Great spot to check out! No restrooms are available but picnic tables are. Dog friendly. Multiple trails to hike with a few waterfalls to see. A little history to be learned about the location and great for photography opportunities.
Bartram Trail is lovely and has several different points of interest. The trail leads up across Warwoman Road to Becky Branch Falls and over past the picnic pavilion to Warwoman Dell Falls. Both are small, but gorgeous!
Hiked two hours here and it was an uneventful trail, which is good but kind of boring. I ended up turning around because I got tired of fighting the spider webs, SO many! If you hike with someone bigger and taller make sure they go in front of you ?. There is an outhouse, might want to bring TP. Parking is pretty easy to access, but not a lot. I came at 8am and was the only one.
We found the small waterfall and enjoyed the history found on the signs. But look up a map of the trails before you loose service. Lots of trail options and hard to know which ones are best to take.
We had fun exploring this space. Lots of different ways to go and while most are marked they aren’t clear as to where they all go. The small falls at one stop were great and very accessible. Another falls required a steep climb and crossing a road that had no signage warning that there might be pedestrians crossing. And the map said it stopped, but it seemed to continue. I wish the trails were marked better, but outside of that it’s a good place to park and walk and get a varied experience of hiking. And parking was relatively reasonable. You don’t have to park at the first availability. There is more parking a little deeper into the space.
Peaceful here. We like walking back to the waterfall and just enjoying the solitude while still being minutes from town. Pet friendly, mostly well maintained, plenty of parking.
Lovely trail...a few challenging spots, beautiful waterfalls and great vista's at the pinnacle knob. Even though tripped on a root and face planted a rock...face is a mess! I'd do it again.
