Friday Nov 7th, we had just turned onto the highway from Challis to go to Stanley..our back drivers side tire came off..clunk where we sat. Tried to talk to a shop in Challis, they were a week put from helping us. Just at that moment Dennis from Salmon Towing just happened to drive upon us. Dennis and his friend hooked up the pickup to the Two Truck and away we went back to Salmon. Dennis had called ahead to Les Schwab and let them know what our pickup needed to be fixed. Thank you Dennis!!
After floating the Main Salmon, we arrived to the takeout to our damaged trailer that was no longer attached to our truck... Our abandoned truck was left on the side of the road by our shuttle company near Corn Creek with two flat tires. Dennis responded to our request immediately and was able to assist us quickly. He assisted with the communication with Les Schwab to get our truck repaired, which was especially helpful in an area where there is little to no cell service. We are extremely grateful for his excellent service and helping to get us home.
I rolled my truck in a bad situation on the road outside of Shoup. Dennis and his family are salt of the earth type folks. He helped me deal with the insurance, get back to town, and even waited with me while I arranged a ride.
My car broke down near Lone Pine. The insurance company referred it to Salmon Towing and Recovery. Dennis gave me a call very quickly and even though this definitely wasn't the closest tow company the insurance could have sent, I'm so glad they did. Dennis was right on time for his ETA, he was familiar with the area and knew a realistic ETA from there, he treated me and my friends so well, and got us safe and sound to the right spot.
Car broke down on the way out of a Middle Fork of the Salmon trip. It was located about 25 miles outside of Salmon on Forest Service road. Dennis and Matt left at 9:30 that night to recovery my vehicle and raft trailer. Dennis not only towed it to a mechanic but alerted them to the problem and they were ready for me the next morning. Thanks to Dennis we were back on the road by 1:00 p.m.! 5 star rating is not high enough!
I believe the gentleman's name is dennis that helped us after my uncle was involved in an accident. Him and his crew did a fabulous job of recovering everything that was thrown from the truck and when it was time to go pick up the items he was more than willing to help where he could.
After driving 2 hours down a dirt road to Corn Creek for a Main Salmon float, I realized at the put-in that my raft trailer had blown an axle. I was leaving the next day and trailer had to get back to Salmon to get repaired before it was picked up by the shuttle driver. Luckily I found a phone and called Dennis. He was incredibly helpful, cool, and calm. We arranged for him to pick it up the next day to take it to be repaired. His price was very fair and the trailer was fixed. While hunting in October of 2019 my truck slipped sideways on a gumbo mud road, while already in 4-wheel drive and chains all around. I was seriously stuck, miles from pavement. Dennis showed up early the next morning with his tow truck and made a challenging recovery look easy. I hope to never need off-road recovery again, but if I do, Dennis is the guy I'll call.
