I will never use this place again. They never called after charging over $800, dropped the vehicle in the road, facing the wrong way on a busy street with the key in the ignition. When talking to the owner, he said there is nothing he can do, supposedly the driver tried to call, yet I have no history of any missed calls received from the driver or anyone else. He told me the vehicle is drivable and we can just drive it up the driveway ourselves, however, the brakes don't work, which is the reason for the tow to begin with. When calling the owner back,asking why nobody came to the door, he said because of covid, yet nobody in the office was wearing masks. Ridiculous
Y'all are a minus zero . My experience is the worst . They tow my husband ride while I was in hospital I couldn't get none of my stuff. Now they saying I can't get any of my stuff unless I sign it over or pay the whole fee . Which I had over 200 dollars and my sister ashes that had just passed away couple days before . They are very rude on the phone . And the fact my husband out the country and they won't even let me get the car off the lot if I paid the fee. So keep my money and my baby sister urn. I will never suggest Watkins to anyone

Watkins has come through for us in the roughest of times. Prompt service. GREAT customer service. Very friendly. When you're in an accident or just need a tow Watkins is the way to go. I don't trust anyone else.
Chris came and towed my vehicle. Very knowledgeable and professional. He expressed empathy for my situation and made an already difficult experience go a bit more smoothly. The fact that he saw me drenched in sweat waiting for and Uber, and offered me a Powerade from his truck was icing on the cake.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Very sheisty business. By the time I was able to go to retrieve my items from my vehicle, The owner told me in order to do so, I had to pay a fee or give him the title to my car + $250. According to the law, I had 30 days to retrieve my items. They had no right to withhold anything from me due to payment except the vehicle itself. After getting law enforcement involved, the officer and his supervisor did confirm that they were in the wrong, but stated all they could do was write the report. I was so desperate to get my valuables that I was willing to give in and give them the car and money, but they declined. Karma is real folks. God bless

Did not allow me to get remaining belongings out of my car and said that I had to wait until insurance confirmed they would pay him, when he already knew that they would. Had to drive 4 hours home without my belongings, owner Justin is extremely rude and incompassionate. Do NOT let them tow your car!

This has been by far the worst experience with this towing company. On the website it says open 24/7 yet I have tried calling a trillion times and no answer, no call backs nothing. If the hours of operation are not 24/7 PLEASE UPDATE THE TIME
Extremely rude and unprofessional. They were dispatched through my roadside service from State Farm. They alleged that the vehicle wasn’t released from the shop. Contacted the shop and was advised no one from their company reached out to the shop to even set up the tow.
I contacted them back and not only did they not acknowledge the error made on THEIR part as they couldn’t even confirm the correct insurance company that actually dispatched them (they told me to contact Geico “to get it together”) but also had an attitude about THEIR lack of competence & refused to even participate in a 3 way call with the ship which is customary in these situations to confirm release.
I recommend to steer clear.
Didn’t receive this “friendly customer service” that everyone is speaking about. More like sarcastic and rude. If someone asks a simple question …just give an answer . Repeating the question “How can I help you ma’am ?” does not answer a question about your hours lol . I had to ask because others actually had told me they towed until a certain time, so I didn’t want to waste any time talking if you all were the same. So yeah . Consider doing better .
I highly recommend Watkins Towing! Needed one of my vehicles towed ASAP, and Justin sent Matt to save the day! We only had to wait about 15-20 for him to get to us. He was very nice and provided excellent customer service. Justin and Matt, thank you, again! I appreciate both of you.
Absolutely the BEST!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! My husband and I had a flat tire on our CTS. We called State Farm to request a tow and their ETA was 90-120 minutes We called other towing companies prior to calling Watkins Towing and was told the ETA was 3-4 hours. Watkins Towing told us they could be there in 15-20 minutes. He arrived in the time frame specified. Although we wasn’t allow to ride in the tow truck, our ride arrived right after he pulled in front of our car. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. In our case, time was a major factor since it was shortly after 4pm. Mavis Tire was the nearest tire shop on Washington Rd and they were closing at 5pm. My husband called John at Mavis Tire & they agreed to wait until 5:30 to be sure they could help assist us! Needless to say, we made it there before 5 and the guys stayed over a little to get our new tire put on! THANKS SO MUCH WATKINS TOWING & MAVIS! GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!
The lady I initially spoke with quoted me about an hour for the tow truck and 30 minutes later, my car was loaded up and on its way. Pricing is reasonable. But what really impressed me the most, more than anything, was their professionalism. I'll never use any other towing company after the stress-free experience I just had.

Watkins towing is by far the best in the CSRA I have dealt with a lot of the "big name" companies in our area and no one comes close when it comes to customer service. Best rates in the city. I called Watkins towing on a Saturday afternoon and explained that my in-laws broke down almost 3 hrs away and he sent a driver right away and made sure they made it home safely. I am forever grateful to have this company to call on when I'm in a bind.

Watkins Towing does have quite a few five stars and I'm sure that they are a decent company. With that being said I'm a 22-year USAA member and I've never experienced customer service like this. I was in an accident on Friday the 25th of October 2024 I called Justin the following day Saturday to find out about getting my vehicle back he told me that the yards closed and that I should try again on Monday. So I called Monday to be told that I had to pay the full bill which was not a problem and also that I had to pay an additional $150 to get my car back. The part that bothers me the most is that would not allow me to pick up my vehicle from their yard. Okay so now I have a 550.00 bill I have no problem paying it now I'm being told that the payment has to be in $$CASH$$.
Who has half a grand in cash laying around to get a car back that belongs to them except credit cards and charge the customer the fee to use the service.
But to only accept cash sounds like someone is trying to avoid the IRS just saying.
So finally USAA clears everything up with Watkins towing and I'm told that my vehicle would be delivered. Monday rolls by Tuesday rolls by and now on Wednesday finally I get my vehicle. Just doesn't seem right that a towing company can tow your vehicle from an accident and then for some reason believe that they have a right to keep it.
I hope USAA will take my advice and review Watkins partnership with USAA.
Also from reading some of the replies it seems that Justin always has some excuse so that it's not their fault. This is one time that the customer was actually right and Justin is too proud to even call to let me know my vehicle had been delivered.

Justin with Watkins Towing is always my go to for any of my towing needs. Whatever it is, Justin will find a solution. He definitely cares about the people and community that he serves. Watkins Towing is a very fair and reliable tow service. One of the best, if not the best tow service in town.
My daughter was in an accident this morning and Watkins was who towed her vehicle. The driver was prompt, friendly and professional. When we went to pick up the car the dispatcher and owner were both so easy to work with and kind. After the morning I've had I will never forget Justin Watkins genuine kindness. I'll never use any other company. They have my respect and business for life.
My battery died, and the hood latch was stuck. I fully anticipated having the car towed and needing to rent a car to drive more than an hour back home. It was a stressful situation, but Justin came to help without making a fuss about anything. He went above and beyond and did way more than I expected or even thought possible to get my car running again. He told me the next steps I should take to keep my car running properly. He ensured the entire interaction was smooth and painless. I’d definitely recommend anyone looking to give Watkins towing a call!
Justin and Katie were so easy to work with. My car broke down unexpectedly and I called them. They were very professional and made the whole ordeal a lot less stressful than it could have been. Chris at Watkins Towing was fantastic!!! My Tesla died on I-20W while on the way to visit family. Not only were they one of the only tow companies in the area with a flatbed truck (required to tow a Tesla), Chris was prompt and super professional. Towed me to the nearest Tesla Supercharger and saved the day, with no damage to the car. Thank you, thank you, thank you Chris and to Watkins Towing!

Had a flat tire on the way to work. I was referred to this company through Verizon wireless. Needless to say I never made it to work. Wait time was 75 to 90 minutes. More like 2 hours. Tried to get me to sign a damage waiver. Red flag!!!!!! Nope!!!!! Luckily for me I still had a warranty for towing through Honda. Got my tire changed by Chaunceys which Watkins stated they were unable to do. Drove my car to the dealership.
Since Watkins made a reply I decided to edit my review. Based on their response you can tell they are nasty to deal with. There is no way in hell!!!!I would call your office to talk to you or deal with you in the future. Please note Chauncey's did not ask me to sign a damage waiver, and did actually show up a decent time to help me with my vechicle. I am not a liar as you are proposing I am. When you get a bad review work on improving your business not attacking your customer.
