My daughter hired this company to tow her car to a repair shop and she put an Amazon envelope that contained some of the parts the mechanic would need for the repairs in the passenger seat of her car and she told the mechanic where they would be when the car arrived. Well the mechanic called her when the car arrived and told her that there was no Amazon envelope in the passenger seat or anywhere in the car. I searched my house for about a week looking for that envelope. I spoke to the mechanic that worked on her car, the owner of the shop, and the secretary just for good measure, to make sure that none of them had mistakenly misplaced the envelope. Once I realized that the envelope and the parts within it were nowhere to be found, I called Griffin "Empire" (wtd?!) Towing to let the owner or management know about the missing envelope. The gentleman that answered the phone (who claimed to be the manager) instantly got grumpy and said to me that their drivers don't take stuff out of cars. I'm guessing he expected me to argue with him, but I just stayed calm and explained what all I did before calling to inform someone at this company of the missing envelope and parts. After that he was much more calm and asked for my contact information, the vehicle that was towed, the date and approximate time it was towed, and to where it was towed. I'm pretty sure they already have that information, but I provided it to him anyway. He said he would inform the owner and look into the matter. It's been a few weeks and I haven't heard back from him nor do I expect to. I even explained to him that I wasn't t mad that the stuff was missing, just dissatisfied and disappointed that the tow truck driver would take something out of a car that doesn't belong to him, and extremely disappointed that we will never be able to hire them to tow a car for us again because they're not trustworthy. It's a shame that the poor tow truck driver gets paid so little that he has to steal a set of headlight bulbs and some intake seals to supplement his income. Anyways, I just wanted to let all y'all know what to expect and what not to leave in your vehicle if you hire these people. I hope they get it figured out around there and find some honest employees.
Wrost African American business in Savannah! First I was told there would be a 25.00 storage fee per day which was fine but when the storm came on that Friday I called All day to pick up my car! No return calls even after I left several messages and I called their alternate business Jackson brothers towing No answer! I knew the weather was inclement..so I get it! Went on Saturday to be told I had to pay 50.00 more for 2 days! How with no response after I sat there for Hrs to get my car! So the young man states " I can waive the storage fee but my sister added an administrative fee! For what ? In which I was never informed! They only mentioned the storage fee! It's obvious there are chasing money either to help themselves but really hurting the business as a whole! They told me they would move the car from storage on the grass so we could wait for the locksmith once the tow driver gets here! Keep in mind it's 0.02 feet from the storage to the grass for another 175.00! So they pushed it out of the storage to the streets! Never again please call Hook Recovery for a Reputable service!
I don’t know the name of the man who towed my car today. I should have asked but was so stressed it slipped my mind. Nevertheless, I needed to leave a review to say how grateful I was for his kindness, conversation, and assistance. I’ve been in Savannah only 4 days. A new transplant to the area from Philly. This man is one of the reasons I chose GA. The kindness and hospitality. It took them a little longer because of short staffing but I only waited 20 mins more than the original time and need to point out that a lot of services are struggling right now still from covid. I did call for an ETA and felt like I was being pushy, but whoever answered understood and was super helpful as well. Griffin, thank you and your team for helping me.
These people were a god send! I dropped my husband off at the doctors went to chik fil a, and popped my tire. EVERYONE else was giving me a TWO hour minimum. Griffin was there in 5 minutes, no exaggeration. The man named E was very calm, and professional with the biggest smile. THANK YOU GRIFFIN EMPIRE
Out of all the many tow companies I contacted to tow my truck to a mechanic that could actually do the work I needed, Griffin Empire Towing had the best rate and was available to tow it that day! My car was in an accident on Sept 8, 2023 and was totaled. It was towed by Griffin Empire Towing. Easy to find location and the staff/office personnel were kind and courteous. I would definitely recommend them for your towing needs.
Office staff was very helpful and polite. Charges I thought were very high. I didn't know a tow from Southside to 52nd street would cost $188. Then there was a $50 administration fee. I would not recommend them, unless you can afford such costs.

Tow truck driver took an illegal left turn onto abercorn st through oncoming traffic. Almost hit a person on a motorcycle and other cars. Would think someone who risks their lives towing cars on the side of the road would be a better driver and more considerate of other people’s safety. Apparently not.
