Cool and secluded black sand beach.
It's about a 15 minute walk over lava rocks to get there, so not suitable for mobility challenges or small children. Where appropriate footwear.
Hike to get there but secluded, warm water, and (best part) some nice shade for a picnic. Not a fine sand (course larger grains) and steeper walk into water. Worth it once but won't repeat.
This is a fantastic, beautiful, isolated, black sand beach on the North Kona coast. The only way in is via boat or a difficult jeep trail across raw pahoehoe lava. There are four or five great camping sites. You must bring in everything because there are no accommodations.
Black sand beach. You will have to hike about 15 minutes on rocky lava to get to the beach. So wear sturdy shoes. Very secluded and private. Great snorkeling. A cute swing at the end of the beach. Worth the hike.
