Stopped in the evening of Wednesday, May 20th because I needed Gorilla Tape. Checked at Malama and they didn't have. Decided to try O'Reilly for the first time.
I was greeted when I came in. Explained what I needed. He showed me right where the tape was in Aisle 4.
I thought the two guys working there yesterday evening (May 20th before closing) were very helpful.
So happy they opened a store in Pāhoa!
While sometimes I have had issues with receiving the incorrect part that seems more like a system problem than one with the staff.
Chris is especially helpful and knowledgeable! Most of the staff is extremely kind and helpful. I only say most since I have yet to meet them all.
Again super happy I no longer have to go to Hilo, and that they are all extremely personable.

Jimmy, an employee at the Pahoa O'Reilly shop, helped us recommend & replace a car battery, fixed a problem with the electrical connection, & helped with everything necessary to get the car running. Don't go here unless you have to, they are totally clueless. They told us" part will be there by 12pm"and then when 12 rolls around they say part is there so we drive to pick it up not only is the part not there it's not even available even at the main store in Hilo where they said it was going to come from. Go to pahoa Auto parts or any other parts store in Hilo, you'll have much better results. Better to just go somewhere besides O'Reilly's Auto parts they are clueless.
Called to confirm they could test and install new car battery if I needed to buy one. They checked if mine was in stock, no problems. I drove down there, Mark helped me and it was done. Mahalo! 🤙
We love this location because they always answer their phone! Service is prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. This O'Reilly is now our "go-to" autoparts store. So glad to have them in Pahoa!
Have no issue with the store. I would give them a five but one guy at the counter talked to him over the phone. He said he could match the price with AutoZone and then I came to get the part and he wouldn’t match the price anymore. So I would say customer service sucks.

O'Reilly's is a great place to get parts. all of the staff are very kind and professional. If you're having difficulty ask for Mario and he goes the extra mile to be helpful.

My car battery died at McDonald's and I went over to O'Reilly's next door where Mario helped me jump my car. And it cost nothing! Mario rocks and O'Reilly too
The salesman name is Dayton and he was the worst salesman by far since I've been 10 years in Big Island. He told me he was the supervisor of pahoa O'Reilly's branch. However, he was a very new to me. I've been there several times for my f150 truck, Honda Fit, and Honda Shadow vt650 motorcycle since they opened. I wish I could write what a happened but I tried to write but I have limitations of explaining in English. I'm not a fluent English speaker. I'm better in speaking but not in writing. I ended up bought engine oil and filter without any help or idea what could be reasons so I felt like he was treated me as leave or take and he could say and do whatever he wants because he was supervisor.
I ordered a part at 8am, they brought it from Hilo by 10am. They let me cancel that order which saved me over $100 and they're tool rentals are super legit!!!
The service is bad. Its like they dont wanna help you. And their prices are ridiculous. 75 for a Wheel/Bearing assembly, i got it for 45 eBay brand new. I never go to O'Reilly unless i need to take a pic of what i need, then i order it lol. But 3 positive stars from me. Aloha
Usually has what you need and or will order it for you. They give a generous military discount. And employees at this store were quick to help answer my questions and point me to the items I was looking for. Thanks O’Reilly Auto Parts.

I was helped this morning with a dead battery and I want to thank Gia for her help. The best think about her is her cheerful attitude.
I was stuck and frustrated and she cheered me up and helped me get back on the road
O'Reilly Auto Parts is a good place for parts, but the phone is always ringing, and the staff is overworked. I prefer to support small businesses. I hate to see them competing with Pahoa Auto Parts open 7 Daze a week.
I do like that everything is clearly priced and well organized. I didn't like the rep who was pretending to shoot himself or bang the phone as he chatted with a difficult customer. All in all glad there's another place for parts...not to happy they got puna kai.
