Had another mechanic work on my vehicle multiple times over the past year with no improvement. One visit to Christian Brothers. My vehicle drives like it’s brand new.
I brought my Toyota Rav4 in to have a side view mirror replaced. They ordered the appropriate part, and it was done very efficiently and in a timely manner.
Polite, courteous and professional. It's the 2nd time I have brought my vehicle for service. I appreciate how they do a courtesy inspection and make a list of recommendations along with quotes. You can "accept" or "deny." I have things done on my vehicle as I am able to afford. It's great to have a printed list along with quotes to keep track. I want to keep my vehicle maintained so it will last a long time! They do great work and I trust them with my vehicle. I also appreciate their complimentary shuttle service.
I’ve never had a bad experience , the staff are excellent, very friendly, especially Darian. The Mechanics are top notch. We have both of our vehicles serviced and repaired here. No reason to go anywhere else.
this place is a scam. I first called in to Christian Brothers and asked if they worked on my year truck which is 40 years old. I told them the transmission was slipping and it needs a rebuild on the phone before I even brought it in. They said yes and so I brought the truck in to get a price on rebuilding the transmission and they took notes of everything that I told them to give to the tech to look at it. They then said I may need to pay a diagnostic to see what’s going on after I told them what was going on and just needed a price to do the work. I told them that needs done. They said they did a diagnostic and the note was the exact thing I told them what was wrong with it that The transmission was slipping, but gave no indication of parts that were failed in it or a reason for it so there was no diagnostic. They probably just moved it from parking spot to parking spot. There was no detailed message about what was wrong. They then give me an estimate to rebuild the transmission which they don’t even do themselves and it was $2000 more than another shop who also warranties out the transmission and Christian brothers estimate doesn’t even give any detail about warranty I called them and complain saying you guys charge me $158 for an estimate which I think is absurd because there was absolutely no diagnostic which they were very defensive on fixing and said the best they can do is give me half of my money back so they robbed me $80 and try to charge me $4200 to rebuild a three speed automatic on a Chevy pick up truck that they don’t even do themselves. They want $1500 just to remove and reinstall the transmission so it seems like they don’t have the experience and would be winging it because a professional can do it much cheaper and faster. Avoid these people at all cost overpriced and scammers.

Sorry but I have to leave a bad review for this place. My fuel filter was kicking out on a very hot day and with me pushing an old car a little too hard. Had it towed here after being stranded on the freeway. They took a week and couldn't even DIAGNOSE the issue. The guy at Autozone diagnosed it in 5 minutes, definitively, after running some tests and selling me a nice new battery, apparently he has a masters in auto mechanics, lol. It doesn't really appear that Christian Bothers did any actual work on my car but apparently they put 80 miles on it? Did I just get scammed for a "diagnosis" that was never performed? Were they like using my car to run errands around town or what? They said the battery cables were good but when I changed the battery it was clear they never touched them, tons of corrosion came off. I'm not even sure why these guys wanted to drive my car around, after it died on the freeway. Like did they not BELIEVE me and they needed to see it die on the freeway AGAIN before they would start looking at the actual CAUSE of the issue or doing any actual DIAGNOSTICS on the car? Did they not care that they might get stranded on the freeway, or were they planning to charge me to tow it back to their shop again, or what? Old cars only stall at high speed for a few reasons, really, so maybe they could have like tested some of THOSE components, in the GARAGE, without needing to drive it all around. Like maybe they could tested the fuel pump after letting it get hot and seen the fuel pressure was low. They could have cleaned up the battery and run a test to verify the alternator, starter, and fuses were all good. Doesn't seem they did any of that, though. It doesn't actually feel like they were trying to help me fix my car, or maybe they were just not competent to do it. Either way, 1 star. Don't take your car here.
I am trying to be fair here. I worked in a car shop and was raised by a mechanic first of all. I found out what my truck had wrong and called around with the code I went with Christian brothers because their quote made the most sense was reasonable they offered rides and it was one day to fix the truck. All within the parameters I needed, happily made the deposit for parts to be ordered. Only to drop the truck off and because the check engine light came on we added diagnostic. Only to get a call three hours later. The mechanic did not feel comfortable doing the necessary disassemble to fix the truck. And now I am screwed on multiple levels and now because the check engine light is on for transmission it's not drive able. (Which I knew and was glad it didn't come on until right when I pulled into the shop) I had limited time to get this fixed. Having been raised in a shop and worked in a shop this is absolutely someone who didn't understand what the code meant and scheduled the work without checking with their techs to make sure they could do this.
Update to say I did reach out was told they will call on the seventh...still nothing..was willing to be fair and discuss but obviously it's not important to them

Point of sale is 5 stars. Best I've seen. Service gets a 1. When I left my glove box dampers rolled into my floorboard. They left them off when they pulled my cabin air filter to sell me a new one. They also left or placed a cigarette butt in my air filter box under the hood. This is the professional equivalent of spitting in a customer's coffee. It was not going to be harmful, but it pissed me off.
The staff at Christian Brothers have always gone over the top to help me. Unfortunately, due to my crappy car, I have had to visit them more often than I would like. Every time, they have taken the time to explain what is wrong with my car and what it will take to fix it. I can drop my car and they have someone drive me to work which is about a mile away from them. Always pleasant, kind and helpful. Today I got a nail in my tire and was having a horrible morning but the staff at Christian Brothers fixed it right up in less than 10 min and I was on my way. Thank you everyone there for helping my day get better. I highly recommend you to all my friends, coworkers and neighbors!!
Christian Brothers repaired my truck fast and efficiently. They were professional and friendly. CB offered shuttle services and kept me up to date with the repairs. Would recommend to anyone.
2008 F 150 160k miles.
Fuel pump went out about an hr from my home. This is one of AAA locations for repair. Tow truck driver told me to take it to the shop right next to enterprise. I was quoted $1000 for the fix. I felt that was high so called and spoke to Alex at CB, He said it would be a few hundred dollars so i had the driver take the truck to them. Alex called me i the morning and quoted me 1700. I asked what happened to the few hundred dollars he said on the phone. I was told “that’s where we start” now keep in mind…i didnt get a “that’s where we start” on the phone call. I told him i was already quoted 1k and i brought it to them because of the price he said on the phone. Now granted i felt it would be a little more than a few hundred like he said but not 4x the amount. I was then told I needed all new belts, which are actually less than a year old. I was told I needed a new switch on my emergency break because the brake light was on. It was never on before. I was then told my air filter was bad and that I needed an oil change.. I told him it had just been changed 1000 miles ago which I was wrong. It was actually 2000 but he wasn’t even smart enough to look at the sticker showing it wasn’t even due for an oil change. But what tops it off is it left with an engine light on which was never on before, not the brake light but an engine light. He then told me the mechanic didn’t write anything down about an engine light . But then went and talked to the mechanic and the mechanic said it was an ECM, Alex told me they can do a smoke test on it Alex told me go ahead and bring it in. We can diagnose it. By this time, I was already on the interstate, But to be honest, there’s not a chance I would’ve ever gone back to that shop. Alex is shady.
First time I had taken my car to them and very impressed! I had an oil change, transmission flush, and differential flush done to my truck. I dropped off my truck the night before as they have a drop box, which made things easy. They called, texted and emailed the next morning another for approval for work to be done which included another estimate which was what they had already quoted me. I approved via text, then called to make sure they received the approval, which they had. Work was done same day. My truck is running great. What really impressed me was they called to let me know what they found during the courtesy check with some further estimates and they sent an email of the courtesy check. The email was one of the most comprehensive bumper to bumper checks I have ever gotten! It included the issues, with pictures, videos, and diagrams with explanations of the work they suggested! It was very thorough! I will definitely go back for more work! The staff was incredibly nice!

We have had our vehicles serviced here for a couple years now and have had a great experience ever time. The service team at the front communicates very well with you, providing updates and expected turnaround times. The technicians do a great job on repairs and leave your car clean afterwards. I recently had a warranty issue handled by them that was fast and at completely no cost to me. They have amazing customer service!
Christian Brothers Auto always does a great job. I have a Dodge Viper. I do most of my own repair work. If I can't do the repair I take it to them. Because I trust them not to damage my Viper. They also get the job done correctly the first time. I have had multiple shops damage my car in the past or beat on the car like they own it. Not Christian Brothers. I highly recommend them if you care about your car.
I love Christian Brothers Automotive. I have taken all three of my BMW’s for oil change and tire rotation several times over the last few years. I always feel like the price is great and their team members are amazing. I have always felt honesty and transparency during my visits. They even quoted me for some work and it was much less than I was expecting to spend. All in all, I will always come back to Christian Brothers Automotive.
My first time visiting this established and let me just say this will not be my last! I was treated with wonderful customer service skills. I received a complimentary ride back to my home while my car was getting maintenance. My entire experience was well explained along with detailed understanding of items of concern for my car. The inspection report is hands down 10/10. I have never seen anything from any mechanic business so detailed and well put together. The report showed pictures and videos and just so much care. Christian Brothers Automotive of North Port, you definitely have gone above and beyond! Go see them for yourself. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Upon inspections (fee $82.93) I was told I the 2019 truck requires $3702.85 +tax worth of service. This included 2 catalytic converters. I took the vehicle to the dealer & the result is…All the services had already been done within the month when they received it as a trade in.
The truck DOES NOT need 2 catalytic converters it only needed an oxygen sensor which they are not charging us.
Don’t fall for everything you are told.
The people who waited on me were very pleasant but BS.
This was my first time using Christian Brothers and am very pleased with the services from start to finish (this included a pickup from my house). I can't tell if everything was done correctly - but I can tell you she was definitely happier on the way home. I appreciated the time they took to detail out what was needed – nothing was a surprise. I will see you all again when I bring in the “other” car.

Hello you all I will start by saying great auto repair diagnostic and services are expensive. No question about it. I have been a master mechanic for 53 years recently retired to Florida from Chicago. Needless to say that I take my car to Christian Brothers. Because their ability to perform top quality, top-notch auto services and diagnosis. I want to thank Chad and the boys at the counter Mark and David. For the great Superior, customer service and Chad because he is a master mechanic and a young one at that, got a great future For the record, I Drive a 1 ton 13 passenger E350 van and it’s not exactly a piece of cake to work on this vehicle. It’s a Truck.Chad Did my front rotors, pads, hardware my wheel bearings, replace my calipers install new wheel seals And bled my system professionally I will mention I am one demanding customer, And qualified most mechanics should know what I forgotten so when a mechanic goes up against me in diagnostic debate, etc. it’s like me going up against Michael Jordan. I’m 199% satisfied I know they’re not cheap. I could’ve went to a cheaper shop. I have the experience to even help them and I didn’t want do that so I paid for top quality, You need to keep in mind sometimes one dozen control, modules computers are more are in your vehicle You no longer need to be mechanic. You have to be a computer technician. I highly recommend this shop. You find one better get it online thank you all.

My last visit on 7/16 I needed both rear wheel bearings as well as front control arm and ball joint.
I was charged an extra $82 for them to look at my brakes because they are squeaking (even though they did no extra work because the brakes were exposed by doing that work) when it mentioned they didn’t care. I was told brakes are ok for. Ow but will need to be done next visit…
They also said I needed spark plugs ($487) and a new battery both things they had just done for me! Spark plus were exactly 1 year ago and battery only a few months.
I have to assume they don’t even look at the car.. I understand the cost of doing business and have never minded paying slightly more by bringing my car here. What I do mind is being lied to about things that don’t need to be done as well as nickel and dime to look at my brakes when they were already exposed.. the big work alone was already over $2300 again which I was fine with.

Previous had oil change and inspection was good and very informative, guy named Mitch i believe, pointed out my tires were balding on the insides and suggested a alignment. I got that last week aswell. My truck has been smooth. Guys got me in and out. Very convenient. Recommend them.
