TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My wife and I went to drop off some stainless steel there, told to break it down to get stainless prices, long story short, did that, came back, drove onto the scale, went to the window where I was told to bring load around to the back, which we did, came back after unloading 1000 plus pounds of metal by myself, only to be told “I never got your weight” which was the first lie, then after bringing and unloading again, went back to the window and was given tin scrap prices for stainless. After I corrected her, she again lied and said” I just saw you drop it in the tin pile”! After correcting her again, I asked for stainless pricing which she gasped and finally after some pouting gave me. Overall terrible experience.
No one spoke English, no help unloading, or reloading because of their mistake and lack of communication. And finally I’d like to not thank Tammy Molnar…. The worst. Some advice? Speak to people, be clear with your words, don’t just assume everyone knows exactly what to do and where to go. And don’t LIE!!!! Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Won’t go back. Ever
I've used them numerous times to purge my junk and they're always very friendly and helpful. Yesterday I hauled 3 scrap cars to them and they walked me through the process and took great care of me the whole time.
The Boss man and his Sister who work there are always friendly they get me in and out quickly as possible never rude. Now the guy currently on the excavator previously on the small scales DO NOT TRUST him off his job. He enlisted me to drive and haul scrap for half if what the scrap makes. We also went to MY places and after showing up with his brother cutting my $ to a third he ended up lied and schemed repeated and completely cheated me out of any money at all, his name is Alvin so if he should approach you about anything at all not to do with the job there then about him at all costs and anything you deal with him on if he is to pay you then ask for the money up front.
He with intent cheated me out of every cent he promised to pay me and lied all day about everything and had someone else haul my trailer with what was half mine as per our agreement when he asked me to do the job. What he did not scrap he sold to others and kept and the one ticket I did see the poundage did not match up or the item numbers did not match up to the amount we had. I consulted with a man who had given him some if the scrap we gathered and he stated the pounds and numbers were way off and that Alvin also cheated him out of over 250 dollars he volunteered to pay the man for the stuff one day while the man was at the scrap yard and talking to him. I guess the company does not mind a lying thief working for them and him using his position to steal what belongs to other people as he is doing.
But hey Kudos to the rest of the people who work there.
Just when you go there make sure you know what you have and watch and listen as they weigh it up and if by chance you do not understand a why on something the ask them because several folks have said they had issues being dealt unfairly in the pay verses the amount of scrap as I had also once taken a big hit on some number 1 copper fittings I took in (unused) I was paid not for #1 when clearly brand new unused fittings are #1
Look folks this is a small time operation if you don't like the way they run their business then don't use it. These people are just earning a paycheck. You can look at them they're not rich by no means. Why would they actually care about someone else's feelings. You don't like it open your own. I'm personally happy they're here.
THEY HARDLY EVER STAY OPEN UNTIL THE DESIGNATED TIME ON THEIR SIGN. AND WHEN THEY RUN OUT OF CASH THEY CLOSE THE GATES AND GO HOME, SO YOU BETTER GET UP AND GET THERE BEFORE 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON.
They are closed for a 4 day weekend and I just pulled up at 2:38 and they have already shut the gates. This is the laziest bunch of people I have ever seen. They are hardly ever open until 4 which is the posted close time. This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks they have been closed well before closing time. The lady who pays said she doesn't care that people don't have gas to get home when they close early. It's not her problem.
