The Best I've ever been to. Sean was the best. I searched the area and it was the only place out of 8 options that was open and they were okay with me coming in 5 minutes before close. He not only told me what was wrong but helped me walkthrough what could go wrong and how to assess it. We were only staying 1 night over and couldn't have the car worked on. Usually I've had people charge me for the smallest thing and was expecting such, but he didn't find it any bother. Wonderful customer service.

Wish I could give more stars. Sean and the kid (didn't get his name) were great. I barely made it to mccall on my way hunting. They got me fixed up quick.

They’re friendly good customer service.. tiny bit expensive. But good work.. if you ever break down in Idaho and you’re near McCall Idaho Valley auto is not a bad option. tell me if you think its expensive $3000 for a transmission plus $3000 for labor $6000 total for refurbished transmission. In a 2001 Tahoe… I do believe they’re honest I didn’t get any Bs vibes. And they were very fast and timely. They had it shipped and in the vehicle in less than two weeks… thanks guys for your timely work 🤘.

We were passing through McCall and our automatic steps on our Yukon Denali started making a horrible racket and would not come down. We tried everything we could and couldn’t get it to work so we stopped into Valley auto, and Sean spent at least 20 minutes, cleaning out the harness and getting it to stop for us as well as diagnosing our Short. He saved our sanity and they were so kind in the process. Can’t recommend them enough!

Drove in without an appointment with a battery issue and Tony looked at it immediately. 15 minutes later my battery issue was taken care of and no longer an issue. Fast, friendly and accurate service resulted in making an appointment for maintenance and repair on another vehicle.

We were in McCall for a few days from Boise when our A/C went out. We called around, even to some Boise shops and no one could get us in until next week or 2-3 weeks away. Sean and his team squeezed us in and even though they had to order parts due to a faulty thermostat, the vehicle was repaired the next day. We appreciate their honesty and quality service.

We were on a road trip, encountered some mechanical issues and went to Valley Auto. We arrived around 4pm (near the end of the day) and they were crazy busy, but still fit us in so we could get back on the road again Sean and his team were very courteous, and helpful. We were getting serviced within an hour of arriving, then one hour of service, then on the road again... all without being gouged on the fee. Huge thanks to Sean for his help and genuine care, which I observed him showing to all his customers while I was there!

Can I give them a 6 star review? These guys go above and beyond. My clutch went out in McCall on a Saturday afternoon around 330 and I was lucky enough to get my vehicle over to the shop around 4. Even though they close at 6 they put in a lot of effort just to find the hydraulic line and get it put in, saving me hundreds of dollars in hotel rooms in the process. Top notch mechanics and even better people. Thanks again for your help guys.

Sean was willing to work on our RV until 11pm on a Saturday until it was fixed up and ready to go. He went WAY above and beyond to help us out. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We were in a pinch while on a long road trip - front brakes were finally starting to act up. We had some time in McCall and happened to ring up Tony and his crew. Despite being heavily booked up, they squeezed us in that day - a Friday. They stayed right up to the end of the day for us, and even a little later after they took a test drive, weren’t quite satisfied with their own work, so they went back at adjusting one side. In the end they delivered the vehicle ahead of schedule, with repaired brakes…and they were friendly the whole time. I feel lucky if I can find a shop that treats regular local customers like that, but knowing they will likely never see us again, they went the extra mile but charged us just what I would hope. We are well-beyond satisfied!

I came here twice, maybe three times with one car, they did a great job. But after getting yelled at by one of the owners, and watching him yell at the office girl, last year, I wasn't going to go back. Got another car, and knew they were honest, so I went back. Sean is fantastic, love him.

Great guys, fantastic service, fair pricing. My brother Scott truck broke down in McCall while on a family vacation. They went the extra mile to get us back on the road in no time.

On my way to McCall this morning my Tahoe started to drive strange and eventually stopped shifting into gear. After shutting off and restarting I was able to limp it along from Cascade to McCall. I called Tony at Valley Auto and he they were super busy but if I could bring in by he’d take a look at a few things. After quickly investigating what the issue was Tony suggested to leave it with them and they’d get to it as quickly as possible. I need the transmission serviced and possibly more. Tony realized that I needed my car to make all my cleaning schedules and he rushed to service the transmission. I expected to get my car back early next week, but was able to get it back the same day. With no rental cars in Valley county, this would have significantly impacted my job. I’m so grateful for his thoughtfulness and his prompt service, I can’t say enough to truly express how I feel. THANK YOH SO MUCH for your amazing customer service Tony,

100%, best experience I’ve ever had and needed getting a last min emergency oil change done. Sean and Jesse need at least 60 day supply of beer, although Jesse might be under age. Pulling an RV from Twin Falls for a weekend trip in 100 degree heat Burt up the remaining oil life from last oil change nearly seizing my motor. I quick fixed it until I could get a fresh change by them finding out they are booked weeks out. Explained my situation and they didn’t hesitate. Also found potential brake problem that was obvious potential issue from brake work I get done at Les Schwab. Hats off to these guys on a Saturday morning in the McCall area during busy summer touring. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

These folks are great. They answer your questions honestly and give accurate quotes. This is the place to go to take care of your vehicle. Friendly and ready for some of the strange problems your vehicle may need. Seems they like a challenge and will keep you abreast of what's going on. Also the prices are fair. They actually do let you know if something is going to bump up the quote they gave you. Highly recommended!

We were here from out of state, had been on a lot of dirt roads and were concerned about the air filter. They pulled it out and it was fine, and blew the dirt out of the filter chamber and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. An honest auto repair business is hard to find! Friendly too - good people!

Thank you Holly, Sean and Tony for outstanding service when I was in need while on a recent ski trip to McCall. A long way from home stranded on the side of the road. Each contact I had with all Valley personnel was of the highest quality. They were all knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and the price for service was well within reason. I have never been more pleased with service I received. Keep up the good work!

If I could give Sean at Valley Auto in McCall, Idaho 50 stars, I would. The alternator in our Infiniti decided to fail on us while making a trek from Boise to Moscow on some college visits. Sean got a call from me late on a Friday night and said "Sure! Tow it here and I'll take care of you." An alternator on an Infiniti is not fun to get to but he "got 'r done", including diagnosing a related electrical issue and topping off our fluids. I can't say enough about Sean and I hope if you ever need anything done on your vehicle, you take it to Valley Auto in McCall. I hope I never break down 10 hours from home again but I'd be blessed if I come close to the same experience and care that Sean provided.

Sean took such great care of us when our car acted up last weekend on a trip to McCall. I could tell he was busy with a line of cars to fix before Christmas, but he patiently took the time to help us out in our predicament. Definitely eased our concerns about making it home. We had car troubles on a weekend trip to McCall and Valley Auto took great care of us. We had our car towed to their shop and they were able to fix it the next day and get us back on the road. Sean even picked me up from where we were staying and brought me back to the shop to pick up the car. They were great to work with and we were super grateful for their help!

Sean got me up and running after my car overheated this weekend after some friends and I came off a mountain hike late Saturday afternoon. He dropped what he was doing and was so knowledgeable to advise me in the moment and also diagnose some maintenance things to look into after I got home to the valley. I was with a group of ladies in McCall for the weekend and we had car issues after hiking on Saturday. We brought the car to Valley Auto (late on a Saturday afternoon even) and Sean stopped what he was doing to look at the car, check some things, run a computer check and topped off the oil. He assured us we could get safely back to Boise (which we did) and made recommendations for what needed to be done on the car in the near future. We were so relieved he was knowledgeable about the problem and went above and beyond what he needed to do. Thank you Sean! We are convinced you were our weekend angel!!

Had an alternator go out in our Jeep Wrangler. Sean was able to squeeze us in and get it up and running again even though he was scheduled out a couple weeks. Really appreciate the effort he made to get us on the road again. Thank you!

Sean and Tony did a great job getting my truck fixed up and back on the road. The issue was much more extensive than I realized and they stayed late into the night to get the job done. They were already backed up with work but they fit me in and truly cared about going above and beyond to help me. Valley Auto is excellent.

Our car broke down 15 miles out of McCall, we had to get it towed back to town on a Saturday and Sean and his Mom went completely out of their way to get us back on the road that night. Sean is very thorough and honest with his work. He told us everything he did, found, and fixed and did it in a timely matter. He could have charged us more for working on the weekend but it was a fair price. I was very impressed with the overall service and efficiency…. And it was even her birthday! You will not be disappointed with Valley Auto. If it’s broke, they will fix it!

Best experience I have ever had at an auto shop. Sean and his mother when above and beyond to take care of my family when our car broke down in McCall. Sean is an excellent communicator, skilled mechanic, efficient worker, and an honest man. He helped get my car running again and even worked after hours on a weekend to make sure we could get back on the road. Couldn’t recommend Valley Auto enough.
