I just moved to Smyrna two weeks ago, and I have been to this recycling center every other day! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do not hesitate to share information and processes. This has been the cleanest and most well organize recycle center that I have ever been through in the thirty years that I have been recycling. They are my motivators to get back to taking recycling seriously. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF!

The staff here is absolutely top notch. They are helpful and courteous, and anxious to help sort your stuff to the right bins for recycling. I bring a tub of glass bottles (which the help sort to clear and colored glass, #1 and #2 plastics (which the help to sort for #1 and #2 bins). They carry my cargboard and paper to the right areas, and bring me back the bins. The place is clean and well organized. I can't conceive of how the place could be run better. Kudos!

This is the best city service anywhere. There’s no way there could be a better city recycling center. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly at all hours.

Long haired guy in the back was very friendly and helped me unload a bunch of fence post and a lot of old chain link fence.

Maybe the nicest recycling center in Cobb county! The nicest maintained and widest materials acceptance of any recycling facilities seemingly for any cities in SW half of Cobb.

This place is very organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have any questions about the appropriate way to recycle certain materials, the staff provides options and good recommendations.

Super clean and organized, the kid that works here was very nice and helpful in getting things placed correctly and what to do with the recycling they couldn't take at this location.

OMG, I love this place! A little bit of a drive from where I live, but worth it. Easy to use, super clean and the staff is helpful. Great for recycling glass and other items not picked up curbside. Will be returning.

Aggressive employees—beware. Employee threw hardened plastic container lid at my windshield when my vehicle was (seemingly) unattended. Employee became even more aggressive when confronted about behavior: yelling, beating on car window as I pulled away. Employee is probably still there. Little to no accountability. Find somewhere SAFE to do your part to reduce trash from the environment <—this is not that safe place….

The staff here are awesome and always so helpful! They answer any questions I have and will even help me sort my recycling. I really love this place, every city needs a recycling center this awesome!

Great place! The guy working there is very helpful and nice, I am grateful he took the time to explain to me how to recycle properly - what goes where etc. He gave me a Hefty Bag kit and always helps me unload! Very much appreciated!

We Used to go there back when they were in their original location. I really looked forward to going, because they had a free section where you could pick up some pretty cool stuff for free. The lady manager was friendly and she gave me some very useful items. Then they did away with the free section. Now that they're in the new location, they literally won't allow you to touch Anything! You would Think that with all the stuff they take in, they would provide another "free" section where people could just take things they wanted or might need? Nope! No more! Too formal and regulated. I betcha the employees get to take home all sorts of stuff that is out of bounds for the customers.

EDIT: I ended up going and changed this review because Jared was so helpful in explaining things to me and proactively helping me with the process. THOS WAS ORIGINALLY ONE STAR. But Jared was so helpful he made this review 5 STARS. Original post:since the people who do the curbside service failed at their jobs, and after reading what can and cannot go int the bins, I tried calling this location. I’m just wondering why no one is answering the phone? We’re past thanksgiving holiday and the same message is still up. If you have a job, be an adult and properly answer the phone some of us have mouths to feed and have little time to make the trip down to the location. II always like to call and clarify things so that I can be prepared before going in

First time there and everything was very well labeled. A staff member saw me struggling with some styrofoam and explained the Hefty energy bag program and gave me a starter kit. Very friendly, will definitly be going back!

I am impressed by the helpful staff. There is an assistant on duty to help you navigate the site. He is very friendly and helpful. Check the schedule by calling. It changes regularly. Right now, Friday and Saturday only. The website will show otherwise.

Nice area to recycle used car oil and coolant. I’ve been coming for years now since it’s in the local area. Just recently I was charged to use their oil recycle services which was totally new to me since I never had to pay in the past for draining used engine oil.

Went there yesterday with a lot of paper, plastic and cardboard pieces. The man hands me the cardboard back, and I ask, where should I put it? He then responds snarkishly by saying "take it home and put it in the trash. It's trash, what are we supposed to do with it?" WOAH! I got the feeling he was either naturally super rude or maybe hung over. I walked over to the other gentleman who was gracious to assist me. You all should screen your employees.

I bring a large amount of cardboard and paper products once sometimes twice a month and have been for years. The facility in nice, well organized and clean. How ever the management and most of the staff are frequently rude, unappreciative and a pain in the neck to deal with.

Dropping recyclable stuff is part of my weekend routine. I was glad to find this recycling center very close to very I used to live. The facility has well organized bins for each category, the volunteers are helpful . This recycling center accepts plastic containers, glass, paper, metal cans, electronic junk.

Great facility; well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. Follow the signs when you pull in to get to the appropriate drop-off area for your particular items. First time dropping off glass? Keep reading for tips. The glass must be separated by color when put in the bins. Green vs. Amber may be confusing if you miss the sign (apparently most people do), so here are some tips: CLEAR glass - any clear glass bottle or jar GREEN glass - this will be ANY wine bottle that is NOT clear (they all have a little green in them) along with any other bottles or jars that are not clear or dark amber. It's kind of a catch-all for glass not fitting the other categories AMBER glass - think of your standard beer bottle (dark amber color). NO WINE BOTTLES in this bin, even if they appear amber. **Be sure to remove all lids, corks, etc.**

So much nicer than the old recycling center location. The bins are easy to use and the workers are surprisingly helpful. Note that they do not recycle large sheets of glass.
