Bad experience I had aluminum rim which is 25 cents a pound the internet said places are giving70 cents a pound and I had a regular aluminum scrap and they only gave me 15 cents a pound that should have been more like 40 cents a pound good ways to rip you off
This was my first and last time. Their rate is low. Copper 1 only if its a new pipe, clean inside and outside. How is that supposed to make sense? So, they took my copper 1 as copper 2.
The office guy took my driver's license walked away, went inside the office and took forever to come out, I had to knock the door to get my doc back, kind of weird way to handle others people document.
This is the closest place from where I leave, but isn't worth. I should of check the reviews first. Lesson learned, never again... ?

Worst place ever!!!they wouldn't even weigh my copper. I'm so offended. told me they don't take old copper pipes, shiny wire, or insulated wire before i had it out of the car they told me no. and then i asked why.. they said they just don't.
Service was fast and friendly, I was surprised that the receiving staff assisted with off loading my receyclleables including glass bottles and large bags of aluminum cans, I will use them again
I feel bad when I go there. my hatch can't open bcuz the hinge is rusted, so I have to pre inform them they gotta remove my recyclables thru the back passenger door. but no complaints or annoyed looks are given. I FOUND MY FOREVER HOME for my recyclables. grateful for their existence, their service, their respect and I would wait in line even if I was the line was hella long.
Yesterday was my first trip to Waipahu Recycling..and had a great experience! They were well-staffed and the process was very streamlined. Having a notary on site is a huge bonus (for recycling copper). Will definitely return ????
Very slow, then when you get to the front of the line you are rushed!! Then at cashier counter, the two ladies there are down right really RUDE!!! I feel like I was ripped off the amount I received for the amount I took in was way less!!! I got more at Waikele recycling!!! I know I was given the wrong amount and when I questioned it the ladies was so RUDE!!! Their system is slow and not very efficient and not reliable!!! Never ever again!! This place is terrible and a rip off!!’ Beware!!
I return a lot of beer bottles, weekly, from a bar that I work at to waipahu recycling. I bring on the average 30 to 50 cases every week.The reason I go there is not just because the service is fast and efficient, but the workers there are very polite and they treat me with the utmost respect . I highly recommend this place
I've been to two other locations and those two were definitely a smaller scale where I could park my car and separate my plastics and bottles and then weigh them. This one is a larger recycling center where there were at least 8 workers. As I pulled up to the location, I noticed everyone in front of me already had their plastics and cans separated with the workers ready to go and nowhere to park. Since I only had 2 big bags, I was able to separate them while I waited in line in my car. Once it was my turn, the workers were pretty quick and I felt the amount I was given was better than the other locations.
had leftover copper pipes,fittings from my house..I got way more than I thought I would..AND they had a notary..they unloaded everything,did the notary, cut me a check

It has been a while since I have been to this recycling center and things have changed. I feel bad because I was not prepared and did not have all my recycling separated which does make sorting a lot longer. I understand that they have the staff there but to have things run quickly, it is better that I do my part to separate my recycling and now I know. They people were nice and assisted us and reminded us that because they have been so busy they are asking for people to have things separated. I was very happy with my visit today. Planning on going back with my separated recyclables.
Just took a HUGE load of more than 20 bags unsorted & the guy working was super friendly of how we should go about sorting them so we can get the process going faster.
Drove in, waited for about 10 minutes & finished unloading/cashing out in 15 minutes. Great, fast-paced service!

are absolutely helpful nice and always
with a smile on their face.
Although the setting is not so pretty
they make my visit there pleasant.
Recycling is a very dirty JOB but they
make it worthwhile

I read some other positive reviews before coming to this place. I like it because it's very organized. Decent amount of return fund. I don't expect to get rich out of recycling items that are useless. Before I used to get mad that I didn't get the whole amount of of the recycling fees they charging us at the stores. But then I realized that recycling centers gotta pay they employees, their overhead costs and among other fees. This place is really legit. After they weighted the items, they print out the itemized receipt of what we brought. Workers there work hard and are helpful. I don't think they intentionally cheat the people because they don't own the company. What's there for them to gain if they rip people off? Plus I also like the fact that we are not require to remove all the bottle caps as long as we don't cheat by trying to add water in the bottles to add more weight. Getting a little bit of money back and ♻️ is better than getting nothing back and pollute the environment.
The best service you can receive at a redemption center. Pull up and they take your sorted recyclables, bags and all. They ask you to pull forward. And then you go and collect your cash. No sorting in trash cans. No standing in line. I live on the Windward side but need to go to Waipahu once a week. And they didn't close today because of the impending hurricane. The one I normally go to closed. Even though they normally are open on Sundays. ???
Fantastic they do it all for you. Get your car in line, drive up they take your bags out separate them, weigh them. You walk to the counter Sign and they give you the money! So easy!??
This location people need to watch the workers and if you think they missed or anything SAY SOMETHING because they don't always weigh all your recycle. I had a whole bag go unaccounted for but couldn't do nothing cause they already threw it in
I live out on the North Shore. We have a recycling place in Haleiwa, but I would use the extra gas to drive out to Waipahu every single time. Your customer service is so much better than the service we have in Haleiwa!!! And they're open 7 days a week. I've told all my friends and family about you guys, and we all agreed that you guys are awesome. Keep up the great work and great , friendly customer service, and you'll have lifetime customers for sure!!!
Waited in line today for 20 minutes, only to be turned away for having some bags mixed with can and plastic.. Been turning in my recyclables to them for a couple of years and never been turned away. That was the excellent service I grown accustom to. Wll not anymore.
First I went VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY DID EVERYTHING! I JUST PULLED UP, I OPENED MY TRUNK, THEY GOT ALL MY BAGS OUT, EVERYTHING WAS WEIGHED, WENT TO THE WINDOW, I GOT MY MONEY!! FAST EASY AND FRIENDLY! I WILL BE GOING AGAIN!! STAY BLESS!!
My first time there today and it couldn't have went any better. The speed and quality of their service was outstanding. There's another recycler near my home that literally drove me away with thier poor service. I have found a new home for our recyclables!
It was my first time to recycle and it was surprisingly fast, excellent customer service and very friendly staff. I will take all my recycling needs to Waipahu Recycling.
