issue with my vehicle and the mangers Victoria and Angel were nothing but extremely HELPFUL! More staff members need to take notes from Victoria and Angel as their customer service is EXCELLENT! Keep up the fantastic work
So, Amy, first of all, I've gotta rave about this girl, was THE MOST HELPFUL PERSON I think I've EVER encountered at any retail establishment, EVER!!! Not only did she know the products and where to find everything I was looking for, but she was friendly, willing to chat like a normal person, and when it came time to check out and I needed help installing my new wipers, not only was she totally, absolutely on top of her game, she was FAAAAAAST as lightning about it, and done before I had a chance to blink! If you've got the opportunity to ask for help from her when you go in here, PLEASE DO, because the customer service she provided to me MORE THAN makes up for the higher prices that Auto Zone charges for their products, and I'll 1,000% be back again because of her! Thank you SOOOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING, AMY! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!
I came to this AutoZone specifically because they are supposed to install the battery if you buy it from them. This is already the second store I visited today. The first store (O’Reilly) couldn’t do it because there was only one employee available and he could not leave the counter. That was understandable.
But here, there were two employees, and they still refused to install the battery, saying it was “too windy outside.” I asked politely before buying the battery, just to make sure they would be able to install it, but they still said no.
I understand that the weather can be inconvenient, but this is a service they advertise and customers rely on. It was disappointing to see two employees simply refusing to help. Very frustrating experience.
I took two sample small oil filters with me and told the employee that I needed a wrench that would work for both. He recommended one. When I tried to use it, I realized it was clearly for truck filters.
When I went back to return it, the clerk got annoyed because the package was open. In a rude tone—like the kind of person who complains about discrimination while looking down on people from “lower latitudes”—he asked how I could dare return it like that.
I explained that I understood his point, but he needed to consider that they told me that was the right wrench and that I had no reason to open it until I tried it. I asked him how he expected me to know it didn’t work if I didn’t test it. I told him, “ONE OF YOU recommended this to me.”
He replied, “We’re not experts…”
I left and went to the closest O’Reilly. They solved everything immediately and told me, “Don’t worry, you can open the package. If it doesn’t work, bring it back. You don’t even need the receipt—we have it in the system. Have a great day.”
PD: it was supposed that this wrench was adjustable... But... It isn't
Employees have no knowledge. I came earlier today to buy 2 oil filters I had my young daughter with so I asked an associate to get it for me. Came home and started work to change the oil and when I opened the oil filter turns out they gave me the wrong part. I call and to ask if they can help me out and bring me the correct filter and they told me they don’t have it in stock. If It was not in stock in the first place then why not tell me from the beginning. Yes I should have checked the filter first but I trusted them because they are the experts right? Now I have no choice but to replace the old filter and to get my car running again

I visited the AutoZone in Schaumburg on May 13, 2025, to replace a front headlight bulb. Manager Louis provided outstanding customer service—he was not only eager to assist but also went above and beyond by identifying an issue with my connector and helping me address it on the spot.
His professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to help made a potentially frustrating situation quick and stress-free. Kudos to Louis and sincere thanks for the excellent support!
Excellent service by the lady, who changed my car battery. Initially, I forgot to ask for battery test, but I asked later on; Still she did it patiently without complaining. Appreciate that. Very professional and did everything very quickly. Highly recommended to go to this place. Thank you.
This place is not friendly at all. I went in to get an air cleaner replacement and stood in front of the register. The lady who works there didn't even acknowledge my presence. She was too busy chatting with another worker who was working at the back. I'm glad I found a self serve register to take care of business. I will never come back to this store. They don't appreciate their customers.
With my life being so busy it's better late than never to express my customer experience at this location. Amy customer service skills are second to none. her knowledge, her breakdown,her willingness to help and her professionalism was phenomenal!!! I had no clue but, by the time I got done with Amy sharing information I was confident in my purchase. Amy should teach a class she is so amazing thank you Amy one satisfied customer!!! I had to call the location to make sure that I was on the right website. I spoke with Dan who was very professional in answering the phone and giving me Clarity to my question. On a scale from 1-10 I give a 20
2/2025 5* Lucio helped me immensely. Got the right part and even helped put it in for me. My headlight works great now! Thanks Lucio. I really appreciate it. I will be back to store as often as I need parts.
Alex at AutoZone on golf road in Schaumburg he was so polite he came out to my car and put my license plate on my car and I've been to other AutoZone's and all of the other kids have excuses for not coming out and doing stuff on my car such as wipers other small items to do on my vehicle none of them such as streamwood or Hanover Park came out to help me with my vehicle Alex was the only one who came out to help me. He definitely deserves some recognition and I will continue to go to your Schaumburg store and not your streamwood or your Hanover Park stores
I had a burnt out headlight on my elantra and went to get it replaced here. I had asked to borrow a few simple tools which they lent me, and I was able to replace the bulb no issues. However, I could not get the assembly back in to save my life, and I asked one of the associates for help. They were able to assist me and popped the headlight back in, which I greatly appreciate. Unfortunatly I forgot to ask their name!
Wayne was super nice & helped me with a problem that I was having with my car. He quickly found the solution and so did another nice employee there.They seem to be very knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend coming to this location.Thanks
Sold me a Napa battery in 2022 of course me not being a battery expert thought I bought a duralast gold and now the battery is shot I came to test it test bad they said they will replace then started to say it's not their battery and I swapped the sticker I said where can I even get the stickers to print out like planting me as a scammer when they are the ones who scammed me I have over 32 warranties with AutoZone and today they have lost my business forever
The managers there are kids that think they know things but just started the job 6 months ago crazy
An African American guy with one arm sold me the battery in 2022 and they can check the camera and see I am not lieing it's crazy what the world has turned into

Update: If I could give 6 stars I would. I had such a weird and obscure problem and yet one of the employees (I believe "Wayne") took some time to help me fix my battery post using a strange trick he knew. He deserves a raise. This place never fails me!
[Original Review]: The people here are always nice and ready to help. This store has been incredibly useful for me, especially with the hours and selection of items. I wanted to change my own oil and it had the oil, it had car ramps, it had a Honda OEM filter, it had the pan, it had literally everything I needed. They provide free diagnostics for check engine and free battery inspections too. They also take used oil. Such a convenient and awesome place! Saved money here too since we were able to get parts that were way cheaper than what the mechanics had. Saved us literally a thousand bucks.
This auto zone is terrible! Went in to buy oil and a filter last night the girl and guy working wouldn’t move from behind the counter to show me where the product was that I need to buy and the store was completely empty. When I brought back the wrong thing and asked if they could show me which one I needed all they said was its back there. They were more concerned with what the girl needed to get her mom for dinner after their shift. Hopefully management reads this and has a discussion with them. I’ve gone to many different auto zones with great service and this place is not one of them.
I recently went to this store to get replacement bulbs for my license plate. Francisco L. assisted me at the counter and kindly offered to install the bulbs for me. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful since I didn't know how to do it myself. Despite the chilly weather, Francisco professionally replaced the bulbs and didn't charge me extra. Thanks to Francisco's excellent service, I'm now a loyal customer of AutoZone. Appreciate having such a great staff member like Francisco!
This encompasses two visits. The 3 stars is for the first. The second visit, you don't have enough stars. I got a battery 1 year ago. Recently I had to jump somebody, and noticed a vast amount of corrosion. I thought it strange fie a sealed cell battery. Friday, it died. I got a jump and went back.to.the store on Saturday. The man helping me was of no help. Yes, I had a 3 year warranty, yes, the battery was a year old. It's the cable that is bad. So he shows the person he's training how to do a terrible job of cleaning the corro sion. After that, just a load test. Never offered a new battery, never really let me talk. And he was training a woman? Yeah, training her for failure. It died Monday night as I pulled into the garage. Jumped again, back to autozone tuesday. What a difference. The man listened, looked at the receipt, checked the computer and asked if wanted a new one. He replaced the battery, cleaned and cleaned some more and got the positive connectort clean. Then he sealed it. It's people like him that make me keep coming back. An exemplary employee
I was looking for some sand paper and was able to find some sanding sponges! They are prefect for the project I need to work on. The sales associate even was able offer other options that could work for what I was doing. It’s great that auto zone staffs people who really are car people and know there stuff!
The staff at this AutoZone really try their best to help you out with any auto issues you are having. They take their time and have a good work culture. I was assisted by a very polite and hardworking part-time/seasonal staff member named Jimmy and he did his best and then some to help me with a headlight replacement.
Got the 4Runner a new pair of windshield wipers. Good customer service, especially Devin and the manager on duty. Appreciate the good deal and quick service. Would definitely recommend.

My son and I recently went into the store and needed quite a bit of help. Neither of us really knew what we were doing. Brian went above and beyond to help us get everything we need and even helped install a few things while also guiding my son how to do it on his own. It was an awesome experience and we are so thankful for him!
I had 2 battery issues today ,,,, brought 1 in for check and had to have someone check my current battery in my car.... store was busy but James did the job and was very friendly and nice ... Auto zone is lucky to have him as an employee... he went the extra mile to install our battery and troubleshoot the 2nd one...called us back and resolved the issue.. great Job ! also Joan at that location was great as well !! will be back and these 2 employees should be commended !!
