Been a loyal customer at the Forest View location for so many years and everyone there has always been very friendly and very helpful and the prices there are very reasonable compared to other yards I’ve priced before going here permanently. Anytime I show up with heavier scrap they are always there to lend a helping claw.
Worst scrap yard in chicago land.. Scale is a joke to get to.. No one speaks any english. Always want you to dump in different spots every time you go.. Sit on the scale for 5 minutes before anyone shows up.. Do not use this place. Complete joke..
Absolutely the Best great staff in and out and 30 to 40$ dollars moore a ton than United scrap in Cicero ill travel 20 miles out of my way to go there and pass 3or 4 scrap yards on the way THE BEST !!!!
While driving on 355 on Wednesday, May 17 at around the 142nd mile marker (~2:25pm), I was two cars behind one of their trucks that was pulling a trailer. The trailer was not covered and had various pieces of debri sticking out the top. The trailer license plate was 437 046 (the zero may be a D). A large rock or some type of round/light-colored object got caught by the wind and flew directly from somewhere on top of the trailer into my windshield. In the bottom left corner of my windshield there is a ~2 inch circle crack/chip (not sure the term). I've attempted to contact the company on 3 separate occasions and have yet to hear back, even though I can tell that both emails that I sent directly to them have been read/opened.
