They are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Since I’m not a car enthusiast, they were very understanding of how challenging it was for me to explain my issue to them.

They've been there forever and their eccentric and local a good vibe a great place to get Auto Parts

Still the best auto parts store on east side of hawaii even though they built a brand new autozone in hilo. Always friendly people and I get what i need.

I've been in here a couple of times. Mr. Mike Baxter was very helpful with what I needed. Not only does he know about the products, he also gave good information on how to use it.

I've been buying parts for Puna cars n trucks from pahoa auto parts for 25 years and Mike n Brody always have taken care of me. It's ALWAYS my first stop to shop for auto parts.

Customer service needs to be trained on how to speak with other people especially customers. I called over the phone and the response was like calling my mean brother. I've never been in this store and don't plan on ever going. Being a woman and trying to deal with auto parts stores that's majority men is very difficult sometimes, especially here in Hawai'i....I get it you don't want us around well then we won't come...got it thanks.

Very friendly, and helpful! Thankyou for taking the time to help out my Dad and I with our rear view mirror puzzle. Smartest guys this side the island 🤙🏾

Best local auto parts store in my opinion. Knowledgeable, friendly and open everyday early. My first option, hands down.

It's a good go to, and a whole lot of people 😉😀 find PaP carries what they need, and the prices are good to better than most.

Everytime I go into this store I always feel better about what ever issue I'm having. Everyone who works here is so helpful and kind. Definitely the best parts store in Pahoa!

Terrible customer service with a complete lack of empathy. Highly unreasonable and frustrating. Despite being assured that the battery had no warranty, I didn't bother to keep the receipt. Shockingly, the battery died within just one week. When I returned to the store, they heartlessly demanded the receipt for the warranty claim. They refused to resolve the issue, leaving me completely dissatisfied. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this unreliable shop and instead visit the one across the street.

Excellent staff. If you are a woman go see these guys. Mike is awesome. All the workers are knowledgeable and will go out of their way to help you. Love this place.

Always the best choice for parts. They have never steered me wrong. These guys have been here all along and are a solid part of the community. That's what makes the difference, being part of the community they care and genuinely try to help. Not like some corporate store that is only interested in how much profit they can make from a community. They are invested in us, we all need to do the same for them.

These guys are awesome!! They are always really helpful. If they don't have what I need in stock, they usually can order it and it'll be in stock in the next day or 2. I highly recommend this store for your auto part needs.

These guys are solid. During the 2018 flow they found respirators and sols them at cost. At the beginning of the pandemic they found bleach and sold it at cost. They're extremely knowledgeable and helpful (and funny). Their prices are at least fair if not better than average and they won't try to upsell sell you. Best prices on fluids (oil, etc.) in town and possibly on the whole island.

Great bunch of people at Pahoa auto parts. Best price for the parts I needed and they were the only store in town who had it in stock. This place has become my go-to store for anything I need in the future.

Though there is pleanty of seating space to wait while your vehicle is being taken care of, WAITING is what you'll be doing, and A LOT of it. If you make an appointment please be forewarned; it will not matter. 2 and a 1/2 hours later I'm still waiting for a simple A/C charge. Many others of come and gone and I'm still here!!! Very paitnet, not interrupting, saying please and thank you. I count 7 people here, what is the hold up!!!! Not the 1st time I've had this issue here. So just to recap plan a DAY trip here.

I love this parts store and the guys that work there. Their prices are reasonable, they always have want I need in stock and it’s good to support small and local businesses. They are also always helpful and full of fun. Last time I went there I accidentally locked my keys in the car. One of the counter guys and a customer spent 30 minutes in helping me to open the door - which they did. The other customer wanted nothing in return for his time and effort. The counter guy said that Heineken was on sale at Longs across the street. Bought him a 12 pack. They have made a customer for life.

Called: they always say" please hold" and 5 minutes later they hang up. Call back "please hold" then they hang up. I call back about 20 times and they didn't answer. Call with my wife's phone, answers right away. Come to find out the part was a lot more expensive then Pahoa Napa I should have just went with them. Thanks.

The guys are friendly. They give great customer service and are very helpful! And the fact that it is a local business makes it even better!

my car was screaming at me because it was low on oil after trying LONGS drugs and the gas station neither had oil. I walk into Pahoa auto parts grab a quart of oil and pull out my card to pay and get "oh I cant run a card for a quart of oil". So I asked how many do I have to buy to run my card and I got what sounded like a standard speech about how much it cost to run a card and how he has lost tens of thousands of dollars because of this. To much information all I want is a quart of oil, I even offered the single dollar bill I had in my wallet to cover the charge he was complaining about. Luckily my car made down the street to NAPA without seizing and I purchased oil and was on my way. I have observed many times how cashiers and others in customer service in these small towns/islands have a tendency to make things difficult for people they don't know personally.

On the pricey side. But hey they are a small privately owned company. Support the local business! I know it's hard to compete when nano is close by, and now oreilys moving in to new mall, hope the people of pahoa can keep this place alive!

Experienced staff is the best part about this store. You can talk story, and the guys actually know about what they are selling to you. Prices are on par with napa, sometimes cheaper, sometimes not, but these guys know about working on trucks at least. Buying parts at Napa like trying to buy parts off 7/11 workers. The owner pissed me off more than once, but I guess he thinks he's funny more than he is, comes off a prick.... But I detect that slight genuism in him, he doesn't mean it. Lucky he has good staff to deflect that. So, awesome parts store, open 7 days, good availability on stock, just avoid the owner for best experience.

I have been dealing with these guys since I moved here in 1990. They have always been a wealth of information and eager to help in any way. Handsome as stated on the website?....Well, none of us look quite as good as we used to, but at least the eagerness to help and advise still flourishes! Thanks guys, aloha, Huge Biker Dude Johnson

We all have our moments. As the owner/operations manager of Pahoa Auto Parts, Inc. I am very pleased with the positive feedback we receive from the community. All of us at Pahoa Auto Parts go to great lengths to help our customers find the RIGHT automotive solution to whatever their particular automotive ailment may be on any given day. We've been doing this for 7 days a week for....nearly 30 years now...WOW! And most of our customers are still with us. Mahalo! We, us parts guys, may be just a couple of "hicks from the sticks" but we do our best. (of course some days our best may be a little better, or a little less best, but we're here for you, rain or shine). Sometimes folks get unhappy with our policies, that's to be expected in this business. But these practices and policies are in place to protect both the business and the consumer. Thank you Punatics for your unwavering support these past 30 years! Looking forward to the next 30 years.

Great crew working here. Better prices than the NAPA up the road on certain stuff, but the connection with the workers is worth it. Had the parts I needed in stock and surprisingly inexpensive.

I have been into Pahoa Auto Parts many times and have had good service. Today I came to return a packaged and sealed tool to ask for a return on it. The owner was willing to return it but not until I received a terse lecture on their no tool return policy and their signs. This was the first time I have even bought a tool from them but the owner was very rude in his verbal lecture like I should have seen their sign when I purchased it. Does everyone read every sign that a business posts up? I chose to keep the tool and leave because it wasn't necessary to be that rude like I was some vagrant asking for a handout or something. He may have been having a bad morning, I get that, but there seemed like there was no care by him when I politely pointed out how terse he was being to me for asking for the return.
