The collector today could have driven by because my bin wasn’t on the curb. Instead, while I watched sick in bed, the driver exited the vehicle and placed my bin where it could be loaded, and dumped it for me ! I am so pleased to see such excellent customer service! Janet Kopplow

Haven't had any issues and they are consistent with their pickups. They missed mine one day and I called the office and they sent someone right out. Definitely recommend!

I’m really happy with this company. They have provided great service. My can was skipped by accident today and they came back and emptied it. Very pleased with them!

We signed up with these guys roughly 4 months ago. They never show up at a consistent time. We have noticed because we feel we have to be close because this is what happens every week. Needless to say I am canceling my service. It much easier to haul it to recycling then to pick it up across my neighborhood weekly. Also, I would not put a post without first reaching out to them. We have called them multiple times about the situation and if anything it has gotten worse!

It was nice while it lasted. Good lucking finding somewhere that recycles more than glass.

June 2024 - All bins were gone at Western Recycling. No posting anywhere of where to recycle. There is a notice on line that Idaho Falls will not recycle as of Jan 2024. Bins have been removed at various Idaho Falls locations.

Facilty is closed down and will be bulldozed. Will not be reopening as Republic bought them out last November

These guys have been on time every time, Even the mandatory one day after holiday times. I like that it's convenient and I like that I can recycle. And, your prices are good. Please don't change that

No more plastic recycling? The ONE thing that desperately needs to be recycled!?!? Why are you even in the recycling business??

They take for ever to load trucks, they need to go to Boise location and get trained. This has to be the worst western recycling I’ve been to extremely unprofessional. Lazy is to good a word.

AWESOME! So happy for a friendly recycling center. Dawn, in the office, is the best. And one of the guys always comes and helps me unload the car. These folks are the BEST!

Have made payments but they are not showing up on their bad website. Threatening collections.

I am giving five stars because these guys take everything. My God, even plastic.

I have had several times that my bin was not emptied on the designated day. This week was no exception. My driveway is totally cleared, my bin has been full for 2 weeks. We put the bin out on the 21st of December, and it was emptied. We put it out on the 4th of January, and it was skipped. When I called to have them empty it, I was told that last week was the time to put it out and no one will be here to empty it until next week. I am done!!! I pay 3 to 6 months at a time, and what they are doing with their scheduling is idiotic!! Before I hung up the phone, I told their "customer service" person, to send someone to pick up their bin. I am through messing with them!!! No stars, if I could!!

I like this place but their truck drivers needs to work having patients and not honking their Horn whenever they want to when at stop lights.

Canceling services. For years, all was fine with regular pickup until recently. No need to pay for nonexistent services.

I was sitting in a marked parking space in my car the other morning with one of my kids in a school parking lot, waiting to pick up my other child, when a Western Recycling truck pulled into the lot. The driver pulled the truck towards my car and backed up. Since a lot of service trucks come into that lot all the time and usually go down towards the other end, I didn't think anything of it. We were only going to be there for a couple of minutes anyway, so I kept watching for my kid. But then, the Western Recycling driver pulled forward again and kept getting closer and closer to my car until he was dangerously close. He then started to raise and lower the truck's arms at us in a threatening manner and gesture and yell angrily. He pulled forward and back several more times and repeated the angry behavior, even laying on the truck horn long and loud and disrupting staff and students while school was still in session. His continued harassment of us and out-of-control behavior were making me nervous for not only my and my older child's safety, but especially for my younger child who would be coming from the school and into the lot at any moment. There was NO way I was moving my car since, 1) I was in the marked parking spot I had specifically been told to park in weeks ago by school staff, and 2) I did not want to lose sight of my child or leave her wandering the parking lot trying to find us with this company's driver moving the truck forwards and backwards and behaving so aggressively and dangerously towards us. I realize Western Recycling drivers probably run on a set schedule, but in my book, safety and respect for others come FIRST. At the very most, this driver was delayed only ~60 seconds between the time he started acting like a total creep to us and the time my child got in the car and we left. If that guy were one of my employees, he'd 100% be fired on the spot. And if he can't control himself or treat others any better than that, then he shouldn't be out on the roads and definitely shouldn't be driving around schools. Road rage has led to so many tragic incidents that there is no way I'd want a hot-headed bully like that out representing my company in any capacity. I have lodged a complaint with Western Recycling and was told the info would be forwarded to their HR department for further evaluation. I certainly hope that wasn't just talk and that they actually discipline this employee. In the meantime, this traumatic experience has completely soured me on having anything to do with Western Recycling...hence the single star.

I did find it hard when they raised their prices but it is still a great company with great people

Glad to find a convenient (near Walmart) recycling place that takes most everything (except glass). Don't use their curbside service but at $7 a month really seems like a bargain.

I had to regularly call to have my recycling picked up. I paid for a service that I did not receive regularly. When I called to cancel they did not care at all that they were losing a customer.

We did curbside recycling for a year and half. We loved this service and being able to recycle conveniently. We had no issues with western recycling until 4 months ago. They simply stopped coming to our house. I would call the next day to let them know and they sent a truck out a few days later. This became the norm. I got tired of paying for a service that I was not receiving. Very disappointed. When we canceled this service, they said the owner would be contacting us to ask about our experience. We never heard anything. Hoping for a better curbside recycling company in the near future.

As a truck driver not to bad to get Loaded. Just no scale on site for big trucks. So have to get a Mty scale weight and then get a loaded. Other then they are friendly and professional.

I've been to Western Recycling a couple of times and Pacific Recycling many times. Today's visit to Western Recycling was to deposit some aluminum cans. It started out not overly friendly, but OK (can't be the funnest place to work, so I don't expect much). After weighing the cans and returning to the front office for payment, attitude went down hill sharply - to a level I've rarely experienced as a customer. I asked why the ticket read 20 pounds when the weigh-in was over 40 pounds. Turns out there was a simple explanation, but because I had the gall to ask, two employees came unglued. I couldn't believe it. I'm sure I wasn't cheated and tried to get a word in to explain I wasn't accusing anyone of anything. I just wanted an since basic information. After I said, "OK I get it now," I was curtly handed my $5.40 from a still fuming clerk who was no longer speaking or looking at me. I'll be going to Pacific Recycling from now on.

Great. Love the convenience of walking my bin to the curb instead of having to save it up and drive it to a recycling center.
