Found a kids ski jacket and brought it up to pay for it. The girl who works there took the jacket and said it was mislabeled because it's a ski jacket and we need to reprice it so we can't sell it to you until we reprice. And she couldn't reprice it today. I believe she just saw it and wanted to bring it home to her kids at that price. Waste of time and rude support.

I had visited this store a couple weeks ago and wrote a review but noticed it never posted so I’m re-doing it. Shady and dishonest employee/s My experience was not good here. I purchased a few items and then left. Not too long after, I realized I had left my phone there so I returned and asked the gal at the front if someone had turned one in and she said no. I went to the only spot I possibly would have set it down and it was not there. They gave me the store phone and I called myself a few times but couldn’t hear the ring go off (my volume was on). I asked if they’d let me know if someone returned it and they said yes but didn’t even ask for my info. They didn’t offer to help at all either. I finally told them it was pinging there and finally the gal (Sophie) reached through the threshold into the other room and grabbed my phone off the shelf. She then proceeded to tell me someone had just turned it in, even though I had been standing by the counter the whole time and no one walked up. My sister called to tell the manager of the shady dishonesty and she said it was my fault for misunderstanding…. There was nothing to be misunderstood. Sophie was dishonest and the manager didn’t care. It seemed to me they were hoping I’d give up on searching for it.

The front cashiers were very friendly and polite. The store had the bathroom which was very cleaned and big enough for handicapped wheelchairs.

This place is washed. Has a previously earned reputation as a great mountain town thrift, but now it’s a tourist trap with legitimately outrageous prices.

These guys are pretty easy to work with, i have a great relationship with them and they have good prices considering the quality.

Went on a Tuesday it seemed very busy for being a Tuesday. I found a pair of shoes and my husband found a pair of shoes but other than that we didn't find much. I was hoping for a larger jewelry selection with more medium to low prices they seem to have a lot of designer clip on earrings but not many necklaces or anything else. The prices on the jeans seem kind of high comparative to some other places. But I appreciate my purchase supporting the library..

I appreciate that the Gold Mine exists here in town, but, what's the point anymore when everything is priced so egregiously? Prices in this town are so, so in your face for a local, in an already dismal economy. You'd think the local thrift store would know what people are going through, and not charge $60 for a used jacket, $50 for used shoes..! They're out of touch and part of the problem. No resident, student, or local business discount. What a disappointment. Money from purchases go to funding a gorgeous library, but with "cultural events" that remain out of touch. Enriching lectures that take place when we're all working, and/or struggling, really miss the mark. Who do you serve, Community Library? Want to love you, but wouldn't it be better to give back to your community in a more tangible way? Ultimately, if you're looking for a fun, realistic thrifting experience, The Attic in Hailey was a pleasant surprise and something I look forward to supporting.

Unfortunately the gold mine has sprinted down hill in recent years, and is a shell of what once really was a gold mine. The desk staff are typically friendly but the management is unpleasant and delusional. It’s common place to find items that cost as much or more than new. Bringing it up (such as finding the item new online to point out the mistake) is only met with attitude and condescension. It’s both tacky & disappointing that a thrift store (where things are donated for free) that supports such an awesome community resource is subject to such greed. Another victim to the ever degrading landscape & culture of our town. Do better.

Their music CDs are only 50 cents. Some of their clothing seems pricey, I saw a sweater for $43 dollars. Although the quality was good, that's too much for a thrift store. Overall good selection. Don't shop here for real bargains.

Take the price they charge on eBay for an item, then add 50 to 100 bucks to it. That's generally how things are priced. However, you might get lucky from time to time with a mispriced item. At least the thrift shop in Jackson hole charges reasonable thrift shop prices.

Certainly well sorted with all kinds of used items. Although they are more expensive (than Ebay), must of their items are in good condition. Great for those looking for skiing items and clothing.

Very clean and inviting store with several updates and improvements made over the years. Also, believe it or not, this thrift store's prices are actually WAY better than one thrift shop down in Hailey. I will gladly make the drive through construction and traffic to shop at this affordable thrift shop in such a beautiful location. Thank you Gold Mine!!

Been going here for decades, but it has now gotten quite expensive ...like a used man's shirt for over $20! Used to buy a Patagonia sweatshirt here for less than that. Better to go to one of the closeout stores like Marshalls, TJ Max, Bealls, etc.

I love this thrift store but it is getting way over priced. I was in the store yesterday and looked at three pieces of clothing. ALL were over $20 and NOT new. I love that the money funds the library, but this store is becoming a “thrift store for the rich”. I want to keep shopping here but on a teacher’s salary I cannot. Please keep in mind that people that live here also shop here, and not everyone makes six digits. Update. Have gone back in a few times and have asked at least three times for them to reconsider the price. Tonight I was with my friend and she asked about $100 pair of boots. She was brushed off with “No, they are new and I’m sure they looked them up so we won’t go down.” Hmmmmm. I stand by my first review. Thrift store for the Rich and famous. 3-13 Last Update- never going back. Need new management.

What’s not to like about the Gold Mine! I’m 62 years old and have been going there since I was eight years old… 1968! I guess I’ve always liked bargains! Prices at the gold mine have increased significantly since the beginning of 2022 but they have much more staff, the store is better organized and they have more stuff… So it’s a good trade off.

Outstanding variety and well-merchandised. Customer service is stellar and staff/management happy to reduce rices for unseen damages. I will return often and tell everyone to support this shop and the library!

Decent deals that I saw for the most part like a $39 yakima bike rack that's on Amazon for 3x+ Hardcover books for $2, DVDs a bit over priced at $3, but some Disney still worth grabbing for that. Largest used bike selection I've seen, less than new cost but none that made them irresistible to buy. Fun staff playing music related to closing up for the day, lol. I'll be back!

While this thrift store is higher priced than most, it was really fun to look at everything and find nicer things you rarely or if ever find at a thrift store. We went almost an hour after opening and it was very busy. I definitely recommend going right at open if you want to go here, as to not miss any thing you might find. The staff was very nice in answering all my questions. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

While we have in the past enjoyed going to the goldmine while visiting the area with my family we were told we could not shop here because of a “man made mask policy.” If you are truly sorry you would not have a mask policy and allow the general public to decide what is best for themselves. We will not bow down to the ill-gotten authorities of man! We are freemen. Washed by the blood of Christ! If you have not realized by now the charades going on then this “pandemic” will not be over anytime soon.

A little pricey for secondhand, but only the higher quality items. This store is filled with great outdoor activity clothing for skiing, hiking, biking, running, scuba diving - anything you’d want to do outside! Their collection of gorgeous 90’s items with great fabrics is not to be missed. We understand why this place is called the goldmine, as we felt as the gold miners must have amongst these nuggets of textile bliss!

Dude Report: My wife and her friend like this place. we usually stop here every time we are in the area. For dudes, they offer a single chair in front of the walk way. it works well for patiently waiting for the loved ones to “shop”. within 20 paces to the left of the store, a nice picnic table is perfectly placed to take a load off and people watch! It would have earned a five, but only having one chair out in front of the store was concerning. what if there was another dude waiting for his loved one to go in. that can make for an awkward staring contest.

This is a cute little thrift shop with lots of variety! I found some really nice brands, but they do charge a little more than an average thrift shop. However I found nicer quality pieces than normal, so I'd expect to pay a little more for Patagonia, LLBean, Lands End (all of which I saw plenty of). Proceeds go to the local library. Definitely worth a quick visit if you like to thrift!

We've got some good cross country ski equipment here! My wife loves the kids books and comes frequently to see what's new. They have seasonal outdoor products like biking shoes and jerseys in the summer and skis in the winter. Tons of clothing for men and women.

Has a great variety of mountain related things (ski equipment, warm clothes, etc.). Definitely a wealthy person's thrift store though, where you can find a coat that was $200 new for $50. Like it's a good deal given the quality, but $50 for a used coat is still a lot of money. I guess if you needed ski gear this would be better than buying new.

Not for helping the poor community. A place for rich people to buy more things from other rich people. Used jackets for $54. Books for $40. It used to be great but they’ve become greedy with their prices. I’ve never been to a more expensive thrift store. As a farmer, I cannot afford to shop here. Lower your prices!! Give poor people a place to shop.
