It's sad that evrytime we bidit this store, all the good items are sold, or holding for somebody to pick-up. I'm thinking to go to the store in Chicago.

if you're looking for a program to help jump start a new trade in the union, one might suggest that you're better off joining a whole other program actually IN the Chicago,or just out of state. two top reasons on WHY they received one star. -lack of communication:incredibly difficult to get hold of. while they advertise that they're for the community but don't bother reciprocating simple communication WITH the community. called 6 times in the last 3 months,Not a single reply back. if this is always going to be the case, definitely not interested in what they're doing with their funds. -false advertisement: while their website says they have programs available, there's literally no one calling back and the calendar is not updated. that tells me all I need to know of what is not the best option. judging by the stats of the other views,it tracks.

Such a community gem. I’ve loved the different workshops I’ve attended. I appreciate being able to buy materials from the warehouse - which provides affordable materials and keeps them out of the landfills. Their job force training has been life changing for my son and others.

This place is just awesome. Tons of materials with lots of character. We also had a blast at their Halloween kid building session. The instructors were great about providing ideas and letting kids explore on their own. An amazing place.

I have bought so many beautiful things here! Great resource for unique building materials! Chandeliers, sconces, moldings, towel bars and rings are some of the things I have bought. The staff are soooo nice!!! Love this place!

I love this place, it was a life saver! Ryan is awesome, super helpful , very patient… kind and informative. I had no clue what I wanted but helped with all the shopping. Helped turn my barn house int a doll house . The prices are so responsible and delivery was fast and easy.I got a beautiful granite corner top for such a great price. Many options to choice from and flooring for days.Happy as hell, that I walked into this place. Home Depot who!

The staff here are VERY helpful. They all are well informed and willing to help answer all questions. The appliances are restored where I haven’t experienced any malfunction in the products I’ve purchased. Ryan, Manager, is a troubleshooter, problem solver and always available. Every staff member I’ve encountered always has a smile and offers assistance. I rather shop here than any big box company. The variety of products is very impressive. I’d recommend home owners, renters, office owners, and real estate investors to visit Rebuilding Exchange in Evanston. You won’t regret it.

I cant say I recommend this place at all. There pricing is very highly and they don’t negotiate at all. I bought window well covers from them And they did not fit so they are useless for me. The same day I bought them, I asked if I could return them for a credit or refund and they said no. This is highly disappointing. When you are working on your property you sometimes need to purchase without knowing 100 percent that the item will work. Without any credit or refund (at least a same day policy) you are just risking it. There is a Restore on Pulaski in Chicago that negotiates, has a return policy, and way better pricing. That’s where I recommend going. This business caters to wealthy buyers and the pricing is high because of this. If you need flexibility and a standard return policy (which first time home owners do) do yourself a favor and try the Restore in Chicago or bite the bullet and go to Home Depot.

People there are very knowledgeable and want to be helpful. As a woman I particularly appreciate the way Ryan dealt with me.

I had an excellent experience with Miguel on my trip to the warehouse on 7/8. He was courteous. Knowledgeable and extremely charismatic, engaging, and well spoken. The shop was organized to an OCD level; which is very uncommon for 2nd hand / salvage type stores. I will definitely come back here again to take advantage of the individualized customer service which ultimately led me to go home with the right product. Thanks again Miguel.

If you need anything traditional or modern but are unable to find it anywhere else, come and shop their warehouse. You never know what you will find. I bought a 25 thousand dollar kitchen from them for under 3 thousand, Delivery included.

Deep dive into everything a home needs. Take your measurements and bring your tape measure. Excellent.

The people here will help you find what you need. There is so much here and all in pretty good shape. Last night, the guy gave us suggestions for how to cover a radiator my client didnt want to let show. Nice people here. People care about the environment here.

I went here to see if they had a reclaimed wood beam for me to use as a fireplace mantle at my house. I found a 10 ft beam 5x8" and it was the perfect piece and it was $30. Unbelievable value and variety. There is soo much to see there and unique reclaimed items to discover.

Love this place. Have never left without buying something. Good prices, for antique architectural finds.

We have been rehabbing a 93 year old house and have bought a few things here. It's hit or miss but fun to go treasure hunting. I love digging through dirty old antique shops and this is right up my alley. If you get lucky they often have whole kitchens of cabinets and gently used appliances from North Shore tear downs. Follow their Facebook page or email for deals.

I was like a kid in a candy shop. I love old things, I love reusing old things, I love refinishing old things, and this place feeds all my loves. Like a treasure trove of memories.

Over priced and very disorganized. It looks more like someone's unkept basement or garage. Also, I wanted to purchase a fireplace surround but was told a customer that buys a lot from them wanted it planned on hold for a week. I left my contact info and received a call 2 weeks later asking if I was still interested. Sadly I had already purchased one from an Etsy store. I guess holding items for certain customers just in case they want to purchase it, is more important than selling the item.

What a fantastic idea to help those who just need a start! Get vintage building supplies and hard to find things! Love it!

This place has everything you could imagine for rehabbing, repurposing or a new build. A building pickers paradise! The only downer is the woman at the front desk. Not the nicest person and definitely not willing to go out of her way for a customer. It actually seemed as though she hated her job and anyone who asked her for help. You guys might want to put a friendlier person up in front to greet customers not sneer at them as they are shopping. Place is super cool, front desk lady...not so much.

The people is very nice and polite but prices are too high sometimes same as the store or higher

If you've looked everywhere for a replacement item in your home that has been just too old or just impossible to come up with a comparable match or just looking for a good used item, you need to visit this place. I purchased 3 radiator covers that I couldn't find anywhere. Friendly, helpful staff. Great selection of slightly used everything.

My flooring contractor suggested me to go over there to find flooring planks that could match the best my really old floors for repairs. He was right and I was able to get flooring pieces that looked almost exactly the same like my old vintage floors.

I have purchased sinks, wood molding, vanities, lights, stoves, microwaves, doors, medicine cabinets for a fraction of the cost of new ones. From subzero fridges, designer cabinets to simple vanities this place has it all. I even saw one woman buy stain glass windows with wood frames -- they were beautiful. If you are rebuilding/remodeling your house and want to give it some special touches this is the place for you. If you are a remodeler, you can save a lot of money over the lower quality stuff you get at the big box stores! You can also donate items to Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse and get a tax write-off.
