First impressions was great! Place was clean and professionally organized. I was greeted by George. A very friendly and helpful individual. He got me signed up (it was my 1st time there), loaded my cans in the cart and got them weighed. He gave me my receipt and then I walked into the office to get my cash. The gentle in the office was equally helpful and polite! All in all, it was about 10 mins of my time. A very efficient operation! I'll be back!
I had went in with half a pickup load. I ended up being their for an hour and half. First the guy wanted all the aluminum first. Which, was clear at the bottom with other stuff stacked on top of it. He started pulling stuff out of my truck and scratching my paint. I already was sorting and putting stuff on the tailgate. I told him 3 times, stay out of my truck. Go get a bin. He finally got a bin and ran it right into the driver's side of my pickup. Then I had a bunch of extruded aluminum. I got informed because it bends, they will put it with the sheet metal. Which is NOT accurate. Extruded aluminum is anything ran through a die. And it pays more. I didn't just got screwed, the owner in the long run is getting screwed for the laborers not sorting metals correctly. They separated the copper and aluminum, 3 different ways. Ahh we don't pay that much for this. After they were done they'll threw it all in the same bin. I had to yell at the guy running the scale. He constantly didn't have a roll of wire all the way on the scale. I got a super tiny receipt. I can't even read. I've been to other united metals before. I've had a issue with this same location nearly 10 yrs ago! Then, they wanted to give me tin price for a bunch of white brass and electric motors. I went to the Boise United Metals and got nearly 200 for the stuff. I will not be doing business at this location again.
Dropped off some scrape metal and copper tubing.
The reciet was printed so tiny you could not read it. Had to go back in because they did not pay me for the #1 copper. The manager was acting shady like this is the norm to rip people off. Won't return. Will take my copper scrap else ware. Beware of this place.
I took my children to recycle the cans they collected from the neighbors. The staff there had them all excited about their prospects of earning money, and then paid them out. The children were over the moon.
Staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Smoky does amazing job and is always honest and fair. I went to pacific once and these guys are ten times better. Skip pacific and head on over to United metals. I come in once a week at least and they always have a smile on their face. They definitely know how to take care of customers. Really can’t say enough about these guys. Going anywhere else is a disservice to yourself.
Very helpful staff, and best prices in town! After how well they treated me, I'll be a forever customer, and try to get everyone I know to do the same. Great job guys, thank you very much.

Tristan, smokey, and issac showed upmost professionalism while helping me. I brought in a load of e scrap that was mixed, they helped me seperate it and teach me what to do next time. Love this place, love the friendly atmosphere, and it's clean. 5/5 would recommend.

I'm giving these guys a full five star rating because they truly do go above & beyond any of the other competition out there. And like I was noticing when reading others comments on your facility, I too have to say that the cleanliness of the establishment is very noticeable. If I had to make any kind of criticism it would be that they make it prudent to stick to there scheduled hours that they are open. Several times I have gotten there with a pickup bed load of scrap only to pull up and see the gates closed and pad locked, yet there is still 5 minutes left until they were technically supposed to be closed. And most recently I went on line to your website to make sure the facility was open on Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend) and it was posted closing soon 9am - 1pm. But when I pulled up in front to the scales entrance at 11:30am they were closed. Real disappointing but not the end of the world. Fortunately, what makes up for it is that the staff of employees there are very kind, professional and polite. So my point isn't to make a gripe guys, but to just be a little more attentive to the times scheduled that you have posted and to try not to deter from that.

i have come here for the past 9 months and have gotten the most honest service. there was a mistake with a converter my first time here and the second time i returned because i liked the service the mistake was made right. I also note this to be the cleanest scrap yard in the area.
Thanks for the great effort in getting my company top dollar. You really went above and beyond and that doesn't happen with every business today. I will definitely use United Metals as my constant recycling contact.
