This company is a big scam and will NEVER recommend them. Called for a tow with less than a mile distance. Driver got to drop destination and said $250 and told me to call the company. The guy on the phone was so rude and used derogatory words, kept saying $250 was on the receipt is what will be paid and I should have looked before signing. However the receipt does not have $250 anywhere on it and the driver drove off with my wheelchair van. Called several times and they keep hanging up the call and only brought it back the following day
I used this service today. Nice service and polite on the phone but before you use this company make sure you ask about all the hidden fees. They charge for mileage before they even get to you. There is a convenience charge on top of the towing fee. Deadhead fee, loading and unloading … etc - by the time I had to pay - it was triple the amount I was quoted over the phone.
First we were quoted $125 + $4.00 per mile, ended up being $395 because they charge interest. They were 2 hours late, they put the car on the trailer & then said what the amount was going to be. Once on the trailer you cannot get out of it. This company is a complete scam. I recommend you DO NOT use this company & we need to report them. This is NOT ok by any means, especially in these days where people are struggling just to get groceries. I am disgusted & should not be allowed to get away with this. I'm pissed!!!!
This towing company is a complete scam. You’re told $125 hook up fee and $4 every mile. What they DONT tell you is that they start charging you by the mile the second they leave their own base to come to your location. They choose the farthest location they have from your pickup location to milk you for more money. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Please do not use these scammers.
The responding tech was fine, but 1.5 hours for a location 12 miles away on a Saturday, just to take 5 lug nuts off and swap the spare tire that was already out and sitting there ready to put on....all that took was 5 minutes, and still $250. It would have been cheaper to tow the vehicle based on the prices shown in the reviews. Not a great response time OR price.
This company is scam and cheaters! When I called for towing my vehicle today they said $95 hock charges & $4 for miles then I asked how to pay they said you can card or cash and specifically I asked if I used card no extra charges then they said no extra charges and no hidden charges.
They towed 25 miles and give me a bill of $395 and it’s shocking to me and when I asked about it they said they’ll charge the miles from where the towing vehicle coming to pick me as well and fuel surcharges 20% which they didn’t mention and finally when I said I’ll pay with my card then they increased my bill to $426.
Literally they cheated me and I didn’t understand how they’re running businesses with this kind of cheating mentality.
Please avoid this company.
I made the mistake of not checking the reviews and received the same song and dance as the others…a quote of $125 plus $4 mileage. The car was towed to a mechanic less than a mile away and I was charged $240; $40 mileage, $56 gas fee plus other hidden fees. PLUS no itemized invoice. I’m going to dispute the charges through my bank! What a scam!!!
Avoid This Towing Company at All Costs!
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is nothing but a scam. They towed my vehicle a mere 2 miles (6 min away) and then hit me with an outrageous $2,000 bill—without ever disclosing the cost upfront. My driver wasn’t informed of the price until AFTER they dropped the truck at the mechanic, leaving us no choice but to pay their insane fee.
This is predatory, dishonest, and completely unacceptable. A tow should never cost this much for such a short distance. If you need towing, find another company unless you enjoy getting ripped off. I will be reporting them to the BBB and my state’s attorney general for their unethical business practices.

Worst car service I have ever had. They are crooks. Will change your rate and not tell you. Hold you car for hostage. The most disgusting service I have ever had while dealing with cars. Took two hours longer than the supposed time. The 190 tow turned out to be hundreds more. The dispatcher should be ashamed of themselves. Not the drivers fault the crook on the phone hikes up prices.
One of the worst scams in my life. Parents car broke down and was told $125 as a base tow which happen to be 2 miles from where they had flat tire. Arrived after 35 minutes and Towed the car to the tire shop 2 miles from location. Was told to pay $250 otherwise the scammer would not release the car. May God show no mercy and damn this buisness to complete utter failure!
I recently had a terrible experience with Speedy G Towing that I feel I have to share. After my vehicle broke down, I contacted them for help. To my shock, they charged me $450 for a simple 6-mile tow, which is way too much, especially since the average cost for something like that is around $75–$125.
Things got worse during the towing process. While loading my car onto the flatbed, it wasn’t secured properly, and it rolled into a light pole, causing significant damage. When I asked them to cover the repair costs, they refused for some reason even though I saw the car roll off and strike the light poll.
To make matters worse, after I tried to resolve the issue, Speedy G Towing blocked my number, so I couldn’t contact them anymore. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I’d strongly advise anyone to avoid using their services. They overcharge like crazy and give you your total after doing the job.

Overall, I had a good experience with the driver. He was professional and managed the car with caution. The issue was 100% the pricing. It was ridiculously high... the drive was only 5 miles and the total cost was close to $400. This should be specified at the start of the call before the service is completed. I believe the customer has the right to know an estimated price of how much the service will cost. I was in shock when the driver confirmed the total.
Alan was fast, polite and very professional. Highly recommend him and this company. ERA is awful. Made me wait 6 hours till I finally called speedy g towing. They came in 20 minutes. Amazing.
Put a call out to them asking to have a trailer moved and gave them a 24hr window. Never showed up, kept telling me someone would be on the way or calling me in 30 min. If you can't take on the job that's fine but dont tell me you are when you have no intention of doing so. This incident caused me to get a fine and also lose my job. I've never had a tow service just flat out not show up at all. Late as hell sure but just ghost you?
Thieves! They charge $495 to tow our suv 8 miles! They did not provide a quote over the phone either. When given the price, Adam threatened that he would take our vehicle to their impound if we didn’t pay immediately. Broke down their charges: $225 hook up fee, $22 surcharge and they apparently charge $4 dollars a mile to reach your vehicle and then charge to tow the vehicle to its destination. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are hit with a class action lawsuit sometime in the future. And after doing the breakdown the amount still exceeded what they were charging.
Predatory pricing comes with solid service. Came out to $275 PLUS credit card fees for 4 miles total round trip midday for a flat bed tow. Their yard-pick my car up-to auto shop (shop was on the other street from Speedys yard). You’d think you get a massage and a 3 course meal along with that crazy price. I was not told it was going to cost $275 until driver was about to unhook my car at shop. Charging anything these days huh.
Extortion artists. Threatened to take my car to their yard if I didn't pay $395 to tow a sedan less than 4 miles, without even being willing to talk through the matter, ignoring all of my texts from a number they used to communicate Zelle payment instructions and hanging up the phone twice. They inexplicably charged for the amount of time it took them to drive to my car from 19 miles away, and they said it was a minimum of $225 just to get the car. This was at 8pm on a Wednesday in normal winter weather. The price charged was more than 3 times what I have paid for similar tows by towing services in the area. STAY AWAY from these shakedown artists.
This experience with speedy g’s was a nightmare. To start, I asked if they were local as to avoid mileage fees. Their operator said, “they service my area.” That should have raised of red flag to me but after an accident I was frazzled and wasn’t thinking clearly. Their driver called soon after that and said he’d be there in an hour. He never showed despite his company sending me a text the next hour saying the job was completed. I called them the next day only to find out they failed to pick up my car. They informed me their driver was on his way there currently. I had already spoken with my insurance company at this point and set up a body shop less than five miles from the scene of the accident. I relayed this to speedy G’s. The next day when I called the body shop they had not received the vehicle. Speedy G’s took it 41 miles away to their impound.
Warning. Do Not Use. If you do you will regret it just I just did. They don't even deserve the one star. Dishonest people and a riff-off big time. The guy on the phone was an ahole. They give you one price over the phone when you call them then before they unload the car the driver calls the office and they double the price on you it was supposed to be 220 we ended up paying over $400 with tax. I told him I will give them a bad review He did not seem to care and it goes to show you what kind of people you are dealing with with here.
The worst towing service I've ever used. I got towed 1.7 miles. The cost was $421 for my hyundai sonata. They did not tell me about the cost until it was done and i couldnt do anything about it. Nothing special about the tow. Easily accessible. Not to mention the scraped my tail pipe on the way up the ramp and down the ramp (see picture). I would NOT recommend to anyone.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! 6 hours and still no help getting my car home. I got told they will be there in about an hour. I called for an update 1 hour and 20 minutes after I called. They told me the driver was being held up with another service and they will call me when they were on their way. I got no call. I open the text they had sent me but it doesn't tell me anything. It only let me update location. 6 hours goes by and my tow was canceled! I called back and I get told that someone will call me back. I waited 30 more minutes. Again no call back. I called again and get sent to voice mail, so I hung up because I thought I was manually sent to voice mail. So yet again I call back. I was right... I was manually sent to voice mail... I don't know what kind of 24 hour service this place is running, but that's such a horrible thing to do to a person that needs help and was putting trust in this towing company. I hope they don't do this to anyone else.
Great and speedy service! Erik went above and beyond job towing my vehicle. Very careful and professional! Prices are a little up there but being in the trucking business, they’re equipment well maintained that’s why they have to charge what they charge. Will use again if needed.
2 miles charged me $426!!!! What a ripoff!!! We are all working hard to make money, not robbing to make money. Would appreciate if the company could tell people how they calculate the miles when people call for service. For future customers, they count the miles from their company location and you have to pay round trip.
I had an awesome experience with Speedy G Towing! A large heavy object was in the middle of I -290 and could not avoid it. My tire exploded and had to get off on a very dangerous part of the road. Speedy G Towing had a quick response, with quick tire change and outstanding customer service. Prices are very reasonable. I would give them more stars if i could. I have been a google guide for over 8 years and have posted thousands of reviews and millions of views. I will say that Speedy G Recovery is at the top of my list because the saved my life literally. I Highly recommend using them.
If I could leave zero stars I would. I needed to have my car towed 3 days before Christmas. Luckily the mechanic I take my car to is down the street from me - less than a mile. I called and asked for pricing and they told me it would be $125 + $4/mile. Once they towed the car to the mechanic they let me know it would be $350 because they charge for the distance from their headquarters to your pick up location. When I tried to refuse the price, they told me they would tow my car to their impound lot unless I agreed to pay. STAY AWAY!!!
They damaged my car and refused to pay for the damages. As they were putting my car on the flat bed, the car became loose and rolled down a ditch near some train tracks. They Wanted me to take it to a shop of their choosing probably to do the cheapest job possible. I did not want after market parts on my vehicle because I bought it brand new and never crashed it. Then they refused to give me the number and address to the shop. Here some pictures from that day. They also blocked my number so I am not able to call them anymore and bother them.
