Barrett automotive is a good place and that guy that runs it is a good guy. Across the street he also has Barrett Auto parts which is very good place to get Auto parts.
Rodney is the best guy around, he and his team are honest, fast and super reliable. Every time i leave I want to go home and bake them a pie or something cause they are just that great!
Rodney is a honest man, and honest when it comes to his work and his shop. His daughter is a sweet heart also, his son and employees are honest workers as well. They all have great hearts and understood my needs/complaints when it came to my vehicle..they actually cared and wanted to listen, so far..NO MORE squealing, which by the way I've delt with since 2021. Even after getting new parts and having it "fixed" the dreadful sounds continued..They were very efficient once all the parts had arrived, left me stunned honestly. These are my impressions from coming here for the first time. Will DEFINITELY be coming back and making Barrett Automotive my regular spot for my vehicle care! They took me in at the last minute to fix headlight tail light. I’m from out of town and was only in town due to my father being put in the hospital. All staff were very friendly and helpful!
We had a Toyota diagnostic and repaired and was very pleased with how helpful And honest everyone was.
We were able to pick up the truck as the next day. We didn't think it would be ready because of 'mostly' phone conversation, but it was and we felt the prices was very reasonable.

If I could give them a lesser rating, I would. These are the worst mechanics I have ever been to. I called them ahead of time and told them that I needed a coolant flush because I accidentally put oil in my coolant reservoir. They said they could flush it and I brought my truck over on a tow. I leave it there for a few hours and get a call back for the water pump needing to be replaced and saying that the coolant was leaking just as fast as they were pouring it. I said how much and they say around 570. I say let me think about it and when I call back later it's 610. Why? Because of taxes, and when I ask what taxes they say its the belts. I ask if they have already flushed it and they say yes. So, I ask them to instead just top it off while I get the money to be able to pay for it. I go pick it up and see that my truck now has a new scratch and they say they only filled it with water as it wasn't worth putting coolant in. A couple of days later I go to fill it up with coolant so I can drive it to a cheaper mechanic and what do I find? A tank full of water oil and coolant because they never flushed the tank and only added water. These guys are crooks and dishonest and now when I call they do not answer. Please save yourself the headache.

Barrett Automotive!! They are great. Dealership told me I needed to replace the seals on my car $1500. Decided to go to a local business a friend recommended Barrett’s. They looked and found I only needed a new oil drain plug. Thank you so much!!
Took me nearly a month to get on Rodney’s schedule and was WORTH EVERY MINUTE of waiting. He installed all new plugs, wires, coils, and injectors on my 1998 4Runner V6 IN A DAY. Dropped it off at 6pm on a Wednesday, he called me between 3-4pm on Thursday and told me it was ready. It runs like it did new (I’m the 3rd owner) and at 255k miles, I’m going to trust Barrett Automotive to get it to 500k. Highly recommended.
I thought my repair bill was going to be a few thousand dollars, and Barrett's Automotive could have probably pulled it over on me. I had volunteered that I thought my vehicle was burning oil, and that my transmission was making a strange clicking sound, but rather than gouging me, Barrett's took the time to research my issues and discovered that it wasn't as bad as previously thought. A few thousand dollars less makes me a very satisfied customer. They've won my business.
Great automotive shop run by great people. They’re generally honest with me & my family about our cars’ issues and always check with us before proceeding & charging us. They do a wonderful job checking out what is going on & helping us find the solution. Also great for routine things like an oil change. I would recommend them to anyone

If I could give 10 Stars I would give 10 Stars!! Very honest, not looking to make a quick buck!! I thought for sure I was looking at at least a $200 bill and I walked out and owing nothing!! Because what I took my car in for, he said it didn't need, because it had been done awhile back and all he was going to do was change out good parts!! You don't find honesty like that anymore!! I highly recommend Barrett automotive to everyone!!!!
first off i took my truck there for a new bearing. they said it was my calipers and began to replace them. then after they had my brakes taken apart they then admitted my bearing was bad. then they said they replaced both brake calipers and ended up doing one and charging for both. then when i complained when my brakes weren’t working right they said they had a defective caliper when it was obviously the same caliper that was on there before i took it to them. lairs and cheaters!!
I've used this mechanic shop a couple times now and they performed exactly the jobs I asked in a very timely and professional manner. They are also fair on their pricing and do honest hard work. I would recommend this mechanic to anyone.
Excellent service! Everyone there is great. Just be forewarned there is normally a long wait time to get you car in to be seen. Sometimes 1 to 1.5 weeks (reason for only 4 stars). So if you are not in a rush then all is OK.
They did a full inspection and found what I was expecting.
Prices are reasonable. But do quality work.
This business is the best . I have been taking my cars there for going on 3 years . They are honest and dependable . I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that was out of warranty and it was leaking fuel from the fuel tank . They did research and found that JEEP had an issue with fuel tanks being out of spec. They are just honest good folks .

Told me $700 to fix initially. Called and said it's ready to pick up....an hour later they call back and say they found something else it will be another $800. If they would have told me this amount initially I would not have had the work done. Now after I pick it up there's a loud knocking noise that was not there prior-very noticable. I call him to ask about the noise his response is "oh that was there before we thought you knew about that". Driving the same car everyday you know the sound of your engine and no it did not sound like a diesel before it arrived. Will not be back...big mistake.

Mr. and Mrs. Barrett run the best automotive repair shop I have ever seen. Their prices are fantastic, they have decades of experience working on cars, and they will do whatever it takes to make you happy and feel at home. We first heard of them from another automotive shop over 30 miles away when they couldn't fix the car, their that good. Barrett's has a well deserved reputation for honesty, integrity, fair prices, and efficiency. Traits all too rare in the automotive repair industry. They are the only place we use unless it is something they can't fix, and in those incredibly rare circumstances they always have a great referral to someone they trust. They treat you like family not just a customer and for all these reasons they are at the top of my list for referring a friend who needs work done.
