I called here Sunday evening to see if my car was at this location and the lady I spoke to was so nice and helpful , i should of asked her name but thank you for being patient with me..
I have a question — because when I called, a rude lady hung up on me.
Why would you tow a truck and keep it in a residential area, instead of bringing it to a parking lot?
Please clarify.
Ok, let me say this it is ILLEGAL TO ALLOW VICIOUS DOGS TO ROAM ON PREMISES WHILE CUSTOMERS ARE TRYING TO RETRIEVE BELONGINGS FROM THEIR VECHILE. THE LADY IN THE OFFICE WAS PROUD TO SAY " WE'RE NOT LOCKING THEM UP". IT WAS THE LACK OF EMPATHY, NEGLIGENCE, AND RUDENESS THEY EXPRESS. I'M NOT GOING IN A LION DEN WITH 5/6 PITS BECAUSE YOU LOVE YOUR DOG REGARDLESS IF THEY BITE OR NOT IT'S IN THEIR NATURE, AND THEY WILL ATTACK, AND MAY EVEN TURN ON YOU. SO DON'T SAY WHAT AN ANIMAL WON'T DO. I NEVER BEEN TO A TOWING PLACE WHERE THEY WANT YOU TO BE SURROUNDED WITH VICIOUS DOGS. THAT'S INSANE.
This company is predatory. They tow vehicles of customers doing their grocery shopping at Aldi. They illegally lifted this vehicle while the owner and their dog where inside the cabin, which goes against every safety tow protocol (They should lose their towing license just for that). This entire company is trash if I could give it zero stars I would. I could understand if the person left their semi there unattended for a few hours, but they were literally inside Aldi for 15 minutes.
Their pricing is not reasonable at all, and on top of that, their communication is terrible. I asked a simple question about when my vehicle would be released after payment was provided , and the operator’s answer was just, “I don’t know and we waiting for the driver” How can someone tell me they’re waiting on something but have no idea when it’ll happen? It left me completely confused and questioning their professionalism

Tuesday 09/30 while picking up my car around 8pm the front desk “lady” was what I can say had provided the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. She was nasty, rude, unprofessional and had body language that mirrors her lack of respect for her role at Area Towing. My dad had 460 dollars and the fee was supposed to be 445. She looked at us and said we don’t give out change so you need to go and get the exact amount (even though the place is cash only) she refused to give us change. Of all the signs that are posted inside of this place - not a single one mentioned - EXACT CHANGE OR NO CHANGE GIVEN. My dad and I went outside to try to get the money and were able to gathered the exact amount but one dollar was all coins. She said we don’t take coins (with a nasty smile) . She was obviously making it hard just for us for absolutely no reason. I asked why she was doing that and she kept saying she was doing her job and threatening to retain my car another day if I would continue to argue and question her.
Sad to think people live their live’s this way, by making it hard on people without any reason.
I was not able to get her name but she was on shift at this time - in her 50s and large. This has nothing to do with race/identity/belief system but I don’t have her name so I wanted to give out her description and hope the message gets across to her.
Do not go to this place if you don’t want your day ruined .
I hope management can see this and address this lady’s lack of professionalism, courtesy and education. It’s unfortunate that during bad times you meet or encounter bad people.
Such scam artists, they avoided my calls and purposely delayed my car pickup, costing me more money. One the phone they gave me one price, but then in person the demanded a higher price, in cash. DO NOT TRUST THEM
My car broke down in a busy intersection on North Avenue and fifth in Melrose Park on 8/18/25 . Police officers came to my aid. My insurance company was unable to send me a tow truck as soon as possible so the police officers called area towing they were within 10 minutes I was helped and my car was told to my mechanic in Westmont thank you area towing. I would’ve given a better rating however I have been asking for my bill to submit to my insurance and I have not received any callback or anything mailed to me
The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They lie just to get extra money. They told me my car was picked up when it actually wasn’t. For 12 days they insisted it had already been picked up, but in reality they were looking at the wrong record. The police finally found my car, yet the company still charged me the full 12 days of storage. Completely dishonest and unacceptable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
My friend’s rental car was towed here. She called to get details to come pick it up and they told her the car had already been picked up by someone else. My friend called the rental company and they told her that no, the car hadn’t been picked up from the tow yard - so my friend reported the rental car stolen.
Days go by and Area Towing now admits they were looking at the wrong paperwork and still have my friend’s car in their possession, but they’re making her pay several days worth of storage fees. She reminded them they she called the night of the towing to pick up the car and they told her it had already been picked up, but now Area Towing denies her ever calling. The customer service is horrible! Own up to your mistakes!!!
Alisa is amazing! She is a real character. You are in a terrible mood when needing to call a tow company but when Alisa shows up she's going to make you laugh! I know what company I'm going to call the next time I need a tow and ask for Alisa. She is very knowledgeable so you can feel safe with your property when she's on the job.
Wonderful service, Frank came out at night to pick up my pickup. Entire front right wheel/axle/suspension were gone and he managed to get it home completely safely. My car was handled better than a newborn baby. If you need to be towed by area towing, you're in good hands!
Denise & Natalie gave the best service ! Definitely very kind & helpful during a time I was very stressed ! I will not be a satisfied customer until both of these wonderful ladies get a raise they deserve !
I had a wonderful conversation with Alisa when I was desperate for service on my friends vehicle. She kept my friend and I calm as we could be given the situation and was very informative about updates. I highly recommend this company and worker.
Very fast, called them and they were here in 10 minutes as quoted for my lock out service. Jay is highly recommended and very fast. Car was unlocked within 5 mins

We had a popped tire on 290 and I called Area towing and Craig the driver was very polite, very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend their services. Haven’t had a towing company this nice in a while along with their staff and workers definitely deserve 5 stars!
