Very professional and yet homey company. We loved our experience of purchasing our new-to-us car. We’ve always bought used cars and this was the easiest and most wholesome experience. No car salesmen tactics that make you feel rushed and stressed. The opposite! Good, honest people that let you make the decision for yourself. They answered all of our questions and if they didn’t know something, they found out. They really care about restoring and repairing the cars so the new owner can love them too.
Chris and his staff are beyond amazing! Firstly, the buying process was quick and easy. We got our 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 within 24 hours of showing interest. Bought a 2006 GMC Canyon from them drove it home and oil turned white like milk called guy nothing was wrimg with it i took it back the next day for a refund buyer beware
A great car buying experience! These folks do what they say. Chris Adam's has always taken wonderful care of us. My whole family uses Sunset. I can't remember how many vehicles we have purchased from Sunset, but we have always been satisfied. We are thankful to have this great business in our town.
I had been looking for a chevy suburban, or GMC yukon XL to accommodate my family of five. Looked for a week straight, nonstop. First let me say no other dealer I dealt with had the same standards Sunset has! They either sold cars right out from underneath me while having me wait all day thinking the car was mine. Lied about the condition of the vehicle and had us drive 3 hours, only to be let down.. so on and so forth. I had this problem alot. Or either no one had what I was looking for. These vehicles are very high in demand! Sunset had one on their website with little info since they had just gotten it in. But I went out on a limb and got there first thing Monday morning after speaking with Missy late Friday afternoon. She told me it still had to go through inspection and all but she would call me first thing. I knew if it got put on the lot it would be gone in no time. So I got there when they opened and they had it ready. Brand new tires, brakes, alignment, motor mount. That had me intrigued right there. Most used car lots throw anything out there. I think all the cars I looked at before Sunset needed new tires. That's pricey as it is.
There was a tear in one of the back seats, some missing knobs, the remote was also missing for the TVs. Missy had all that ordered and they are doing the repair on the seat. We negotiated price and she worked diligently to get me an APR that I could afford. She wasn't letting us leave there unless we were 100% satisfied. The customer service at sunset is untouchable!! I will never go anywhere else! And now my whole family says that's where they'll be going too. My brother in law got a truck from them years before, I didnt know, but when I told him where I got my car he said "They don't sell no BS out there!" All of their vehicles are nice and thoroughly inspected! I am so happy with my purchase and my kids are even more. They have 2 tvs to occupy them on rides now. Everytime I park my car I walk away staring thinking how much I love it!

Living in CT I began my search for a Corvette locally. I soon found out that though they were plentiful, not many are in great condition or for someone who is very particular about their vehichles, “Collector Quality” condition. Upon my Nationwide automotive retail website search, I stumbled upon a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 listed by Sunset Auto Sales & Classics. I couldn’t believe the Mileage, Condition and Price the vehicle was posted for, so as the ad stated, I called “Whacky Wayne!” Upon reaching the man himself and having some southern gentlemanly small talk, we got to business! Wayne explained the history of the vehicle in detail and verified all my doubts were reasonable, but not worthwhile. As I later found Wayne and company are genuine enthusiasts and know more than just the spec sheets. The man is full of knowledge though he will modestly deny so.
Seeing as the vehicle was located quite a few states away I discussed my logistical issue and the fact that I didn’t want to make the trip to see the vehicle unless we had a general understanding on pricing and vehicle condition, Wayne kindly obliged and we struck a deal I was comfortable flying down to GA for on short notice. Wayne again kindly offered advice on flight cost (As the masters were shortly coming and pricing would spike), pickup and drop off from the airport to assist me in cost and time. Talk about Southern Hospitality!? Just a few days later I was in Augusta being picked up by the man himself. Had I known how busy this man is, I might have offered to Uber/Lyft myself over, but Wayne made no mind of it.
The Car. Upon arrival to the dealership, all my doubts left and he gave me the time and space I wanted to verify the car was in the condition I aspired for it to be. IT WAS! A genuinely MINT condition 09’ C6 Z06. We again discussed our position on the price which was very reasonable for the car and he assured me that if I was set on purchase, my word was good enough and that once I get back to CT we will deal with taking care of the finances and logistical problems (as I had to have the car shipped back to CT rather than driving). After introducing me to the team at Sunset Auto Sales, back off to the airport we went and Wayne even made time to grab lunch. Did I mention this was all done in one day?
Multiple calls(and I mean A LOT) to discuss the finance and logistic issues were answered quickly and promptly at all times of the week. Wayne’s suggestion on a respectable transport company led to a safe transport. Wayne with the assistance of “Madd Missy” helped me through the issues I had at my local DMV and gave me multiple avenues of contact to get any and all issues straightened out. Guess what? My local DMV didn’t know, but Missy had sent all the correct paperwork, the teller at the DMV just didn’t understand her job well enough. Haha
I’d like to thoroughly thank Wayne, Missy and Chris for running a great and extremely hospitable organization down there in Thompson, GA. Feel confident as I am writing this review, that they will take the grandest of care of their customer.

Salesman was super disrespectful and could care less if I was trying to buy a car. The salesman acted as if I didn't know a single thing about cars or how my OWN insurance policy works when I work at a car dealership myself.
