I was greeted immediately by a nice gentleman who walked me thru the entire process of gathering my belongings from my totaled car. Reminders to grab often forgotten items like garage door opener and Sunpass. Really appreciated that. After being in an accident I was not thinking clearly and he made it all easy to understand. I appreciate you Cental Towing!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. On November 21,2024 I was handling affairs for my TERMINALLY ILL HUSBAND and ran across a bill for them that needed to be paid for a tow when his car was abandoned on the highway after having a seizure at the wheel and having to be hospitalized( before we met). Being that I’m not native to Florida I called and asked what the process was and if they could explain to me when it happend since my husband has Severe memory issues due to the seizure. During the conversation I asked less than 5 questions and was met with a very rude and disrespectful response from the receptionist. Upon my 5 question I was placed on hold and was then talking to the manager . Even though I never requested a manager I thought at least then I would be able to have any questions answered. Within 30 second of me asking asking regarding the amount and where the car was picked up from I was met with an even nastier disgusting voice on the phone telling me that either we pay or a tag won’t be issued for a new completely unrelated vehicle. I expressed that I felt he was being nasty and that I was being respectful and that he didn’t have to be nasty. The individual I now know as Pete continued to get loud, disrespectful and cut me off before could even ask the reasonable question needed when: 1: not local 2: handling the affairs for someone of disability During that conversation I was disrespected, talked to rudely and not even helped. I expressed to him that if someone is going to pay either way they should be able to ask what exactly they are paying for whether it’s tow, hauling fees, storage or anything. A second call happened approximately 30 minutes later. After calling the dmv and expressing to them the way the conversation went they gave me a list of Florida statues as well as forms I should be asking for to gain clarity on the date , time, and itemization for the tow. During this second call as soon as the receptionist heard my voice on the phone she immediately passed it to the manger to once again be the nasty vile person on the phone. I informed him that my husband would be coming in to pay for the tow since I felt uncomfortable with the manner in which he spoke to me and treated me on the phone. At which his exact words we’re “ how is your husband terminal but now he’s able to come in and pay the tow” I then expressed to him the exact definition of a terminal illness and proceeded with requesting the itemization and asking if the vehicle had been sold already. They expressed it wasn’t sold and that it was given to a salvage yard and I asked for proof of that as well as the itemization receipt for the amount that will be payed today. Once again he began to deflect and become disrespectful and untamed as he was in the previous conversation. His words were “ for someone that claims they aren’t from Florida you are surely shooting off a lot of laws and statues”. I proceeded to tell him these laws were given to me from the dmv to ensure that I was getting the proper treatment and response that is required of them. He told me that they don’t “ usually” give out an itemization for tows and that all they give are a handwritten receipt. I told him that was not sufficient and he began trying to go back and forth with me about what he USUALLY does. A person is entitled to know what they are paying for and are also allowed to ask for any documents regarding THEIR CAR that they are attempting to collect on. This tow has been paid and handled but this will not go unnoticed. I would much rather push my car with my bare hands from Davenport to Tampa then to ever use this company for anything.

Marsha was very rude. Won’t be back or be recommending this towing company. Just another place that takes advantage of people and squeezes as much money as they can.

I was totally distraught having to venture to a towing company to get the items from my totaled vehicle. Paul was most accommodating and understanding as well as Marcia. I was still in much shock after the accident and his explanation and demeanor made it easier to comprehend everything

My son was recently in an accident with his first ever car. He didn't believe the tow company would be as helpful as they were. I was not able to help my son due to my work schedule, but my son had many good things to say about a man named Paul for helping him out while retrieving some things from his car in a difficult time. I would like to thank Paul and Central Towing for helping my son through a difficult situation. God Bless.

My husband was in a serious auto accident this week. Pete and Marcia were very understanding and helpful during a difficult time for me! Pete was so helpful in assisting me with the safe removal of the remaining contents of my husband's badly damaged car. I am thankful for their help!

Had no choice on towing company and I got stuck with this “company”. $150 for the tow $48 dollars to travel 8 miles (6.9 to be exact) then 45 dollars for an admin fee to “process paperwork” 2 people work in that office. And then $30.00for having my truck less than 12 hours. $300 for having my truck less then 12 hours and traveled less then 10 miles! Find someone else!!!

We were in accident and were cared for and Pete made sure what was in our car right get stolen. He meet us out the day after and let us get everything. Marcia and Pete were great to work with. Never had any issues and were polite and nice to us

This company was awesome. At my wreck the guy was super informative and made me feel like it was taken care of. Next day going to get my items he was there to greet me and take me to my car. Awesome service during a difficult time.

Car was towed by these guys, spoke with the owner he said he didn't have time to finish the call, wouldn't give us pricing, said he used two tow trucks to pull out a small vehicle that had one tire stuck. Owner was rude and nasty. Will be following up with Polk County about using this joke of a company. Owner obviously was raised by terrible parents

SCAM ARTISTS. HORRIBLE, horrible, and let me say it one more time, HORRIBLE. I also had no choice in who was used because I was in a wreck. But, DO NOT USE THEM. Tell the police you want someone else to tow your car if you are in wreck. They are unbelievable rude, incompetent, and completely take advantage of people's horrible situations, charging completely exorbitant prices knowing we have NO CHOICE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I was in a wreck. Had no choice of who I used...after I left the hospital days later and a weekend holiday... I got to my car to get my stuff out before having it towed to a body shop....when I got home going thur my things I remembered I went shopping at Ross the night before and the 2 bags of clothes and shoes was missing... and some non perishable items was also not there. That I had just bought at Walmart before the accident. I will call the office tomorrow and c what they say...

The treat people like they’re above them and they’re rude. They do not elaborate on any policies is over all a very poor company for treating people with dignity and respect.
