I appreciate Robin working with me when the office was closed due to the weather and being accommodating with the pick up. However, after getting my car back, it reeks of cigarettes and there is cigarette ash on the dash and in the back of the vehicle. This vehicle is used for work and now I will be parked till I can remove the cigarette smell and ash.
I had a great experience buying a car here. Shawn, who I worked with through the car-buying process, was a prompt and clear communicator, open about the car's known issues, was able to accommodate my schedule for test drives and an inspection, patient with my never-ending questions, and even offered to personally help replace a few parts. I will definitely be checking in with Shawn next time I'm in need of another car.
I'm a 53-year-old woman on SSIBought a PT from a gentleman named Joe a vet, I went to his house in Boise where the 2003 p.t. was parked,paid 2,200$ in April and its been in the shop 3 times and is the most useless car I've EVER HAD. HE SAW ME COMING. I had a small settlement to spend and by me a reliable car.im broke living on fixed income and I got Duked.lemon!!now it sits and I walk everywhere. A man named Joseph James Perry said he had his dealer's license and he owned a lot called Gates Auto with the address of this Gates and Associates. He ended up filling out the paperwork for the car with Gates Auto as the dealer and that he was just the Salesman. This dealer verbally told me over messenger that this was a good car and it was under blue book for a fair price for this car, but it was sold to me with the transmission going out. In person a lady buying another car asked if there were issues if he would take it back which he said no this is an as is sale but if there were something very seriously wrong he would because it's his reputation on the line and it would be bad for business. Literally the day after I bought it, it started having issues shifting into gear and the check engine light turned on for an oxygen sensor that was not working. When I went into AutoZone to have it tested to see what was wrong with it I got back that it was the oxygen sensor, but I also said it was having issues shifting so I was concerned it was the transmission which the worker said that there's no way a dealer and mechanic would ever sell somebody a car with a transmission that wasn't working because they would have to take it back in the end. He said sometimes Nissan's run a bit differently and sometimes shifts later than some other cars. I later took it into a mechanic after it wouldn't accelerate across a very high speed and busy intersection and I just putted across narrowly escaping an extremely dangerous car accident. The mechanic said it was obvious that in addition to the oxygen sensor needing to be replaced the transmission was also bad and would cost $2,900 to $4,200 which is more than I paid for the car. This is something any mechanic and dealer would need to know about before selling a car to someone. I kept in touch with this dealer after I bought it because it was having issues right away, he assured me it was fine, but when I told him the transmission was bad and I would need my money back he stopped all communication.
STOLE MONEY FROM ME!! PICKED UP CAR, DID NOT KNOCK, NEIGHBOR SAW THEM GOING THRU MY CAR, I TROED TO ATIP TO ALLOW ME TO GET THINGS BUT WAS IGNORED!!! NOTTIN LINE THE COMPANY STOLE CASH FROM ME!! I CALLED DISPATCHER IMMEDIATELY AND THEY DIDNT ANSWER THEN GAVE EXCUSE THST THEY DIDNT BE EXTRA VIGILANT BC THEY DIDNT LISTEN TO MESSAGE BEFORE, TRIED TO SAY THERE WASNT A BANK ENVELOPE IN THE CAR BUT THERE WAS IN KY BELONGINGS!!! IRONIC??? DISHONEST PEOPLE!!!!
