Huge scam.
Reported to local police and Office of Attorney General.
Car broke down, FHP came and called for a tow, these guys showed up. Charged $700 for the tow and under 48 hours of storage. Now I have to go through small claims court to get the money back.
Avoid at all costs.
After my car was towed here following an accident, I discovered all of my personal belongings had been stolen from the vehicle by the driver of the tow truck. The front desk employee promised to follow up but never did, despite multiple attempts to contact her. Two weeks later, I was told my car had been sold at auction without any notice. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was denied access to any further information. I am pursuing legal action due to the theft and mishandling of my property. This business needs to be shut down.
Outstanding service! My tire was completely blown. The gentleman USAA sent today using my Roadside Assistance went above and beyond. Offered to Zelle a tip and he said just to pray for him. That I will definitely do and pray there is more kindness out there just like you! Thank you!
I understand that waiting on the side of the road is frustrating. I had a different situation that was handled well. My 62 year old Jaguar CLE needed to be taken to a repair facility 30 miles away. It was in my garage without starting and I couldn’t figure it out. The company sent out Nelson with a flatbed truck to take the car to Daytona Beach. He arrived in a couple hours, was meticulous is loading this very immaculate collector car, and was both courteous and professional. I received a call from the repair shop in about 45 minutes saying they had received it. I didn’t need to accompany them to the shop. It was a smooth operation, he took photos after loading, and was well aware of what he was transporting. I will use Complete Auto & Recovery of St.Augustine if I ever need a similar service performed. Fully a 5 star experience!!
Scam completely they tow your car and then they say that someone called, then they tell you that they charge you 25 per day and you arrive and they charge you $125 more, in addition to that I called on Sunday and they told me that $366 and then I came on Monday and since $525 are really scammers don’t trust this tow truck company
My experience was great ! I was having a horrible day (obviously if a tow truck was needed) , anyways the driver ( wish I would have asked for his name), got my mother and I , and he was respectful and helpful!!! So whatever your name is , thank you!!!
Worst driving! Driver was all over the place and running people off the road! Speeding and no regard driving a company vehicle that had their name on it!! Pretty great for business if you ask me, even if you can't get ahold of anyone or leave a message because the voice-mail is full. Glad it's not my company! And def won't be calling if I need a tow truck!
Worst towing company ever. We had USAA assigned them to tow our car to the repair shop. They said will come in 90-120 minutes but We waited 3 and half hours they are still not show up and ended up cancelled the service. Terrible customer service!!!
After my husbands truck was towed his wallet was in it. And within days all our cards had fraud on them. The cards were still in truck. So someone named Marquita King tried to cash app our card. They would not let us get our vehicle out until Monday. Was told it was 487 on Sat and come Monday it was 690 to get it out. Scam all the way. Someone working there is stealing peoples info. Police have been called but they do have a contract with them so…
Was just released from a hospital after emergency due to a car accident that had my car towed by this company. When I called to have access (as state sign) the lady that answered said I could open it my self. When I informed her in on a walker and just had emergency knee surgery, her response was ‘while what do you want me to do about that I can’t leave the office I’m the only one here’. The office was a 2 sec walk for someone not in a full leg brace . Also my bank card was not in my car when I collected my things and now have chargers up to $600 on my bank in st Augustine on dates I was under surgery in orange park. Worst place ever. Would have never used it if given an option, which I was not bc EMT had to place me on a helicopter to a trauma unit.
Literally wish i could give less than a one star. They towed my partner's car illegally while they were at work. Where was the car parked? In the designated spot for their workplace. When they called to have it brought back they said no one could help because apparently no one was in the office to help? They originally asked for $250 to release the car and eventually brought it down to $100 after numerous calls. One of the representatives even gave my partner's mom a hassle because they "didn't want the car on their lot anymore and just wanted to get rid of it". How about this, don't illegally tow someone's car then!
WORST experience ever. Not professional and the price that is given has extra charges. My car got tow by the 95 south Florida Highway Patrol after a small incident had to pick up my car and for it to be released to me there was fees out the azz. Stay away! Call your insurance first. Don't let the FHP tow your vehicle.... by all means stay away......
This is the worst towing company out there! Broke down on 95 and had roadside. Tow was assigned and it is 4.5 hours later the car is still not picked up. Do not use them if you have the choice! Tell your roadside company not to use them either. The owner basically said “oh well”. He added stops after we were told they were on the way. Driver was very accommodating but followed owner instructions.
This company illegally towed my vehicle from place of employment! This company steals people’s vehicles and then demands cash only for return of your vehicle and refuses to list on any paperwork or receipt the actual address of where your car was towed from! They are running a scam! What they are doing is illegal and I will be reporting them! Such a shame what this company is willing to do to make a buck!! I feel sorry for them that they are not good enough at what they do to make an honest living!!
The towing service is unreliable. You get told 45 minutes every time you ask for an update and this after waiting 3 hours which was 1 hour longer than there original commitment of 2 hours. You can barely understand the person answering the phone and they obviously do not know what they are doing or have more business than they can manage;
Best experience! We called Good Sam to tow our super duty truck and fifth wheel camper back to our home, which was 130 miles away. Took GS 2 hours to finally find a company willing to tow us and Complete Auto and Recovery did that for us even though they were an hour away! The driver Brenden was AMAZING and super nice and professional! We could not have asked for a better driver! He did a great job getting it out of our campsite which was narrow, had sharp turns, and tons of trees and debri! He was an amazing driver and this company should be thankful he took the difficult tow on! Would 1000% recommend this company!
ZERO STARS - My mom was having dinner downtown for her birthday with a few friends. Her best friend who rode with her to avoid the parking nightmare, has stage 4 cancer and doesn't have the ability to walk long distances. So they parked as close to Prohibition Kitchen as possible. She paid for 2 hours on the meter. They were a mere 15 minutes late getting back to her car, and it was already gone. She called Complete Automotive and the lady on the phone told her to just come the next morning to pick it up. It was already 10 o'clock at night. So I drive her the next morning to get it, and they charged her $334.50. Would only accept cash so I had to run to the bank. When I arrived back with $340, the dude doesn't even have change..... How can you demand cash and not even provide change? So this absolute racket made $340 for towing a car a couple of miles and it sitting in their impound lot for literally about 12 hours. These people come and steal your vehicle, and hold it hostage demanding absurd amounts of money. Not sure how these people can sleep at night. Or how this is even a Legal Business.
Receptionist was extremely rude & this company is full of a bunch of crooks. Called twice to confirm where the tow truck driver is. Receptionist never calls back. THEN progressive has to call and they claim my vehicle has been towed. It wasn't picked up then the Progressive roadside people have to call 9 different places on a Saturday to try and find someone to tow my vehicle that has a blown transmission. This company is TRASH - If you get anything towed by them immediately call your provider back and have them cancel.
Terrible service. This company was assigned to tow our vehicle through a road side service company. I will be advising the company about our terrible service and suggest they find a different tow company to work with.
After giving specific directions and an address where the vehicle was located, the driver drove right by and never picked up the vehicle. He claimed he couldn't find it. However, he didn't even go to the address provided, or see the person standing by the road. Then they claimed they finished the job and had picked up the vehicle, so we did not get another tow truck and had to refile the claim.
We were again assigned to them and they didn't bother to call us or refuse the 2nd request. Instead they ignored it. We had to call and ask if they were coming, and they flat out said they were too busy and weren't coming.
Good thing we were safe and in air conditioning, because this could have been a very dangerous situation as it was a hot Florida summer day. It was over 4 hours of dealing with them when in the end they never helped us out.
We will never use them and will suggest our road side service company not to use them either.
Today was the 3rd time in 2 weeks I have had to use my State Farm Roadside Assistance all 3 times Complete Auto & Recovery LLC was assigned all 3 times and were nothing BUT professional, poignant, informative and helpful... truly thank you for the job you do, especially during this time of life. Stay safe on the roads.
My roadside service used Complete Auto and Recovery to dispatch for a flat tire on my daughter’s car. Brendan arrived promptly, was super friendly and worked quickly to get the tire changed out. I had not heard of this company prior to today but will definitely use them in the future.
Towed me when I was in a legal parking spot in st.Augustine, behind prohibition kitchen. Paid for parking and damageed my truck . they said there was a sign. There was no sign for the spot I was in. My parking ticket was on the dashboard. $264.12 plus a $2000 dollar estimate to fix my truck. Droped off police report, estimate with my phone number. Have not heard from them yet.
They damaged my vehicle and refuse to pay. Stay away from these crooks. The office manager is a liar and scammer also. They are a complete scam.Almost 2 months later and no progress Infiniti Roadside paid my claim. They said they will hold Complete Automotive responsible and will now file law suit to collect directly from them. They're low life camel buzzards, stay away or deal with at your own risk. So happy justice was served. Thank You Cross Country Motor Club for paying my claim for the low life buzzards.

My parents car broke down on their way to Tampa from PA at a rest area. Their car was towed that day by this company and then they over charged them for a total of $400. $125 for a hook up fee $48 for the mileage tow $125 for admin fees $75 for storage fee and then $24 for taxes. They threatened to put a lien on my parents license (which is like having a suspended license). We were in Tampa they gave us a hard time paying the bill over the phone and then when they did take the credit card they then charged us 5% convince fee.
Towed friends car from lot that wasn’t marked tow away, charged $275 for tow 5 minutes after they picked up, which is almost triple what Florida statute and St Johns County allows. There will definitely be a follow up from our attorney for this one. Hope their pockets are deep because this is a rip off. Good thing we could afford it, but this is robbery and most people can’t afford $275 for a tow. Oh and they would only accept cash, super sketchy.
Called to ask if they could tow a car with a flat knowing that a flatbed truck would be required. Not all companies have them available. The girl who answered the phone answered real smartly "we tow cars with flat tires all the time". Before I could even get a quote I had to give all my information. When I told her where I needed the car to be towed, she informed me they couldn't go there. If I could have given her that information right away we could have saved both of us a lot of time. Won't call this place again. Clearly a lesson in handling a phone call is needed.
What a lifesaver this company was for myself and my 2 kids today! I was finishing up a road trip with my children when my alternator went out an hour and a half from my house. My husband doesn't drive a vehicle that can fit all of us or tow my car so I called around and found Complete. The super sweet dispatcher assured me that they could look at my car today, within 30 minutes I had a driver on the scene who allowed me to use the cab of his tow truck to keep my kids cool while the owner came in his vehicle to take us all to the shop. 2 hours and 32 minutes from the time that my car broke down, a new alternator was put in and we were back on the road. Very reasonably priced, excellent excellent excellent customer service and true life savers today. Thank you again for everything.
The two men I dealt with towing my truck from Jacksonville to Palm Coast were extremely friendly. Other companies I've dealt with always act put out that they have to show up and help in a bind. They had no problems finding me (I've had that in the past from another company) and they had no problems finding where they needed to go. They unloaded my tank of a truck in my driveway in the perfect spot without any damage or having to maneuver their truck.
I believe the other one-star reviewer has it right - avoid these guys if at all possible. $164.30 for a 4.7 mile tow. It took over two hours and almost a dozen phone calls to get the car back. It was sitting in their unlocked and unattended yard when I arrived. After half an hour an employee finally showed up. I paid by credit card and the process required giving them my email address and zip code along with all the other card information. Soon as I left, I closed the credit card because looking at their location, the way they operated and their personnel, I wouldn't trust them with my credit card info any farther than I could throw them. Complete Collision is the example of everything wrong with a towing company. Again, avoid if possible.
