Dropped of 20 + clothes from well known American brand, many pretty new bought within last 2 years and did not get any purchased. I selected donation so had no choice to even take them back. Feels very scammy, would rather just take my stuff to goodwill, at least I know it’s for sure donated.

If I could give zeros stars I would…first off i came here on weekday in afternoon to sell clothes I was not greeted just stared at mind this the second time I’ve had bad experience with this store, they took almost a hour 45 minutes to do my clothes told it should be 30 min for them to only except 6 of my items for less then $20 mind you half of my stuff is name brand items with tags on top all that the staff could not even fold my clothes just shoved them back in bag customer service is terrible, I would advice nobody to come here.

This is unacceptable how they manage this store clothes everywhere hard to find anything and look through why are the clothes out dated I thought this store would be worth it but it’s not at least this location who is in charge and I can’t even tell

Me and my friend had this AWFUL EXPERIENCE with who we believe is the manager Katelyn. We tried ask her about where we could find some maxi dresses. She straight up ignored us until we asked again. She then proceeded to tell us the location in a rude tone. We then saw her berating the poor employees as well as she was making huge pile of messy clothes. This store always messy and unorganized. I could say I’ve never had such unprofessional interaction. DONT GO HERE

I had a unpleasant day with this location it was unorganized with clothes packed on the racks and clothes on the floor and many in the wrong section the mangers I believe Kaitlyn is very rude and disrespectful to their employees playing around or not they didn’t look happy

Katie was the SWEETEST. Super helpful, answered all questions and made for a great visit to sell my clothes.

I enjoy thrift shopping. This place is the high end of thrift shopping and what I mean is they have the best stuff and it’s a little more expensive but I would say worth it 100% worth it. They do a good job of categorizing and separating their stuff so you don’t have to shop all day looking for a deal. They’ve got it, separated and put in a place where you can find it. I grade them a A+.

Today I sold to Uptown Cheapskate and went shopping there for the first time. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and I’m now a huge fan of the store. Can’t wait until my next visit!

Do Not Buy or Sell at this Uptown Cheapskate location! The customer service/staff are extremely rude and unprofessional/very shady in their business practices, making the entire shopping experience awful/very frustrating. I brought in a large selection of high quality, name brand clothing, and they barely purchased anything - yet their racks are FILLED with over worn/poor quality items. If you're looking for a better experience/option, go to Plato's Closet. They offer fairer payouts, better quality overall, and a much more honest experience.

I’ve sold items at several Uptown locations, but this one has been the most disappointing experience. I brought in multiple name-brand, trendy pieces that were purchased within the past year, all in excellent condition and well within Uptown’s target market. Very few of my items were accepted, and surprisingly, the ones they did take were random lower-end brands like those from Amazon. While this location carries some name-brand items, I noticed a large portion of their inventory consists of outdated styles and off-brand pieces that don’t align with the store’s usual appeal. Having worked at one of Uptown’s main competitors, I’m very familiar with how buy-sell-trade retailers evaluate inventory. I brought the same items to another Uptown location, where every piece was accepted and I received a fair offer. This store in particular could benefit from stronger training on the buying process and on recognizing what styles are actually in demand for resale.

I had a disappointing experience selling my items today. When I returned to pick up they had misplaced belongings of another customer, which showed a lack of professionalism. They gave me a great offer for my items but refused to return a few that I wanted back, citing unclear policies I hadn’t been properly informed about when signing. The assistant manager & blonde hair employee (both young) were rude and condescending, though she called the actual manager eventually & resolved the issue. Overall, the service was unprofessional and frustrating.

Don’t even waste your time coming to this location. I typically drive the extra 30 minutes to a different uptown to sell my clothes because they are way nicer and actually give you money back, but I didn’t feel like making the drive so I thought I would give this location another shot… and I shouldn’t of. I brought in four bags, full of American Eagle, Kate Spade, Vintage Havana, Nike Air Jordans, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, and even a Fake Louis Vuitton and they took three items (one being a pair of like new Jordans) and gave me $12. I literally got robbed.

Great experience. No issues. I like that they explained the entire process up front and they gave me options (did I want cash or store credit). They also explained what they are looking for.

I found this store while browsing. I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as i walked in the door. I interacted with at least 5 employees and they were all the same: welcoming, engaging, explaining the floor layout and pricing guides, directing me to sales, clearances, and new items. The store was spacious, well-appointed, organized and very clean. I found great bargains and check-out was fast and easy. As i was leaving, one of tge you g ladies explained their purchasing process. This was tge best experience that i have had in a retail space since COVID. I recommend this store and i will definitely shop there again!

John’s Creek location Went in with my wife, two teenage daughters, and my son. They were each purchasing several pairs of jeans and a couple of sweatshirts. Male employee told me to get a key for the restroom. The two female employees at the counter were very rude and told me the restrooms were out of order— both of them. I am pretty sure they were just being racist. Joseph B

This place disappoints me most times I go in there. I’m 26 and I know my clothes are name brand (free people, madewell, American eagle ect) and stylish. I hardly ever sell any of it, which is fine if I didn’t see old, faded, and outdated clothes on the racks!!!! Today I went in and it took them 3 min to go through my 3 bags of quality clothes; which tells me they didn’t really go through it. Just disappointed in the selling process here. Would go elsewhere if you actually wanna sell. Also gave me $9 for 3 items.

I have had an ok experience buting items and selling here. Staff has been great and , actually , much improved overcthecyears. I really don't understand the companies buying process here. I have brought in many items over the years to sell ; items with brand names, new items with tags, and very gently used items still in style, and most , get donated. ???? What really confuses me about all this is the very worn items and out of style items i find on their racks all the time and the men's section kinda sucks. Their very worn items are priced too high. I thrift more in the rich neighborhood's goodwill because most of time they have better items and for much cheaper! I think this place could do better honestly but, that is just my experience.

I sold two unused brand designer bags here because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of selling it on another platform and knew I was pretty much getting nothing. Furthermore, I had a new brand name baseball cap inside one of the bags and they didn't mention it, good thing I remembered before I left the store or they would've gotten that for free! You're better off going to Plato's closet if you want to sell, they pay out better and probably are more honest.

They have Nice things, just the style that young teens lit. It's full of clothes, based off the season. Some clothes still have the Retail Tag on it.. This is Gently Used, If not even worn yet. Check ✔️ it Out ?

Hello. I was greeted by an associate of the store when I walked in and was told how the processed worked & it would take about 20 minutes. I browsed through the store and waited less than 15 minutes to be checked out. Very easy process. The store was clean and well organized and the staff was professional and courteous. Thank you

This store is well-organized, clean, and makes the selling process super easy. The sections are neatly categorized, making it simple to browse through clothing, shoes, and accessories. Selling old clothes here is a smooth experience—the staff is efficient, evaluates items quickly, and offers a fair price. It’s a great way to declutter and earn a little extra cash. If you’re looking for quality second-hand finds or want to sell your own, this is definitely a great spot to check out!

I had a great experience here! I brought in a few bags of clothes, accessories, and shoes in the hopes that these items would be picked! It was a smooth process and will definitely be back. I highly recommend you clean your closets out and go visit! It’s a worth a shot!

So so overpriced. I don’t know how they sell anything or wouldn’t wanna have a quicker turnaround. $40 hokas and the whole bottom sold is worn out, I could not believe it Lululemon stuff for $40, which most you can get on their we made too much for about the same price …… brand new too.

My sister told me about this store. I took my 15 year old son who loves thrift stores and consignment stores as he loves to find unique styles and he was very happy with the clothes he found. Staff was also very friendly and they had some great music too. ? We’ll be back again. They also have some great discours! ?

Really confusing how they purchase and sell items. They have great merchandise, used and new. However, some of their used items, I'm not sure why they purchased it and are reselling it, and at the prices its for sale; it's not worth it. It's still worth the trip

Update: I would give this place a second chance... I’ve been a loyal customer for years and it can get discouraging to shop at a store when employees shoot you dirty looks. I’ve never had an issue with the employees up until this point. Where I draw the line is when they take my stuff and don’t pay for it. They claimed it as donation then put a tag on it. This is a corrupt business, you can’t take someone’s stuff then charge people for it without *Paying me for my stuff that they basically stole. I would not trust these people!!! Look what I found in my car!!!
