Finding a new mechanic after mine retired honestly felt overwhelming… but I’m really glad I gave this shop a try.
Ryan, the technician who worked on my vehicle, did a very thorough inspection and only recommended services that I already expected would come up. No surprises, no pressure — from the start, the owner was transparent and explained everything clearly, which is really all you can ask for when trusting someone with your car and not trying to scare you into doing something that doesn't need to be done. The dealership does this all the time, and the prices here are great compared to what the dealership quoted me.
They also got me in and out quickly for an oil change and tire rotation, which I really appreciated.
I’ll definitely be coming back here for future maintenance. It’s such a relief to have found a shop I feel comfortable with again.
My service was quick & professional, as it has been here in the past. I was able to come in the same day as well, which really stood out to me, because my car was acting up and I really needed it to get checked out that same day. What also stood out was another customer being helped while I was waiting for my car: they were provided a translated list of repairs their car needed, so they could better understand, which is awesome, in my opinion.
I recently brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, everything about the visit was smooth and professional from start to finish. Instead of trying to upsell unnecessary services, they took the time to explain that my next major maintenance likely wouldn’t be needed for another 15,000 miles. That level of transparency is so refreshing and builds real trust.
The work was completed quickly and efficiently, without feeling rushed or careless. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, which made the whole experience even better. It’s not easy to find a reliable auto shop, but I’m confident I’ve found mine. I’ll be bringing both of my vehicles here for all regular maintenance and any future repairs.

I had an issue with my battery and Buffalo Grove Auto Center was jampacked but still took me in and helped me as quickly as possible. They were so kind and so helpful, especially Rylan and Roman. Brian was also amazing!!!! Great job all around. :-)
I had an oil change and tire balance done and I was so impressed with the price and speed of service. I was in and out in less than an hour. Also, they didn't try to upsell me on anything. I will definitely be returning!

I called on Friday afternoon. Brian talked with me. He said to bring the car in on Monday morning. I was unable to drive the car on Monday as my battery also went out, so I had it towed in. Brian treated me very well and even drove me to work. He got my car done by Tuesday and even waited a few extra minutes for me to get there to pick it up because I was taking a cab and was unsure of how long that would take. Overall, the service was fantastic. Friendly, professional and caring. I will definitely go back. I really appreciated what everyone there did for me to get my car working again. Thank you very much!

Excellent customer service as my car basically was not drivable in front of their shop and drove in for help. Immediate attention and left car for evaluation. Called me in 30 minutes with problem. Needing a Throttle body. Car was ready before end of day Pricing very reasonable. I will return there for any other services. Highly recommended.
This might be one of the easiest reviews I’ve ever had to write. My Mazda 6 had every warning light that turned on. The car was acting funny and I couldn’t even shut the car off. I went to car store to look at it, they were lost but sent me to a tire place. The tire place immediately recommended that I go to Buffalo Grove Auto Center. That might be the best advise I ever received. I got to Buffalo Grove Auto Center, they were close to closing. They told me I could leave the car. They helped me turn the car off. The owner Bryan even offered to give me and my six year old son a lift home. Talk about going above and beyond. The next day, Leo found the problem and he took care of it. I got my car back and I’m so happy.
The best part about this is now I feel I have a trusted auto place to go to. I spoke with Bryan about my girlfriend’s car and he told me to have her check with them before she goes to the dealership. He’s resourceful, thorough, and trustworthy. It’s nice to work with such wonderful people.
Came in for an oil change, and the mechanic urged me to replace the timing belt as routine maintenance as it can turn into a larger problem if ignored. However, what I hoped was helpful advice turned out to be incompetence at best & outright deceit at worst. My vehicle has a timing chain, not belt, which does not require any routine maintenance. I don't know if it is because I was a woman or if they just assume everyone is an idiot, but either way I will never be back & I recommend everyone else avoid this place as well.
We couldn't get the bolt off of our spare tire on our Jeep (The bolt broke when removing it from our Jeep due to someone putting Loctite on the bolt to hold it in). We brought the tire in and they were able to quickly cut off the bolt so we could change the tire, even though they were crazy busy.
Bryan and Leo are stand up guys, care about their customers, and are always willing to help! We will be back for any future car needs!
This place saved me from making a huge mistake.
To explain, I was test driving a car when I heard an odd noise coming from the engine. The car seemed great on the outside- clean, no major scratches, and a nice color. However, I knew I needed to have a mechanic look at the car first, as the car seemed too good to be true. After calling Buffalo Grove Auto Center, they were kind enough to take a look at the car within the next 15-20 minutes. I am so thankful they did as I was told promptly after the inspection to NOT buy this car. The sales person (at the car company) would have never told me the truth regarding how bad the car really was- even though it looked great on the outside.
Thank you for helping me and taking the time to look at the car! If you need someone to give you an honest answer before buying a car- go to Buffalo Grove Auto Center. Thank you again!
This is likely the second 5 star review I’ve written for this shop. Bryan has kept me updated while my car is being repaired. The new system they are using, ShopMonkey, makes viewing the invoice and paying the bill clear and I am able to look at the repairs before I go and pick up my car. A+ very honest, efficient, dependable shop
These guys are amazing. Although I don’t live in the area, I bring my car here and Bryan and the guys are always honest and take great care of me. I recommend them to my friends and coworkers; great place and fairly priced!
The customer service here is fantastic! Every time I bring my car in I get a reasonable price for the repairs and sound advice. Instead of trying to “sell” me on repairs they gave it to me straight that they would recommend trading the car in and were 100% correct. Then during my process of buying a new car they gave advice and even offered to look at any cars I was interested in purchasing.

Called in right before I needed to travel. The shop had line for service of cars in front of me. A rep reached out to each of them explaining the situation, I was out on the road in 30 minutes.
