I make it a point that if I am in the area to stop by and grab a couple things. They are so nice and they have some of the coldest beer I've ever purchased.
Awesome stop in an awesome town, staff (possibly Donna herself?) were awesome to talk to, prices were also surprisingly reasonable considering where this place actually is, five stars without a doubt.
What a wonderful little stop with an incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming owner. If you wander you way into Placerville, definitely stop by. Good selection of drinks and good and very reasonably priced, especially given locationaly it is pretty remote. Will definitely stop by again in the summer.
Nice little grocery store up in the middle of the woods. Prices are very reasonable for the location and the rough roads that have to be traveled to get there! They had a really nice selection of different foods and other goods, all in a historic building. Definitely worth stopping in and getting and Henry Weinhardts old fashioned soda!
Great little Market! They have a bit of everything you need. Prices aren't extravagant either. Very fair based on how far they have to transport everything. Stop by if you are in the area to help support a small business!
Nothing will ever be as memorable as Henreitta's (RIP) penny candy, post office, store and pot bellied stove.
Love having this convenience in this tiny community. They have it. Love the sound of the old wooden floors and the smell of fresh coffee. Great stop on a trip in, or a trip through. Stop here. Spend your money. Get your drinks and chips @ Donna's.
My son and I took a drive to Idaho city and stopped for n lunch at Donna's, aka Seasons, and we were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the new server. An older gentleman who was passing through Idaho and Donna's hired him! Such a gentleman and an excellent chef! Thank you for the delicious Club sandwich and French Dip yesterday. The food added such a great touch to our day trip!
I was there for a few days a little over 5 years ago. Just another utility guy passing through. It was the most pleasant town I had seen in over 25 states, and hundreds of small towns. I read the reviews today and it seems the town has not changed.
Such a nice treat to have in a small mountain community. Skip tries to keep a little bit of everything on the shelf just in case you run out and if you are a regular shopper and would like to see something on the shelf that isn't all you have to do is ask.
This place is awesome. It stocks a lot of basics in a small space. It's a great place to stock up for a bikepacking trip. There is also a pizza oven and microwave oven you can use to heat up food that you buy there.
We had a great time & found lots of snacks for our 12 hr road trip. The Mayor was working @ Donna's that day & shared us some of the facts & history of the area. Store was immaculate. The fire station had a fridge outside filled with water bottles. The sign stated ... stay hydrated ... free water.

We wondered into Placerville a couple of weeks ago. What a quaint little town. Population 53, I believe. The store/City Hall was an awesome old building. Mr. Mayor was there to greet us. ?
I highly recommend shopping there. (It’s your only option) ???
This is a great little store and the people who run it are fantastic if you get a chance to go up to Placerville make sure you go in and say hi to the people at the store
Donna's place is the perfect small town store, the employees are friendly and helpful, they have a great selection of merchandise and on somedays you can catch Skip and have him autograph the book he has for sale in the store.
Very nice little store with quite a good selection of snacks and other items. The owners were very friendly and offered sage advice about which route to take back to Boise and where to look for interesting sites. Only about 90 minutes or so from Boise, this is a fun trip for families or anyone wanting some scenic views.
Great selection for a small place out in the middle of the mountains. They have free coffee and a deck with benches out front to enjoy the morning. Loved it.
Cool place to stop and get some refreshments in the mountains. A step back in time and a beautiful drive. Prices are very reasonable on everything in the store.
Donna and the locals are very friendly. I was just riding through, so my stay in Placerville was short and sweet, but I would be happy if I ever get to go through there again. Donna's carries the essentials and a little more. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the place given the population of the area. There is absolutely no reason not to stop here if you're ever just "on your way through".
Beings that Placerville is in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, it's nice that there is a place like this to buy essentials without having to drive all the way into Idaho City. Inwas expecting it to be a bit larger inside with a larger selection of product, but I guess they make due with the space they have. Could use a better selection of beer though :)
