Took my Ford Ranger to him after 2 years of mechanic's and he had everything fixed in 2 days. I'm so blessed for the referral to go to Alan's Automotive in Blanchard, Idaho. Prices were cheaper than expected and I'm very pleased. You have to be patient with telephone calls though, family business and no secretary! I just planned on 2 weeks an drove very slowly out to the business - left a note of my info and what was wrong and left in the driver's seat.
Front end had to rebuilt within a month of them rebuilding it. I didn't want to leave a bad review cause I figured it was a mistake and everyone has a bad day but the poor customer service has made me come to this .don't recommend never will

Alan is the rare mechanic-not only is he honest, but he is a mechanical genius! Just ask him I have given him some of his biggest headache vehicles to work on! He has always figured out the problem and fixed it! He is my main go to mechanic, even when I have a ? On a DIY mechanic job- he is a Saint explaining the steps to take so this YouTube screwdriver mechanic gets it! Lol,yep, a saint!I ?but,as his reputation has been more known, he has gotten busy, w/,no room to leave a vehicle and having to wait for 1 to go out to make room. But if it's a non emergency- mine are always ASAP jobs, only 1 rig for work transportation, it'd be worth the wait, setting an appt date and time to make sure it gets in! He is that good? he also is a hunter so hunting season it takes longer so he can go fill his families freezer! Pricing is better than most area mechanics as well.
Very professional and caring. Brought my Suzuki in with a coolant leak, Alan took the time to diagnose the problem even though they were already very busy. He got parts ordered and got me on the schedule to get it fixed. Was very aware of my situation as I was staying in an RV park and this was my only transportation as I live 1300 miles from here.
I don't know a mechanic more honest or fairly priced. I won't go anywhere else, even though I have friends with their own shops. Alan's is my first choice every time.
Alan is very honest, I've gone in several times prepared for needing a large amount of work done only to have him tell me it was something much smaller/less expensive required.

My truck AC was not working and I had to tow a large trailer on a family trip through the desert. I was concerned I would not find a mechanic who could help me or that I was looking at a big bill. Alan's found the problem right away. A $20 connector. He charged me for the part and a small fee for a quick install. I cannot thank him enough. He was extremely honest and really helpful and my family safely made it to our vacation destination with ice cold air blowing when it was 114 outside. I would recommend Alan's to everyone in the area that is looking for someone to help them.

Had a drive line go bad in August, he replaced it and 100 miles later it went bad again. He said he put a pin in wrong and damaged the yoke and new driveline. so he warrantied it, one hundred miles later it failed again and he charged me $400.00 for new ujoints that were only 300 miles old, and only failed because the driveline was shaking so bad. I paid but was upset but happy to have the issue solved now it's been 100 miles and my drive line went out again. Cheap parts cost me 1700.00 since August it's now Thanksgiving. I'll be going somewhere else from now on.
Alan is the best man for this field. There have been countless times he has properly diagnosed our vehicles the first time, unlike many places that charged us for the completely wrong thing. Alan is thorough and does the best most honest work. Fair prices and you can't go wrong choosing his shop!

The amount of integrity shown by this shop has been second to none in all of our experiences. To be able to take your vehicle in and get exactly what the vehicle needs and know that the owner will not overcharge or take advantage. He stands by his work and does an amazing job.
